Copa data source (urgent urgent)

M newly jioned in BI. in reports some fields are showing blanks. i cheked in BI side every thing ok. i cheked the in the source system in RSA3 data for that data source(copa data source) ter also same fields are missing.this is COPA extraction. i think main problem is DATA SOURCE is it corrcte ?. i need to check some wer else.plz m in confuse plz advise me.

Usually, if the data is missing in COPA, then the next source will be veryfying SD data.
Say some of the condition types were created in SD module but those were not updated/mapped/configured in COPA, so obviously those values/fields will be missing in COPA and BI.

Data Source Issue - Plz help

We are using a cluster environment for our E2E testing. We hav OSB Server and SOA Server. But the data source named mds-owsm, soaLocalXt datasource keeps on suspending on and off showing unpredictable behaviour. Because of this our server gets shut down automatically which was badly affecting our testing. Kindly help us resolving this issue.
When we track our osb managed server log, we see the following error:

Because of this our server gets shut down automatically No. Just because connection pool got suspended, server should not go down. There is any other issue which you did not notice. For Data Source to function properly, make sure that intial and maximum connections limit has been set appropriately (preferably both should be equal) and make sure that database is up and running always and has that many connections open. Check with the DBA for DB connection limit settings.
Raise a SR with support if you are not able to figure out the exact issue.

About creating data source(urgent)

I am abap developer. i don't know much about crm.
our requirement is :
i need to create one infoset in sap r/3.
we want to use that infoset in crm server to create data source.
we use transaction code : CRMD_MKTDS
We specify these values.
Origin Type
RFC Destination
InfoSet
Description
businee pastner
But we are not getting any infoset from r/3 server.
we are getting only crm infoset.
I check RFC Destination. Its working fine.
It gives me error : InfoSet ztest either does not exist or has not yet been generated

Transport Enhanced Data source - Urgent - Please help

Hi,
I have enhanced a standard data source by adding few columns and implementing BADI, how can i transport this enhanced data source/ extractor to another server. currently when i see in SE10 i could see only the append structure name, when i released the transport the enhanced extract structure is not there instead the standard structure only i there, could you please tell how can i transport.

Hi,
First try to see the enhanced fields are available or not in original system by double clicking on the above datasource, if fields are available try to uncheck Filed option.
Once enhacement is done for the particular business content extractor, the enhanced fileds should show at the end of the extract structure using Append option.
if it is not showing means, fileds are not enhanced for that extract structure..
for that go to SE11-> give your exctract structure->in top most click on Append structure-> then give you enhanced structure name->activate..

*** Transporting Generated Export Data Source *** urgent issue

I have generated export data source from info object Company Code,
And trying to transport the Export data source, i.e. 8Company_code to QA system.
Its showing the log that, imported sucessfully, but, i can't see the object in QA.
Iam currently working on BW 3.5 system.

Ticked the Data sources >> changed the Package from $TMP to ZXXX >> Generated Transport request >> Released it >> Transported it.

What is the purpose of the function 'Delete Data and Meta Data in a Queue' in RSA7? What exactly is deleted?
Answer:
You should act with extreme caution when you use the delete function in the delta queue. It is comparable to deleting an InitDelta in the BW System and should preferably be executed there. Not only do you delete all data of this DataSource for the affected BW System, but you also lose all the information concerning the delta initialization. Then you can only request new deltas after another delta initialization.
When you delete the data, this confirms the LUWs kept in the qRFC queue for the corresponding target system. Physical deletion only takes place in the qRFC outbound queue if there are no more references to the LUWs.
The delete function is intended for example, for cases where the BW System, from which the delta initialization was originally executed, no longer exists or can no longer be accessed.

Urgent: Add field in generic data source

Hi,
Could anyone please help me out in resolving the issue to add field from different table in generic datasource.
How can I add it in R/3 data source when a function module was created in ABAP to generate fields from PLPO table?
Whatz the changes has to be done at BW side to map the added field?
Requirement
1) Need one more field in the extractor. Field name is PLAS-LOEKZ. Initially client wanted me to add PLPO-LOEKZ which I added, now he needs the same fields from both the table (PLAS and PLPO).
2)The name of the extractor/structure is ZBW_ROUTINGS_OPERATION
3)Now, we need to add this field (LOEKZ from PLAS) in the function module as well. FM name is: Z_BW_ROUTE_OPERATION_EXTRACTOR. This will be in a SELECT query. We need to add this field in the SELECT statement.
Testing will be done in following steps
1) Go to Transaction RSA3.
2) Enter the data source Z_BW_OPERATION_ATTR(not sure about the name though, but it should end with OPERATION_ATTR)
3) Enter the following details:
EXTTY I
PLNNR 50000032
PLNTY N
4) Now execute (F8) the transaction.
5) Click on Display List
6) In the output, we should be able to see these 2 columns(PLAS-LOEKZ) and (PLPO-LOEKZ)
Please send your valuable suggestions to resolve the issue ASAP as its damn urgent.

