Hi
I work with Premierre pro CS4. When I export my media the adobe media encoder seems to be working fine when I push start queue, untill l get the error message [..\..\src\RemoteImporterModule.cpp-282] This only happens with one particular project, but with all sequences in this project. Can anyone tell me what it means, and what I should do to be able to export my movie. I have tried different formats, but none of them work.Dylan,
I agree with John T. on starting a new post. I almost did not even view this one, due to the course that it has run.
We might be able to get a poor, overworked MOD to "branch it," but then the title might not generate enough interest. In a forum, like this one, the post's title is sort of like a magazine's cover on the news stand - it needs to grab people, in hopes that they will at least look inside of it.
If you do create a new post/discussion, we can Copy John T's questions to it, but do not hesitate to incorporate those answers into your post. We can do that, as mere users, and do not need a MOD's console to do it.
The more info, that you can add, the fewer questions you will get, and the sooner people can get to work on your issue.
If I understand correctly, I do not recall reading of this. However, and predicated on the answers to John T's questions, there might be something else happening.
Good luck, and I will look for the new post.

Hello,
Does anyone have any ideas for a solution to the following Premiere Pro CS 5 error message? Any tips/ideas would be appreciated! Full error message below:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
[/Scully64/shared/adobe/MediaCore/Backend/Make/Mac/../../Src/Sequence/TrackItem.cpp-177]
Error message occurs when editing/cutting out parts of footage to intergrate into a timeline sequence, when this error appears unable to continue using Premiere
Footage contains MP4 and AAC (audio)
using Premiere Pro CS5 v5.0.4, running on Mac OS X 10.9.1 (Marvericks) on Macbook pro (early 2011) with processor speed 2.7GHz (Core i7), 64-bit, 500 SATA, 4GB memory.1. I did use PluralEyes to sync it, its a 3 camera shoot plus separate audio capture. I am running the latest version of Plural Eyes 3.
2. as far as I know I'm up to date on everything, I am running an 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 iMac with an AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB graphics card, with 10.9.2
3. It was triggered by a specific clip, which oddly enough was a clip that Plural Eyes didn't sync with the audio, I was able to trim the clip in the timeline, then it worked fine.
However, I just started a new project and I am having the same issue.
4. Tried the new sequence trick, didn't work
5. Tried this as well, no luck
Seems like the only work around was to trim the clip, then I was able to do what I needed and had no other problems on that project, but like I said it has no reappeared on a new project. For clarity sake it is different footage but shoot on the same camera, just on a different date -
I found that when I zoomed into the sequence a lot using the +- keys, that the error message "..\..\Src\AudioRender\AudioPrefetch.cpp-99" kept jumping out at me. It was the last 3 steps of zooming in or out that brought the error message up on screen - a lot of times. It was only happening in one sequence in a particular project. I tried the suggestions for similar error messages that I found on this forum, but I eventually realised that in this project I had a WMV file (PowerPoint exported as a WMV file) which also had *audio* with it. (All the other sequences have WMV files but without audio.)
Going to the troublesome sequence and deleting the sound track from the WMV file fixed the problem. Next, I deleted the WMV file and put it back again. No error message. I then dropped the audio level to zero using the yellow line and the problem came back.
There is one other thing, the PowerPoint WMV file is 30fps and I’m in PAL land, so I interpreted the frame rate to 25fps. (So that PowerPoint transitions and movements etc. are smoother). I re-imported the original 30fps WMV file and put that in the sequence as 30 fps. Lowered the audio level to zero, and zoomed into the sequence. No error messages.
So it looks like a combination of WMV file, interpreting the footage and lowering the audio level to zero that caused this problem.
Do I need to post this somewhere so that Adobe gets to see this bug? (OK it is a rather unlikely combination of events.)It's not as unlikely as you think. I just ran into the same exact thing. But I don't think it's the WMV.
I'm using footage from a Canon 5D Mark III shot at 60fps, then interpreted to 23.976 and dropped in a 23.976 timeline. I've also adjusted the volume on some of these clips, but not down to -∞. Since the error is "...AudioRender/AudioPrefetch.cpp-99" it makes sense that this is an audio related issue. I have also noticed that in the timeline, my yellow levels line and waveforms disappear when this error comes up.
So far I've been able to get around this bug by copying the clips into a new timeline, but this eventually comes back again.
The one question I have, is are you editing from an external hard drive? I've been editing at work off an external, then backing it up and working off internal drives when I get home. My external drive has been disconnecting itself lately, but it's never been around or at the same time as this error. Thought I'd still check with others though. -

