Hi to all of you,
I have tried to load text MD by using 0COSTELMNT_TEXT DS.
Unfortunately, no data was loaded although there is text data in R/3 table.
Do you have an idea what is the reason for this?

Symptom
The extraction from a text DataSource no longer returns data, and the extractor checker does not display any data either. However, there are valid texts in the master data table in the source system.

This problem is caused by a program error that only affects certain text DataSources. More specifically, it affects DataSources that still have a reference to an info object due to the upward compatibility to BW 1.2. The DataSources concerned can be identified technically by the fact that in the ROOSOURCE table, the column TYPE = 'TEXT' and the BASOSOURCE column is not initial.
Solution
You need Service API 7.00 Support Package 06 to correct the problem in the affected source system. The attached composite SAP note provides information about which software components contain Service API 7.0, and gives the names of the corresponding Support Packages of these components.
Alternatively, you can also implement the attached advance correction. However, the advance correction is a correction to a template that is used as a template for generating the extraction program. Therefore, also refer to Note 170595 when you are implementing the advance correction.
In the BW system, you only need to implement the correction if the BW system is affected in its role as source system for itself (Myself connection) or for a further BW system.
Note: Service API is an internal component. It is not delivered separately but as part of other software components: PI, CRM, PI_BASIS and others. A composite SAP note is therefore created for each SAPI correction note, and this describes which Support Packages of the software components mentioned above contain the SAPI correction. The composite note is only released on the release date of the corresponding SAPI Support Packages. Various SAPI versions are delivered for Basis Releases 3.1I, 4.0B, 4.6D 6.20 and 6.40. The version for 4.0B is also valid for R/3 Releases 4.6B and 4.6C.

hi guys,
No records found for 0COSTELMNT_TEXT & 0ACCOUNT_TEXT. It show 0 records after extraction and also in rsa3 in r/3 side.
problem is with texts, attributes are loaded for the same.
any ideas ....

0COSTELMNT_TEXT extraction

Hi BW gurus,
0COSTELMNT_TEXT is extracting zero records even if there are valid records in the source table (CSKB). No records were extracted in the RSA3.
This datasource was working fine until 3 months ago. Pls suggest.

Post R/3 plug-in problem

Hi,
Our BW system is currenlty on 2.1C and R/3 on 46C.
We recently upgraded our Plug-in in R/3 from 2002_1_46C to 2004_1_46C but facing some problems.
- The datasources 0ACCOUNT_TEXT , 0CO_AREA and 0COSTELMNT_TEXT are not extracting any data. It is showing '0' records in monitoring stating that there is no data in R/3 (though we have texts maintained in R/3).
Am able to extract the attributes in BW for the above datasources.
Surprisingly, in extractor checker (RSA3) in R/3 , am getting '0' records for above datasources.
Before Plug-in, the data for the above texts datsources was getting extracted properly but post plug-in it has become worse with no data.
I have already tried activating these datasources from RSA5 and generating it again in RSA6, but it didn't help.
Your advice will be a great help to me.

Up to plug-in 2002.1, the DataSources 0COSTELMNT_ATTR, 0COSTELMNT_TEXT, 0COSTCENTER_ATTR and 0COSTCENTER_TEXT did not always permit a selection using the following fields:
Valid from and
Valid to.
Reason and Prerequisites
Missing functions in the plug-in deliveries up to and including plug-in 2002.1.
Solution
1. The functions have been extended in the standard version as of plug-in 2002.2. Selection options are delivered for the DataSources via the fields in the standard version.
a) To activate the settings, the DataSource definitions must be transferred again from the content using transaction RSA5 after plug-in 2002.2 has been implemented.
b) The changed DataSource definitions must then be replicated in BW.
2. Up to plug-in 2002.1, the SELECTION field can be set permanentlyto 'X' for the entries for the fields DATEFROM and DATETO for the respective DataSources.

Hello Experts,
Can anybody tell me the table of origin for these Master Data Sources

3)0GL_ACCOUNT_ATTR

5)0PROFIT_CTR_ATTR
6)0CUST_COMPC_ATTR

I was able to find most of the other datasources,but these seven have eluded me.Would also be great if someone can also post a list of some common data sources along with their table of origin.Thank you for your time.

Texts are not been extracted!

Hi all;
Im trying to extract data text from the datasource 0COSTELMNT_TEXT but I got 0 values in RSA3.
When I see the Cost Element Master Data, the descriptions are filled.
Can anyone help me?

There is not user exit in the datasource assign to texts or attributes.
The datasource assign to attributes works fine.
Pankesh answer solves the problem. There is some problem with the function module. But I had created a datasource assign to the CSKU table and the data are there.

Regarding Info packages

Hi ALl
Do v hv to create 3 infopackages( Full,init,delta) for each and every Datasource. For Ex I hv 0COSTCENTER_ATTR & 0COSTCENTER_TEXT,so is it mandatory to create 3infopackages for each of these data source?
Also, I hv 0COSTELMNT_ATTR & 0COSTELMNT_TEXT, for these DSs, I created 3 info packages(Full init delta) for Text Data source respectively, but I was just able to create 1infopackage(Full) for Attribute DS, Is it like some DSs support Full,init,delta,,,and some of them just support Full?? Plz advice

It is not mandatory to create 3 info packages for each and every data source..... But it is good to maintain 3 IPs instead of 1... We can identify the IPs easily, which ip is for what load...
Well for ur second question... U r rite if the DS wont support the delta then u are able to create only 1 IP....

Load Master Data Text for 0COSTELMNT

Hello,
I would like to load text for master Data Cost Element (infosource 0COSTELMNT). The loading is Ok but, when I execute the infopackage the next time, I have the status yellow and the message "The data request was a full update. In this case, the corresponding table in the source system does not contain any data. System response
Info IDoc received with status 8.".
It's normal that there are no news datas to upload but the problem is that the process remains not yet completed.
The parameters of the scheduler are :
- selection : none and "Use conversion routine"
- Processing : PSA and then in the InfoObject
- Update : Full update and Fixed Time Interval (start date : today, end date : 31.12.2006)
- Schedule : Start Data Load Immediately
The option Treatment of Warning is set to green.

On the R/3 system, when I launch RSA3 and Extraction for the DataSource 0COSTELMNT_TEXT, the result is 0 enreg too (no selection in the screen).

Error installing Datasource

Hi, i'm trying to install text datasource for 0COSTELMNT (0COSTELMNT_TEXT) throw RSA5, but when i push "transfer datasource", it gaves me the error:
1.2 Metadata essential for extraction is missing for 0COSTELMNT
i'm using SAP R3 3.1h, and have no problems with other datasources, any ideas?
