0CO_OM_OPA_6 creation time for delta Q in R/3

Hi all,
Once a month a job on R/3 runs to generate the actual costs/billing for CS-orders. These are then picked up by datasource 0CO_OM_OPA_6 for transfer to BW where the month-end reports can be made.
The monthly R/3 job runs on the 4th of each month at 22:00 and takes about 2 hours. Our BW transaction data is loaded at +/- 01:00 every day (3 hours later), so there is one hour to spare. However, the changed data is not transferred to BW on the 5th at 01:00, it only comes in on the 6th.
I'd like to know what happens in that hour between 0:00 and 01:00 which causes the delta queue not to be ready for loading into BW. Does it take that long for records to be put into a delta queue? Is it like the verbucher job in a LIS-datasource (only much slower)? (I figured one hour to be more than enough, but obviously it isn't...)
The customer want to see the results the next day, so we can reschedule the jobs and process chains.
But I hope someone can tell me a bit more on how it works (technically).
Thanks,
Eduard

Hi dear,
look at OSS Note 553561 "BCT-CO-OM: Current data for the CO delta DataSources" and 416265 "BCT-CO delta DataSources: Technical background information" to have all the info you need !
Hope it helps!

  • Can we use both 0FI_AP_3 and 0FI_AP_4 for Delta Loads at the same time.....

    Hi Gurus:
Currently my company uses 0FI_AP_3 for some A/P reporting. It has been heavily customized & uses Delta loading. However, SAP recommends the use of "0FI_AP_4" for A/P data fro delta loads. I was able to Activate 0FI_AP_4 as well & do some Full Loads in Dev/Test boxes. Question is whether I can use both the extractors for "Delta" loads at the same time......? If there are any issue, what is the issue and how ccan I resolve it? Is the use of only one extractor recommended......??
Please let me know as this impacts a lot of my development....! Thanks....
    Best...... ShruMaa
PS:  I had posted this in "BI Extractors" forum but there has been no response......  Hope to get some response.......!  Thanks

    Hi,
I would recommend you to use 0FI_AP_4 rather using both, particularly for many reasons -
    1. DS: 0FI_AP_4  replaces DataSource 0FI_AP_3 and still uses the same extraction structure. For more details refer to the OSS note 410797.
    2. You can run the 0FI_AP_4 independent of any other FI datasources like 0FI_AR_4 and 0FI_GL_4 or even 0FI_GL_14. For more details refer to the OSS note: 551044.
    3. Map the 0FI_AP_4 to DSO: 0FIAP_O03 (or create a Z one as per your requirement).
    4. Load the same to a InfoCube (0FIAP_C03).
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • WHEN WE GO FOR DELTA UPDATE  WHAT  HAPPENS IN R3 at same instant of time

    hi all
when we go for delta update in bw at same time what the process takes place in R3

Delta queue in R/3 T code is rsa7, the data comes to these tables before it is pulled in to BW. Nothing really happens in R/3 when you do a delta extraction. The delta queue keeps getting refreshed with the data for your next delta update.
    Thats my 2 cents

  • How to determine the creation date/time for a file?

The important operating systems maintain both a creation date/time and last modified date/time for files. But in the File class there is only a lastModified() method. How does one determine the creation date/time for a file?

As far as i know, there is no way to know creation time, since it is a OS dependant information.

  • F110S (payment run + DME creation) running for infinite time

    Hi ABAP gurus,
I originally posted this question in ERP finicials but didn't get any response. If somebody has faced any similar issue please share the solution
A batch job schduled for "daily payment run + creation of DME files" using F110S (SAP ECC 6.0) . The batch is running in production for more infinite time.
The job runs in following 2 steps
    1. SAPF110S which processes the payment clears FBL5N.
    2. SAPFPAYM_SCHEDULE.
The second step seems a non-ending process.
The job variant has only 15 customers, only one invoice is to be processed against one account.
However in quality system the same job with more than 10,000 customer account range with more than 10 invoices runs just in few minutes.
Any idea or suggestion why it's taking so long in production? Any missing configuration in production server?
    ==================
It's not performance issue. When we run F110S or F110 in production with individual login id, program runs the way it should and finishes in reasonable time (for example the scenario I described in question finsihes in few seconds).
The problem occurs only when production batch job runs with job scheduler; program seems looping somewhere for infinite time - to be particular it keeps reading the table TPRI_DEF which has just few records (must be reading this table inside a loop).
    Thanks,
    Satyaki.

    Hello,
Since the issue seems still open, (status Not Answered), and since I encountered the same problem, here is the solution. Apparently, a printer must be defined either in OBPM4 (payment variant) or in user personal data (Menu System / User profil / Own data)
In Box 'Spool Control' / Filed 'OutputDevice', enter your default printer.
Once SAP report can determine Printer, program will stop to run endless.

  • Search for creation time

I am wondering if there is a way to search the GroupWise accounts (NOT eDir) for creation time. I can get the information on a user by user basis using "Display Object" but I need to search numerous accounts. I was thinking there may be a GWCheck switch or something in ConsoleOne.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I don't know of a GWCheck switch or something in ConsoleOne that would accomplish this, unfortunately. That's not to say that something like this doesn't exist, I'm just not aware of anything.
I can, however, recommend that you take a look at the utilities available from JRB Software: http://www.jrbsoftware.com/
They might have something that would easily accomplish this task.
Let us know how it goes.
    Cheers,

  • Longer time for Material Availability check while creation of prd order.

