02 PAY AS YOU GO ADVICE

Hello
i have just purchased a new iphone 32gb model on pay as you go, looking to spend 10 a month on top which i believe gives me 3oo texts messages and so many minutes free calls. However when i text my credit shows minus 10p per text, is this right?
im used to contracts so not been on pay as you go for some time, but i presumed my credit would only go down once 300 texts have been used.
Secondly following from charges how do i set up the phone to get the free internet?
thanks

The O2 site says...
When you first get your iPhone, it'll be on Favourite Place. It gives you unlimited¹ calls to UK landlines and O2 mobiles from any postcode you choose. The more you top up, the more minutes you'll get:
* Top up £10-£14 and get 500 minutes
* Top up £15-£29 and get 1000 minutes
* Top up £30+ and get unlimited minutes
You will need to change your tariff if you want free texts.

  • Cell phone pay as you go - need advice

Yikes... my head is spinning...I have seen so many phones the past few days ( and reviews etc ) on internet sites... I am totally lost.
had a cell phone years ago when motorola made them first.. traxar or something ?? was expensive ( $800 ? ).. and had monthly ATT service unlimited ( also expensive ).
that was during 1st season of " sopranos ".. long time ago.
since then I've just had a land line...with fios... internet and tv included.
now I need a cell phone again due to move to MN from NY. I have no clue how long it will take to get internet out there etc... in new apartment.
my computers will get set up right away when I get there..and one has a wi fi card installed ...so if I can find wi fi thats not passwrd protected .... I could maybe use it ...for internet. BUT ( this is a big BUT ) some stuff I do ( banking etc ) on internet is security sensitive to ME.... and I dont want to get virus through some network or have my security breached.
SOOOOO ... question is... can I get a pay as you go phone that also has features for basic email ( in and out ) and also a browser like firefox so I can do banking etc ???
ORRRRR should I just get a simple phone with no other services.... and then use whatever I can find in MN until I get my stuff hooked up....( like library computer or something ).
I am so confused by all the choices and different model phones etc... my head is spinning !!!

    Chuck,

Will you be working in the TV/film industry in Minnesota?
    =============
I dont think so. My first reaction to this question was : I would rather have a sharp stick in my eye.
But giving it more thought, I realize unless I find some staff position with a producer where I actually add value to the enterprise I would rather not work freelance ( per diem ) anymore. I need more than that now, but also less. I need less " money" but I need more re: my contribution.. even if it's simply helping others do what they want.
I have a feeling MN is not going to be full of opportunities to do that in the film and tv biz ( or tv commercials, industrials etc ) whether on shoot crews, construction, rigging, production, editing, sound, etc.  It may be that fishing is the main activity out there... as there are a lot of lakes where I'm going. They must have fish in them ?  It's weird but somehow " fishes " seems to be beckoning me to some new life out of the city etc.  First it was trout. Now its trout again... plus even MORE fish types... who knows.. I have no clue about fish.
For example, what do fish actually DO ?  They are doing stuff under water and its hard to see them and what they actually DO all day long etc. To me its a mystery.
Anyway, I am now having internet, phone and TV service installed at new apartment before I get there...made the arrangements this morning.... and the need for a cell phone etc has been greatly reduced... I might not get anything at all now for the actual " drive " out there.
Will see what my money situation is in next week or so... might get cell phone but not the internet and email stuff just for the drive.  Every penny counts when moving and leaving the biz you've done for the last 30 plus years etc.

  • Pay as you go, simple advice

    Hi all,
If I buy a pay as you go iphone on the O2 network, I get 12 months on unlimited 3G data and wifi access.
    1) Can I access internet when there is no wifi hotspot?
    2) If I buy another iphone pay as you go after 12 months, will I get the 12 months unlimited 3G data and wifi access again, hence, by passing to pay £10/month for it ? (provided they are still offering it)
    Thanks!

Question 1...yes with the 3G you can access internet and data with no WIFI
Question 2 is really something you'd have to ask O2

  • Nokia c3 wifi problem with asda pay as you go sim

    Any advice greatly appreciated.
Bought a brand new nokia c3 on vodafone pay as you go today because I knew that  I would be able to use my Asda pay as you go sim with no problems.
Put my Asda sim straight in and everything seems to be in order except when  I try to browse the internet through my home wifi it keeps saying I need to subscribe to packet data first. No browser opens up at all.
I use the same sim with my n95 and browse through wifi with no problems.
    Am I missing something obvious?

