0CUST_SALES

Hi Gurus.
I have a problem, I have a herarchy in R/3 in VDH2N, this herarchy is attached to 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER, (with infosource 0CUST_SALES) but the problem here is that all my cubes used 0CUSTOMER as reference characteristic, and i don't know how to assign this herarchy of 0CUST_SALES to my infoobject 0CUSTOMER.

There is a fundamental difference between 0CUSTOMER and 0CUST_SALES, so they will of course not share a referential relationship. Once an object has been created as a reference (like 0SOLD_TO from 0CUSTOMER), it is not possible to 'change' the reference. You can however create new InfoObjects that reference 0CUST_SALES, but not sure if this would suit the business process...
As I mentioned earlier, you may need to recreate this hierarchy for 0CUSTOMER.

I need to display just cutomer number (or text ) in query results. But since 0CUST_SALES is compuonded to Dist Channel/Sales ORG etc, it displays all that info also. How does I make it to just display customer number, I do not see that feature in query results

To do this when you pull in 0CUST_SALES in the query the compounded Dist Channel/Sales ORG object will also be pulled into the query automatically.
After this, Right click on Dist Channel/Sales ORG --> Properties --> Display --> Select NO DISPLAY.
This will display just the 0CUST_SALES and the compounding characteristics will not be displayed.

Hi we have a a hierarchy in our R/3 system which loads to 0CUST_SALES in our BW system. I have seen a post on here that It is possible to assign the hierarchy of 0CUST_SALES to 0CUSTOMER?
can some one tell me how please.

If you enter to see the infoobject 0CUST_SALES can see that the principal infoobject is referenced is 0Customer and in addition the 0CUST_SALES infoobject dont stores data is only a virtual view of the real object 0customer...the hierarchies of 0cust_sales really is part of 0CUSTOMER...

Which tcode will allow me to see 0cust_sales hierachy on R3 as on BW?

Facing problem in loading masterdata from PSA for 0cust_sales

Hi,
I am facing problem while loading Masterdata for 0cust_sales in PSA. data is coming from KNVV table but there is no duplicate record in the KNVV Table but while loading data to SAP BI, Its showing error message in PSA for few customers - duplicate records being created.
Kindly please help me with this issue

Switch on Indicator: Handling Duplicate Data Records
Use
If this indicator is set, duplicate data records (that is, records with the same key) are handled during an update in the order in which they occur in a data package.
For time-independent attributes of a characteristic, the last data record with the corresponding key within a data package defines the valid attribute value for the update for a given data record key.
For time-dependent attributes, the validity ranges of the data record values are calculated according to their order (see example).
If the indicator is not set and error handling is deactivated, the request terminates once data records with the same key are detected. If error handling is activated, data records that have the same key are written to the error stack of the DTP.
Note:
If during your data quality measures you want to make sure that the data packages delivered by the DTP are not modified by the master data update, you must not set this indicator.

Price group on 0cust_sales

hello,
i have added 0cust_sales in multicube 0SD_MC01 in order to be able to use navigational attribute 0PRICE_GRP (on 0cust_sales).
I do have values in 0cust_sales in the MC, but the 0PRICE_GRP is left empty even though there exist price group for certain entries that match the compounding objects of 0cust_sales.
What could I have forgotten? Off course the 0price_group is set to NAV in both MC and the ODS hich is the source provider of the MC.
What can I do in order to be able to see the price group in the MC?

Assuming that you have flagged 0price_group as navigational in both the ODs and MC, all you need to do is put the char in the query to display the values. Why are you even asking this? Or am I missing something in the question?

Hierarchy on 0CUST_SALES is not activating.

Hi All,
I am trying to load flat file hierachy into 0CUST_SALES infoobject.Hierachy uploading correctly but its not activating.
I tried it manuvally still its not activating and running long time(More than 4 hours) .So i canceld the activation.
I also tried by creating hierachy manuvally with one node and activated manuvally . still i am seeing the same issue.
its not actiavting and activation process running long time . So i can canceld the job.
We are in BI 7. SP 20.
i tried to activate hierarchy in other infoobjects its working fine. I do not understand what could be the issue with 0cust_sales,.
please let me know what could be the issue?