>I am getting this error message "..\..\src\ppixHandleUtilities.cpp_114". I just started getting it in Adobe Premiere CS3 today. It occurs every time I start or stop the video in the timeline. I can not find an answer in the Help menu. Any suggestions?
Please provide 'these details' to help us help you.
'These details' is linked to the link - http://premierepro.wikia.com/wiki/Troubleshooting#WikiaArticle
Just for the benefit of all!
Btw, I've checked with the wonderful list you've provided on that link.
Sorry about my dumb questions below as I'm a victim of this error message as well...
OS - Windows XP
Software - Adobe Premiere CS3
Video type - Digital
Gear - Canon 5D Mark II
Files used -
1. .mov, shot with a Canon 17-40mm (wide-angle) and a Canon 50mm 1.4 (portrait) lenses.
2. Default stills.
Audio - One .mp3 track throughout
Video length - 6 minutes
Project frame size -
HD Anamorphic 1080, because of the wide-angle. The other Pixel Aspect ratios are cropping the existing clips
Export format -
Compressor - DV PAL
PAR: HD Anamorphic 1080
Tadaaa I get the error message stated above!
My question(s) -
Since I've shot clips with a wide-angle lens and a 50mm which is not wide at all, would these be conflicting with each other?
Should we use only one lens (mm) to shoot the entire video clippings?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Much appreciated! -
I have created a slideshow in PSE5 and exporting to Premiere Elements 3. As it was being exported, I received an error message as Premiere tried to open. The message is listed above in title. It has never happened before.
I have no idea what it means. Wondering if I should just replace with Version 9 but would this correct the problem?
All comments welcome. Thanks!Hi Steve: Your questions were very helpful. I am now able to load Premiere
3!! In my travels over the last few days to see if I could fix the problem,
I also downloaded Premiere 9 but it would not let me access it. It now loads
properly too! I did a defragmentation and also ran the system program to
check for memory problems. The memory checker seemed to re-set my computer
back to the beginning and caused a few moments of panic but everything ok
now. So, thanks very much for taking the time to look at my query and
respond. Much appreciated! -
im new here, Need help...!!

Adobe media encoder error message - please help
I purchased adobe creative suite 4 web standard in january of 2010. I'm in the process of learning how to use all the features. I am building a website in dreamweaver and wanted to create and import a flash movie. I opened adobe media encoder from my program files. I added an avi file to the encoder, chose a medium quality for web, and clicked Start Queue. I then got the following pop up error message:
Error Message:
Adobe Media Encoder Debug Event
Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an error.
[..\..\Src\Win\WinFile.cpp-754]
Please help.
Thank You.This forum is for "flash media live encoder". For Adobe Media Encoder related queries go to Creative Suite forums.

Within the box, underneath the heading of the error message is: /OLS/develpment/main/bridge/3.2.0/build/mac/../../sdk/src/COLS.cpp#19: 16
A little more info. What version of PSE? Did you just upgrade to 10.8? Did you do any housekeeping after doing so?

Major headaches with copying files and folders between drives. I constantly (and I mean constantly) have to resort to copying files across in small batches (fewer than 10 works best) because anytime I try to copy lots of files and folders from my mac to an external hard drive (or from one external HD to a second external HD), I ALWAYS get the error message "The operation can't be completed because an item with the name .DS_Store already exists".
The files and folders are all Mac-generated, so hint or trace of foreign OSs in the mix.
All file types are susceptible
the HDs are all Mac OS X formatted, no foreign file formats involved
the HDs are all journal-enabled, OS X extended formats
have looked on here for previous posts, past suggestion was to disable creation of DS_Store files - not really a solution and realistically, defeats the purpose of their creation
any ideas anyone?
would appreciate any thoughts or sugestions, this has got me beat
the context is that I have a lot of image files that I am copying (trying to...) new external 3TB drives for backup and the job appears endless if I have to do this in batches of 10 or so..!
many thanks for any suggestionsThis is definitively a nuisance. When copying large amounts of files between volumes try opening a terminal window and use use ditto. You need to type the directory paths of the source and the destination volume. When it starts ditto just coupes and optionally overwrites anything on the destination. You can get a verbose mode where it lists all activities.
gunnars-mac-mini-i7:Volumes gunnar$ man ditto