Is your original contract SIM also an Orange SIM? If not, it could be that your premicell is SIM-locked to the original network. If this is the case you'll need to contact the operator with which you have the current contract and ask them for the network unlock code.
I'm not entirely convinced of the 3G vs. 2G argument because I have hade several really old phones (Philips fizz and Xenium 9@9, Alcatel BE4 to name but 3) that dodn't even do GPRS, only CSD, but which did accept my Orange USIM no problem.

    Hello
European VAT (Sales Tax) is not payable on calls as it has already been charged on the purchase of Skype Credit/Subscriptions.
Tax (where applicable) is charged at the Luxembourg rate of 15%.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

  • Pay as you go or pay per month sub?

Okay, I will try and make this as simple as I can. My mother lives in the uk and would like to call to mostly just mobiles to Australia. Landlines would be okay, but for the time just mobile numbers.
I have seen the 60 mins, 120 mins or 400 mins pay as you go but how fast does skype credit go? http://www.skype.com/intl/en/prices/pay-monthly/?currency=AUD&source=account#AU
I was a little unsure as I have never bought skype credit myself if this was the right option to go with or not. I got worried when I saw "pay-monthly" as if it was a subscription plan or not. If I bought that, would that come out each month from my visa card? or would I pay when I feel I need to get more credit? I think I'm a bit confused..
I also looked up if you could gift skype credit, but I'm not sure if that is in option to do in Australia.
What would be the best and cheapest option to go for my mother?
Thanks - I really need some advice with this.

It sounds like you did your homework.  All of this depends on your mother's calling - how often would she call Australia, and for how long.  After a little while, a subscription would be a better way to go.  It would cost less than continuing to pay the per-minute rate for calls paid for with Skype Credit.  Unfortunately, there are no "unlimited" subscriptions covering calls to Australian mobiles, due in large part to the costs of calling those phones.  The "Pay monthly" options are subscriptions, which would automatically renew every month - but can be cancelled when you don't need them.
As for how fast Skype Credit would be be used up, that again depends on how often your mother would call Australia.  She should be able to look at previous phone bills, or how often she pays for phone cards, to get an idea of her calling to Australia.  Or you can do that for her.  That will be the bottom line in determining which is the best and most cost-effective option for her.

  • Verizon iPhone 5s - in UK - enabled Global voice and data plan (pay as you go) - no service

Situation is as stated in the title.  I have taken my iPhone 5S from the US to the UK, and before leaving I added the free pay as you go global feature to my plan.  However, now that I am here, the phone says "No Service" and I can do nothing with it related to voice or data unless I am on WiFi.  Live Chat is not working.  I tried dialing the 800 number from my international flip phone and it cannot recognize my push button menu selection tones and so hangs up on me (no provision for accessing a customer service rep or vioce recognition).
Any thoughts on how I can get my phone up and running while I am here?

Hi there, bob_e_iphone5s! I'm terribly sorry to see you're having trouble with service while travelling abroad. It's true that you'll have difficulty reaching our Customer Care team with the 800 number. But you can use this link http://vz.to/1k7RFqd to reach our Global Services team. There's even a number you can use to call from international locations, toll free!

So I basically won't run into any trouble? I
There should be no issues. Its designed to work like that.  You don't change Apple IDs just because you get a new device.

Is there any chance that the phones can fall out of sync?
Unlikely. But nothing is impossible.   Though I don;t see how that would happen. As long as both are signed into the Same Apple ID / iCloud Account they will be N'Sync. (Bad Joke)

If I get a message or buy an app or take a photo on the iPhone 5, how do I get those things onto the iPhone 6?
If you buy an App, you have 2 ways to get it to the iPhone6: If Automatic Downloads is enabled in Settings->iTunes & App Store, it will automatically download to the iPhone 6 when you buy it on the 5 and vice versa if you buy it on the 6, it will download to the 5.
Alternatively, you can simply go to the App Store App->Updates->Purchased and look for the App there and download it. Purchased Apps will not require payment again. i.e They'll be free to download to the iPhone 6 once purchased.
SMS Messages will sync over using Continuity as long as they are on the same Wifi network. Otherwise, restoring the iPhone 5 backup to the iPhone 6 will transfer all messages received up until the backup was made onto the iPhone 6.
Images, can be transferred either through Photo Stream
My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support
Or any Cloud service you want such as Dropbox, or One Drive.