Here is an overview of the solution -
Use T.Code SE11> ZBW_ROUTINGS_OPERATION. Add your new field (PLAS-LOEKZ) to this table, check, save, activate. Edit your function module, SE37> Z_BW_ROUTE_OPERATION_EXTRACTOR and add your code to look up the correct value of this field LOEKZ from the table PLAS, check, save, activate. (Note that SAP provides a sample function module you can use as a template and customize for your requirements. This sample function module is RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE.)
Your Generic DataSource Z_BW_OPERATION_ATTR is already created, you dont have to change any settings here. Just regenerate it in RSO2. Now test the extraction for the DataSource in RSA3.

Generic Data Source Creation (Very Urgent)

Hi Friends,
I am getting errors while i am creating Generic Data source using Table "ECMCT" .This table contains all fields which is required for my Data Source.
---> I gave ECMCT table in "Extraction from DB view " but when i click save its showing error message "INVALID EXTRACT STRUCTURE TEMPLATE ECMCT OF DATASOURCE ZFI_ECMCT(is name of my data source)".
> I created Function Module using this Table.
In Function Module "Tables tab"
i gave "ITAB LIKE ECMCT".
In "Source Code tab"
i gave "SELECT * FROM ECMCT INTO TABLE ITAB".
In RSO2 "Extraction Using Function Module"
i gave FM name and Extract Structure name as ECMCT. After clicking save its showing ERRORS:
1) ZFI_ECMCT(is my data source name) : Tables parameter E_T_DATA for Extractor ZFI_CONSOLIDATION(is my Function module)
2) Units field CURR1 for feild HSLVT of datasource ZFI_ECMCT is hidden.
3) ......................................HSL01.....................................................
4)........................................HSL02...................................................
;etc.
Could u anybody suggest me where i am doing wrong. This is very very urgent for me.

Hi,
For " Extraction Using Table" the system does not create an extract structure automatically if the Amount field (type CURR) and currency key field (type CUKY ) are in different tables . Hence u create a View of the data table and the reference table (Say PA0002 and T001) wherein, include all the fields from PA0002 and just the referenced fields from T001 so that all the fields come under the view.
But if the above solution is not possible say for ex. if the key fields don't match , then u should go for function modules.

Curency fields in data source hidden error :Urgent .

I am extracting data from CRM using a function module.I have created a structure in CRM which I am using for populating with RSAX_BI_GET_DATA* .Now in the structure there are some fields with currency data type.So when in RSO2 I am creating data source it's giving error Currency fields are hidden.So I am not able to create the DS only.Please somebody cxan help.It's urgent.Please suggest ways in detail what needs to be done .

Need urgent help to generate SPL Data Sources for Line Items

Hi All,
I am trying to extract the Special Purpose Ledger Data from R/3 into BW. To do this, I am following the steps to generate the Data Sources for Totals table and Lien Items Table.
Using Transaction BW01 and BW03 on the R/3 side, I am able to generate the Totals Record-DataSource successfully.
But I am not able to generate the Line Items-DataSource. I am using the same procedure.
Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction. Are there any other settings I need to make to generate the Line Items-DataSource. Interestingly, I am able to generate the Line Items-DataSource for some other old ledgers in the System like ZZ and ZX. But I need the Line Items-DataSource from a ledger called ZP for which I am having trouble.
I would greatly appreciate if someone can get back to me ASAP.

During BW01, The Generate extract structure is fine for both Total and Line Item Table.The issue is when we run tcode bw03 where you assign the datasource to a ledger.
Here, I can assign only for the Total Records data source and NOT for the Line Items-DataSource.
I hope I could explain the issue. Looking forward for some advice.

Urgent: Transport of Flat File Data Source

While transporting flat file data source is it required to transport first in a separate request or everything can go in 1 request.

Hi,
In this case it can go in one request as no replication is needed. But for other datasources, you need to send the datasources first in a separate request and then replicate the datasource in BW before you send the BW changes.

SQL server as data source for OBI EE : Urgent

hi everyone,i have been using OBI EE for the past 2 months.I have been using Oracle 10g database as a data source for OBI EE and it worked just fine and now im trying to use SQL server 2005 as my data source.
My ODBC was succesful and i can import from that database but i get following errors when i try to update row count.
There was an error while updating row count for "test"."AdventureWorks"."HumanResources"."Departme nt":

With Sql Server I have always problems with security
Check this first and then continue..
1.your odbc connection
2.in the administrator--> connection pool you have assign the appropriate values for sql -server(check all the options)
and check the option -->fully qualified table name