Random restarts, Software malfunction? Error message.
Hi everyone!
I would like to ask for your help. My MacBook Pro started the have a malfunction about 1 month ago.
It has been randomly restarting by itself. As you can imagine this can be very annoying when you are working on your projects.... (saving every second)
So basically I brought my mbp to an apple store where they ran all the hardware tests. They said it was the Hard Drive so I bought a brand new hdd and replaced it by myself, reinstalled the system (mountain lion) without a problem. BUT A day after, when I fully copied al my documents from the hard drive I had before (wasn't damaged physically) the restarting started again.
I would highly appreciate if anyone could advise me what to do... since I changed the hard drive and apple said there are no hardware problems.
After all the restarts (there were a lot) I always got an error message which is the following:

Hi, thank you. I brought my computer to an apple store genius bar already and they said there is no hardware problem.
They said, they have no personnel to read the kernel panic... I'm in France.
Then you went to a store that does not seem to have qualified personnel. This is the extract from the kernel panic report that clearly indicates the GPU issue:
Whether your HDD has a problem is a separate issue, but there is no indication here that there is a HDD problem.

Project suddenly won't open, error message displayed
Can anyone shed any light on the following error message?
[\Monk\main\common\PremiereShell\Src\PlayerFactory.cpp-379]
I'm half way through a project; all was well when I shut down yesterday, but today the project won't open. The error message offers me a "continue" option, but doing so only opens a "working" dialogue which sits at 0% and does nothing. Audition is otherwise happy, all other projects opening fine, just not the one I need!
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks
Aidan"so If I save a back up of my project under the same name...and then the original gets corrupted...then the backup will ALSO not work unless it's been labeled under a different name??"
Well if someone saves a backup under the same name in the same location then clearly it is actually overwritting the original and yes as they are now the same session then if one is corrupt the 'backup' is corrupt.
Clearly this isn't a backup.
But in your situation you are making a backup to a different drive/etc so if the original session file (.ses) gets corrupted no your backup will not be corrupted.
You can try this utility http://www.mediasweeper.com.au/sesbackup.htm its pretty handy for hunting down & backing up all or selected session files.
You can also use this utility http://www.mediasweeper.com.au/ to examine your session files and see the exact path of the files referenced within your session file.
But note that if you make a copy of your session & media (ie the whole folder - lets say on H: drive) and put it on another drive (say E:) if you open the session on the E: drive then (as MediaSweeper will show you) AA will open the session on E: and reference the files on the H: drive but if those files are no longer on the H: drive (ie the original location) then AA will look in the current folder that the session is in.
Its handy to know that otherwise you may think you are working on a backup but you are actually working on the original.
Remember as with all software - Save early and save often! -
Still have the same error messages
Hi Rajiv,
Thanks a lot for your help. I tried to load the java package
before I exported my images. The loading java worked sucessfully,
however the same error messages came out when I exported images.
Actually, I stored five JPEG images as ORDSYS.ORDImage in a table
for a test. Below is my image-loading codes and the images are
truely in the database since I proved it by running a
check-properties script.
-- This program will create a table called imgtable and import
-- five .jpg files into it. Also the status of the images will
-- be checked.
connect imgdemo/imgdemo;
set serveroutput on
set echo on
-- decomment for demo images
drop table imgtable;
create table imgtable (id number,
Image ORDSYS.ORDImage);
-- Insert a row with empty BLOB.
insert into imgtable values(1,ORDSYS.ORDImage.init());
-- Insert a row with empty BLOB.
insert into imgtable values(2,ORDSYS.ORDImage.init());
-- Insert a row with empty BLOB.
insert into imgtable values(3,ORDSYS.ORDImage.init());
-- Insert a row with empty BLOB.
insert into imgtable values(4,ORDSYS.ORDImage.init());
-- Insert a row with empty BLOB.
insert into imgtable values(5,ORDSYS.ORDImage.init());
--importimg.sql
set serveroutput on
set echo on
-- Import the two files into the database.
DECLARE
obj ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE;
ctx RAW(4000) := NULL;
BEGIN
-- This imports the image file img71.gif from the IMGDIR
directory
-- on a local file system (srcType=FILE) and sets the properties.
select Image into obj from imgtable where id = 1 for update;
obj.setSource('FILE','IMGDIR','1.jpg');
obj.import(ctx);
update imgtable set image = obj where id = 1;
commit;
-- This imports the image file img50.gif from the IMGDIR
directory
-- on a local file system (srcType=FILE) and sets the properties.
select Image into obj from imgtable where id = 2 for update;
obj.setSource('FILE','IMGDIR','2.jpg');
obj.import(ctx);
update imgtable set image = obj where id = 2;
commit;
select Image into obj from imgtable where id = 3 for update;
obj.setSource('FILE','IMGDIR','3.jpg');
obj.import(ctx);
update imgtable set image = obj where id = 3;
commit;
select Image into obj from imgtable where id = 4 for update;
obj.setSource('FILE','IMGDIR','4.jpg');
obj.import(ctx);
update imgtable set image = obj where id = 4;