Also, something i forgot to ask initially: Should I update the iPhone 5 to iOS 8 first or does that not matter?
If you want the Continuity features as explained above you need to update the iPhone 5 to iOS 8. Otherwise its not all that important.

  • Can I buy a phone verizon pay as you go and use it on my verizon contract?

My verizon wireless broke and I don't have insurance and I'm six months before I can qualify to renew a contract, so I'm stocked in trying to get a second hand phone, but I saw the same model of my broken phone selling in flea bay from the verizon pay as you go. My question is, can I use one of those phones to be activated on my verizon? I would hate to buy the phone and later find out that verizon won't activate it.

we have a long list of disabled/deleted users in AD
Somehow, they are still appeared as active user in Sharepoint Online.
How do we get rid of those list?
    Hope you can advice. Thanks.

SharePoint does not remove users from SharePoint permissions just because they were deleted/disabled in AD. This is to maintain referential integrity. In fact, when you delete a user from SharePoint, that user remains in the SharePoint content database,
    just marked as deleted.
They do not have access to SharePoint given their account is deleted/disabled. But as far as automatically managing this, I'm not aware of a tool. On-prem there is Metalogix ControlPoint which does a great job of this, I haven't explored the O365 options.

  • How can I get a pay as you go nano sim for my Ipad mini celluler

I was bought an Ipad Mini Cellular for Xmas but it did not come with a nano sim, I have contacted all servcie providers and no-one can provide me with a pay as you go nano sim, I can only get a contract nano sim, but I want a daily one like you can get for the Ipad and micro sim.
All providers advertise the daily packages on the Apple website but when you speak to them they are not available.
I feel like  have been mis sold the Ipad mini as I cannot use it with cellular daily plan, unless I requested a nano sim at time of purchase (which was not done), so now apple say they cant help, has anyone had a similar issue ?

    virgoanDiva wrote:
If it is wifi only then you cannot add a sim card.  If you are still within the 14 day return period then return it and purchase one plus a wireless plan from a wireless provider.  Otherwise, you need a mobile hotspot to use when there is no wifi available.

  • The battery on my iphone 4s is broken, will the apple store be able to replace it for me? will there be a cost? i have had my phone for 2 years. it is a pay as you go

i think the battery on my iphone 4s is broken, my phone was taking hours to charge and now it wont charge at all, my phone has been dead for the past 3 days. would my local apple store be able to replace it for me? if so will there be a cost? my phone is 2 years old but in good condition. it is pay as you go. at first i thought my charger was broke, so i bought a new one. but it is definetly my phone battery.

Not at an Apple Store, and if the iPhone is no longer under warranty, there is a cost.

  • IPhone 3GS pay as you go

A friend of mine just gave me her old iPhone 3GS to replace my broken Samsung intensity 2. I have been a long time verizon customer and wish to keep my service with them. I know to upgrade to a smartphone I will need to upgrade to a smart phone pay as you go plan vs the basic pay as you go plan I currently have, but I'm curious if I can even activate to particular phone on the verizon network. I've been looking around online and feel I'm getting conflicting information since the iPhone 3 has already become so outdated for most people. When I turn the phone on it says I need a SIM card. I've never had one with any of my verizon phones, but from what I've seen I can go and ask for one at the store. If getting the 3G LTE SIM card enough to get this phone working with the verizon network?

Im sorry to say this but it will not work.  The reason why, Verizon Wireless only uses CDMA networks in the United States.  The iphone 3GS (model A1332) works off GSM networks only and has no CDMA compatible radio in the unit.  And even though Sim cards may look the same,  Verizon LTE Sim cards only work on CDMA LTE phones.  the 4G LTE simcards will not function in a GSM only phone without a "CDMA 4G LTE" radio built in the handset.
Verizon Wireless will offer international sim cards to be used in a unlocked GSM phone or a compatible world phone ( phones with both CDMA and GSM radios built in )but those sims only work overseas and not in the United States.   The iPhone 4s A1387, and the CDMA iphone 5 A1429 are Apple's examples of world phones that are compatible with Verizon both here in the United States and Overseas.   Hope this helps.
