08/09/Color files/Domain

Hi, help please:
1.
Correct if I´m wrong, but I had my website made with iWeb 08 published to Mobile Me (.Mac).
My published pages look blue(?) and when I made some changes they became red(?) in order to show which ones I should publish again. Am I wrong? Red-Blue/blue-Red? I´m confused
Now I update to iWeb 09 and ALL my website is in red pages. Must I publish the entire site again to turn them into blue?
2.
I used to see my domain with a green light on the base of iWeb window. Not anymore on 09 version?
3.
I used to had my domain name on the Inspector window; not anymore?
Thanks very much.

1 - All the pages are shown red because in the updating to iWeb 3 changes were made to every page and they all need to be republished.
2 - I don't remember any green light but then I didn't look very carefully.
3 - the Inspector/Page/Page pane shows the page name when you select a page. Again, I don't remember the site name being in that window unless the first page had the same name as the site.

  • It appears that Apple has taken away the ability to highlight, in color, file names, replacing them with just a hard-to-see colored dot. Can I get back the ability to highlight the whole file name in color?!

It appears that Maverick has banishd the ability to highlight, in color, file folder names, replacing the color highlight band with a hard-to-see color dot. Is there a way to get the color-band highlight ability to operate?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Apple has replaced that feature in OS X Mavericks by color tags, so you cannot get it back. The only thing you can do is to send feedback to Apple about it, so they will think about including it in future OS X versions > http://www.apple.com/feedback

  • Sending Color file to FCP Looses Links to Rendered Files

I have several Color files that are very similar and from the same project. All of them Send the XML file from Color to FCP beautifully, except one. What would cause the Color export to FCP loose the connections to the rendered files and revert back to the R3D files?

I had the same issue with one of my projects recenty.
The only solution seems to reconnect at FCP each clip with the equivalent in the 'Color renders' directory, the XML keeps the original names and looses the rendered clips paths. I hope Apple can correct this bug of they are able to reproduce it as it happened to us.

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

  • COLOR files re-connection..help!

Hi folks...I'm trying to reconnect COLOR files back to my project on an external drive. The COLOR files have been moved off the main machine but I can't seem to reconnect them back to my Final Cut Studio project.
I was making a short video on FC7 on a MAC machine at work. I was using an external drive to save all my project to but had forgotten to point the COLOR program to it. All the COLOR files were on the machine's Internal drive. I copied them off onto the external drive where everything else is but couldn't re-connect them to the files in Final Cut. The other machine at work suffered a fatal error last week and has now died. I've tried re-connecting the files through Final Cut and also through COLOR but nothing works. All the processed COLOR clips come up in Final Cut with 'Media Offline'. Please help...I've been working on the short for months!!

Thanks Shane... I tried the single location thing before but no luck. I navigated directly to the file that had the right name but it just wouldn't connect. I honestly don't know what the problem is.
I'll try the render thing you suggest. My only worry is that it will create new files in Final Cut that won't be part of my edited sequence. Thanks again for chipping in though.

  • File "Domain.site2" ist damaged, Websites don't open

I've got a problem - can't open the websites I've created as the file "domain.sites2" seems not to contain all the information of the 4 sites I created.
The sites are there, but I can't access them via iWeb. I have no idea, why domain.sites is damaged or "almost empty". Does anyone have an idea how to avoid the process of re-building all the websites? Can I build a new domain-file with the websites that sre still on my HD?
Thanks in advance for helpful hints

  • Cann't open file domain.sites2

Cann't open the file Domain.Sites 2 of iWeb on my MacBook.
My MacBook is running on OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
I did run the program of verify and repair permissions and since then teh problem started

    Try the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iWeb's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
3 - launch iWeb and try again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
    launch iWeb and try again.

  • Default photoshop .ACO color file name

Does anyone know the name of the default ACO color file?  As a teacher, I have a student that has lost all the red colors in his swatches.  The machine is used by other students and their colors are fine.  I've tried resetting his colors and everything else I can find and have chatted with here on the forums.  I'm starting to think that somehow he deleted the aco folder or something.  Thanks!

Right-click the PS app file>Select Show Package Contents>Required>Default

You might copy from another machine and save in this location to replace

  • Do I need a new external HD to export the Color files?

