08/09 MBP (unsure, bought used) errors. Rendered UNUSABLE. Help?

Question

First my computer suddenly started opening everything in my browser in separate windows instead of tabs, then everything went capslock and I couldn’t get it to stop. When I minimized, it took almost a whole minute of watching it slowly drop down to the dock. I rebooted it to see if it would help.
It took forever the first time to even get it past the grey apple screen, but then I got to the password screen and it wouldn’t accept my password. I tried it 100 different ways to make sure it was rightly put in, but it didn’t accept any. No matter if I shifted it all to make sure the capslock wasn’t still in affect, etc. So now, I’m stuck with the password screen, it won’t let me restart with the installation disc and hitting ‘c’, and I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?

After restarting whilst pressing 'Command' and 'S', this screen pops up and I can type no further. I had to type this all up in fact, so I hope there's something we can work with!