    Hi guys,
I am facing a weird problem while creating production orders thru CO01.
I enter the component and plant and I am also using the forward scheduling option.
for some reason, SAP is taking a long time for material availability check when I hit the release button.
Sometimes its taking more than an hour. Its happening with few specific BOM's, and I have checked the master data but I could hardly find a problem in master data.
Can someone suggest me some tips ??
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sashivardhan

    Hi,
Please check the Availability check control maintained for Components it should be 01 or 02. Also check the issue storage location maintained or not. You can maintain issue storage location in BOM in Status/lng text tab in Production Storage Location.
    Hope this will help.

  • Find the Difference in time for creation of two activities for the same SR

    Hi
I need to find the difference in time of cretaion of two different activities for an SR. Is there any function which I can use to get the same
    For e.g.
    SR # |Activity Created Date |Duration
    123 12-nov
    123 13 nov 1 day
    Thanks in advance
    Meena

    There's a TIMESTAMPDIFF function.
An example from the book Oracle CRM On Demand Reporting has the following example...
    TIMESTAMPDIFF( SQL_TSI_MINUTE, Activity."Start Time", Activity."End Time" )
which would return the difference in minutes.
As I type this, I'm thinking you probably know this and your problem is how to get the Activity start time for the next activity into this function. I sorry can't think of any way to do that.

  • Can Spotlight search for file creation time ?

    Hi,
Is it possible to use Spotlight to find files with a specific creation date and creation time ?
    Example:
    creation date: exactly 03/03/2008
creation time: after 10:00 and before 12:00

Hi Kees, not that I'm aware of, and since you can't run Classic and "Find File", I'd get EasyFind, Spotlight won't be reliable...

Near the bottom of the page.
you can at least sort by date/time then to narrow it.

  • Time for context Index Creation

    Hi,
I am creating an context index in table having 10 million rows. But it is still running from 10 hours. Waht may be the expected time for completion
    of creating this index.
    Immediate replies are more helpful
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    the answer is "it depends".
    - what are you indexing? 10M rows with PDF documents or just simple plain text?
    - what is your hardware?
    - how is your index made-up? Is it just a plain index or do you use all kind of features (substring etc)?
    - Which version of Oracle are you using?
In the oracle documentation you can find information about this issue: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/text.112/e24435/aoptim.htm#i1006756

  • Automatic PO creation - only for PRs based on catalog SRM/EBP items

    Dear Experts,
i am facing the following question w.r.t. automatic PO creation:
Is it possible to have automatic PO creation in R/3 only for those purchase requisition items, that are based on shopping cart/EBP/SRM items that are from a third party punch out catalog?
The idea is, that the requisitioner on the SRM EBP side shops in a catalog. Once the the SC is approved and the purchase requisition is created in the R/3 system, automatically a PO should be created based on that PReq. This would save the time for the buyer, who do not need to pay attention to this document, because the purchase from the catalog guarantees the buyer, that the already pre-agreed conditions are getting applied.
But PReqs that are based on Free Text shopping cart EBP items must not be taken into account for the automatic PO creation.
Is there a way to distinguish between the catalog-based and the non-catalog based PReq positions?
    Thank you.

Auto PO transaction ME59N comes with huge selection crieteria. If you can distinguish between catelog vs non catalog requisition then it very easy to set up variant to filter non catalog based requistion. you can also think about ehnacement of polulating text fields like Requisitioner or Requirement tracking number  with unque idetifier  in case of non catalog based PR then you can set variant to filter out those requistions..

  • VPN problem behind ASA5505 -regular translation creation failed for protocol 50

I tried a many thing but i'm stuck.
Could somebody help me what can i do to solve this problem?
    Thanks for all anwsers!

The solution was the following for one IP!
    object network x.x.x.x                      (inside IP)
       host x.x.x.x                                  (inside IP)
nat (inside, outside) static y.y.y.y     (remote IP)

  • Work Order Creation Time

    Hi Guys
I need a help with a problem here
Our maintenance guys work in 3 different shifts. We would like to get a report about the workload in each shift
I was wondering if its possible to get a list of orders with the creation time of each order.
How can I get this info? The work order creation time?
    Thanks and Regards

Transaction IW38 will give you a list based on the the date created you would need to create a varaint with a list of the user ID's that belong in each of the 3 shiftes this would then give a report of the orders created by Shift on any given day.
Alternatively if you wanted to find out the orders on a weekly basis this could be done using the user ID's with a period of time over a week for instance.
    Hope this helps
    Jim

  • PO creation time

    Hi SAP Experts,
    Greetings to all...
I wish to ask a question.
Is there any field that captures the PO Creation time and GR Creation time. I couldnt find any field in the EKKO Table.
I need these fields in one of report for calculations.
    Thanking you in advance.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    FOR GRN
    MKPF-CPUTM
    As for the PO :
Check the transaction code :AUT10 , put the transaction code in as ME21N run report for certain date.
You will get the Time and date for which record is inserted.
You can also use the CDHDR table..
Put the input as given below you get the required data
    Change document object : EINKBELEG
    Obj. value      : PO number
Check the Table : CDPOS :
Which show the Change ID , check the indicator as I ( As inserted )
    Hope it will help you