select Image into obj from imgtable where id = 5 for update;
obj.setSource('FILE','IMGDIR','5.jpg');
obj.import(ctx);
update imgtable set image = obj where id = 5;

END;
-- chkprop.sql
set serveroutput on;

properties_match := image.checkProperties;
IF properties_match THEN DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Check Properties

dbms_output.put_line('BLOB Length: '||

END loop;
END;
The program that I used to export images is as follows:
-- retrive an image in the database and display it
connect internal;
CALL DBMS_JAVA.GRANT_PERMISSION (
'IMGDEMO',
'java.io.FilePermission',
'/home/oracle/img/test.dat',
'write');
CONNECT imgdemo/imgdemo;
SET SERVEROUTPUT ON
SET ECHO ON
create or replace directory imgdir
as '/home/oracle/img';
grant read on directory imgdir to public with grant option;
(line 1) DECLARE
src ORDSYS.ORDImage;
ctx RAW(4000) := NULL;
BEGIN
-- Select the desired photograph from the stockphotos table.
SELECT Image INTO src FROM imgtable WHERE id = 1;
ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE.export(src, ctx,'FILE','IMGDIR','test.dat');
EXCEPTION

RAISE;
-- EXCEPTION

-- DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line('Source METHOD_NOT_SUPPORTED caught');
--WHEN ORDSYS.ORDSourceExceptions.SOURCE_PLUGIN_EXCEPTION THEN
-- DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line('SOURCE PLUGIN EXCEPTION caught');
--WHEN OTHERS THEN
-- DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line('OTHER EXCEPTION caught');
END;
host ls -l ~/img/test.dat;
The error message is as follows:
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
ORA-06512: at "ORDSYS.ORDSOURCE", line 354
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
ORA-06512: at line 13
I really tried everything to fix it and still doesn't work. I
guess maybe the export method is not implemented for intermedia.
Best regards,
KaiKai,
You're almost there! I apologize for not providing a complete
response previously. I thought the webiv note had sufficient
details on java file permissions.
For export to work, ORDSYS needs write permissions on the file
as well.
call DBMS_JAVA.GRANT_PERMISSION( 'ORDSYS',
'java.io.FilePermission',
'/home/oracle/img/test.dat',
'write');The interMedia documentation doesn't correctly describe all the
requirements for granting file write access using
DBMS_JAVA.GRANT_PERMISSION. You must
either grant write access to public, or to both a specific user
and the ORDSYS user name. For example, you might grant write
access to all files in all directories to ORDSYS and write access
to all files in a specific directory to SCOTT.
call DBMS_JAVA.GRANT_PERMISSION( 'ORDSYS',
'java.io.FilePermission',
'<<ALL FILES>>',
'read,write');
call DBMS_JAVA.GRANT_PERMISSION( 'SCOTT',
'java.io.FilePermission',
'D:\ordjava\test\data\*',
'read,write');See the security and performance section in Oracle Java
Developer's Guide and the java.io.FilePermission class in the
Java API for more.
Hope that helps,
Rajiv