I'm about to color correct the film I edited on FCP using Color. I'm a bit confused about a few issues. The first is that I shot my project using the HVX on P2 cards, then transfered it to my 500g glyph drive. The first question is, when you are done grading the film, does Color create completely new XML / Quicktime files, just like my original source material? Or does it just render the original media on my external hardrive using the color settings? If it DOES create new media, am I looking at a bunch of new quicktime files that will fill up my external hardrive? It's already pretty full. Do I have to invest in a second drive for the color corrected media?
I also read in the manual that you have to name the new color files the exact same names as your original Quicktime source files so FCP can reconnect the media to your sequence. Obviously I'm nervous about overwriting the original files on my drive, or confusing final cut pro. I know I could just save them in a different folder, but having two files named identical things on the same external drive seems dangerous and confusing. Do I need to daisy chain another drive just for the new color corrected media?
My final question is, does Color reduce the over all quality of your source media? I've heard that color correction in FCP actually reduces the quality just a bit because it uses a new codec on the render file or something, does COLOR bypass that? Are you getting a downgrade in quality from your source files?
I'm obviously a bit confused. Someone clue me in here.

Yeah, you are cornfused and quite honestly, you should really indulge in some training/teaching aides and practice before engaging in a project. But, that's up to you.
I hope you've read the release notes and for your first project, I'd advise following those notes to the letter.
Color will render new files and the size of those files is determined by the output codec that you set in your user preferences. If your current drive is almost full, you'll need to get another drive (by the way, rule of thumb for drive capacity is to leave 10% of drives capacity empty) and direct Color to render new files towards that volume.
YOU will not name the new Color media, it'll be done for you in the Render directory on the new volume provided that direct Color to put those files on your new volume. Color will not overwrite anything, I don't understand where you're getting that information.
Umm, where did you hear FCP reduces quality of color correction? When you render your Color timeline, you get a choice of output codecs, including the codec of the source material. I don't know where the idea of "downgrading" quality comes from.
Do yourself a favor and do some testing before you go any where near your finished "film." By the way, your HVX shoots video, not film.
    Good luck.

  • How can I rasterize a spot color file without creating "border" pixels between areas that are adjacent to each other but should not be overlapping?

We use Illustrator to create circuit layouts. For part of our process, we create an image of all of the layers using spot colors to show the printed layers overlapping each other. We then rasterize the file and send the image through a Matlab routine that performs some analysis of the circuits based on the colors of the pixels.
In some cases, I have created images with areas next to each other, but not overlapping. When rasterizing the image, the rasterizing process appears to treat the borders as overlapping and creates a single pixel wide border between the 2 areas when there is none. This is playing havoc with our Matlab routine.
I can manually go in and remove the rasterized border, however on some projects, this is a very lengthy process. Has anyone experienced anything like this, or have any ideas on how to prevent this?

Even I tried with the error report, but there was no error details in that report.
Please help me out to find the reason for that problem. The PDF file is having a spot color.
Please find the RGB and converted Gray image

  • Applescript: color file name in finder

    Hi Community,
I'm working on a huge data management program and i want to be able to tag certain files with incorrectly inputed data so i can easily go back to them later. Rather than moving them all to a certain place, I was wondering if, with applescript, there's a way to color their labels. Hopefully without clicking. Thanks.

It's trivial to set the label of a file:
set theFile to (choose file) -- or however you're identifying your file
    tell application "Finder"
set label index of file theFile to 3
    end tell
where 'label index' is the index to the labels on your machine.
The issue is how to identify which files to change.

  • Color File Naming Conventions

As color creates the color corrected files of my footage, it has changed the name of the file. This would not be a problem, except that each reel creates the exact file names. Although it is in a separate reel folder, shot one in reel one is named the exact same as shot one in reel two. So I have a set of folders that all contain the exact same file names. Is there any way to keep the original file names in the color corrected files (or at least part of the same name)? I have looked for this topic and have found nothing, so I am sure that there is a way around this.

No is the easy answer. At first, I thought this thread would be about illegal characters in the clip names, but...
COLOR renders each clip into its own clip/sub directory as you have found... clip one will be in directory "1" containing a clip named, for example 1_g1.mov -- look familiar? Even though the original "names" appear on the timeline, both in COLOR and once returned to FCP- they're really pointing to these guys.
Kind of a pain in the neck, especially since it is advised policy to cut up a project of appreciable length into "reels" roughly corresponding to 2,000' 35mm mags. But as you have found, each contributing sequence gets its own COLOR project and 'clip one' is 'clip one' in all of them. Basically, this is attributable to Final Touch being designed to be a DI/filmout application, and the sequentiality contributes to easing #####.dpx files through the process.
Doesn't really help the Quicktimers much, does it? You might be able to re-name your rendered media, if you really, really have to, by using .... [html: add reverb and echo here].... Media.... Manager..... [/reverb and echo] ;0) [evil laughter] Oh, come on, if this isn't any fun, don't do it!
Oh, Media Manager may return names from a rebuilt/sequence-merged project in which the clips will be in the form... 1_g1-v, 1_g1-2-v. 1_g1-v-3, and so on, depending on which layer it processes first.... (I think...) ...so 1_g1-2-v is not necessarily the first clip in "Act 2"... but we're hyper-intelligent and can figure it out anyway, right?