Hi Sirisha,
If the 0CUST_SALES master data is used in aggregates, then the attribute change run and save hierarchy will take more time.
You can check the details of the ACR job in workbench. In RSA1 tocde, In menu select tools -> Apply Heirarchy / Attribute change and click on monitor tab.
If the Aggregates are inconsistent then need to clear and refill the aggregates, then the Heirarchy / Attribute change run will work fine.
Or run the program RSDDS_CHANGERUN_MONITOR in SE38 to see the details

Error in Change Run for 0cust_sales

In master data load process chain for 0cust_sales it fails at change run step.
with ABAP error short text "Exception condition "TREX_ACCESS_ERROR" raised."
and error analysis
" A RAISE statement in the program "CL_RSDDTREX_TABLSERVICE=======CP" raised the
exception
condition "TREX_ACCESS_ERROR".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
program, processing was terminated.
Short description of exception condition:
For detailed documentation of the exception condition, use
Transaction SE37 (Function Library). You can take the called
function module from the display of active calls."
Please help me understand and resolv issue here

I don't find any option to choose PSA.
I have no where found an option to handle the duplicate records.
And also as per my understanding, one of the possible ways to resolve this issue is to contact the person who has uploaded the hierarchy data into R/3 system. But, I am left with no clue to find out who is the user (last changed by) who has uploaded this. Please suggest me on this.

0CUST_SALES HIERARCHY ISSUE

I am with a retail client and they currently maintain customer hierrachy in ECC (KNVH table). We can extract this into 0CUST_SALES in BI using 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER extractor.
When we load transaction data we assign sold to party to 0CUST_SALES (compounded with sales org, distribution channel & divison) and also to 0CUSTOMER infoobjects.
The users want to report independent of time (everything as on today). That means even if a customer changes from one node to another node, report the historical data also in the node the customer is as of today. Our stand is we cannot use 0CUST_SALES HIERARCHY because it has distribution channel, sales org & division compounded with it and we need a hierarchy on 0CUSTOMER.
Please let me know if we have an alternative approach.
Would be generous with points for the solution provider.

Creating a Process chain for hierarchy under 0Cust_Sales: Attrib? Text? too

Hi,
I have a standard hierarchy under 0Cust_Sales which I need to create a process chain for so that this hierarchy will be updated from R3 on a daily basis.
What is normal to do in this case:
Create a
1. Create a process chain to load the Hierarchy under this 0Cust_Sales?
Or,
2. Create a process chain to load the Hierarchy and the Attrib?
Or,
3. Create a process chain to load the Hierarchy, the Attrib and Text?
What is the pros and cons of each choice?

Sorry for the confusion...yes I mean attributes by master data.
Do you load with master data for 0cust_Sales separately, before loading the Attrib, Text and Hierarchy (in order)?
attribute text and hieracrhy are the master data for 0cust_sales.
You load attributes first and then text and then hierarchy.This is not a rule but for the better control and understanding.
But keep a seperate chain for each along with the same grouping like all the attributes load together in same chain and text load together and hierarchy load together in other chains.
Since attributes change frequently and you need to reload it everyday therefore keep it separate
Hierachy may give you tough time with failures in process chains and will not change frequently so keep it separately in another chain.
You need to use an attribte change run (change run) after any new master data is loaded.
this is done to reallign the new SID'S created for the new master data object with that of cubes where they are used and affect these changes in the aggregates which are built on them.
So better put it after the three chains have run or atleast after the master data chain has finished.

we are using standard function for transfering data from R/3 to BIW
For Fetching classification data of customer , we created one customised function module and through user exit , we are using that functionmodule.
But we are facing Peforamance issues with this extractor 0CUST_SALES_ATTR.
can some one guide me how to improve performanc of this extractor or can some one forward me documents regarding performnce issues related to extractor.

On R/3 side this information is stored in table KNVK. Is there any business content scenario to do so?

Unfortunately, that is not really my expertise. I know that the creation of the hierarchies in SD require some customization to configure the setup of nodes in the hierarchy. But once it is configured, use the VDH1N transaction to maintain the hierarchy. Once it is done then you can extract it into BW using the extractor you mentioned.

Excel Download of a Web SAP BW Report asks userid and password.please help

Dear BW folks,
Issue: When I run a specific SAP BW Report from Web and download the same into excel & csv.
When I open the excel file downloaded, it asks me user name and password to enter. csv file downloaded doesn't ask.
The report has 0cust_sales hierarchy and SBU hierarchy.
Is there any thing to do with these hierarchies that the excel download is asking user name and password?
Please help me out!!!!! This report needs to be downloaded into excel sent to my manager.....
