0FIGL_V11 -- Name of Cube ( Virtual ) 0FIGL_V11.

Dear All
This is virtual cube whcih is reading data directly through R/3 System when executing the query.
I have created Analysis Authorization and role as we we created many other roles and analysis authorization.
Whenever, the user executing the query, its giving error that "NO DATA FOUND".
I used Analysis Tools in RSECADMIN to "Execute as user with Restricted authorizsation", the query work and display the required data.

Hi Anwer,
I am not sure if the issue still persists. However, from the error, I infer that the authorization to S_RS_DTP is missing. Revisit the PFCG roles assigned to the user, and ensure that S_RS_DTP is assigned along with the S_RS_COMP, and COMP1.
Also, in the analysis authorization, the 0TCAIPROV should have the virual providers, with 0TCACTVT 02, and 03.
This should get all the data for the user. Check and revert if you have any further questions.

R = Remote cube based on DTP or datasource in R/3
thats why they have that R/3 sysmbol
only this cube will have the option of "ACTIVATE DIRECT ACCESS"
V = Virtual Cube based on API
thats why they have that symbol 3rd.

Hi,
It is not possible to change the technical name of the InfoCube once the InfoCube is activated.before activating you can change and save to activate.
even when you make a copy of it and change the old InfoCube..the relevant Objects with the InfoCube will be highly impacted..so any way you have to maintain all the upwards and downwards objects in the entire dataflow for that InfoCube...So this is also not advisable...
rather...
Creating an entirely New InfoCube with the desired Technical Name might be feasible solution.

0BWTC_C08 cube, virtual provider Query Problem

Has anyone worked on 0BWTC_C08 cube. it is statistics virtual provider. i have installed it in BW and ran a query on it without any selections, 0TCTIFCUBE in rows and frequency in columns it is returning null data for all the cubes.

Custom Domain name for Azure virtual machine using azure websites

Hie, I am using a cloud service (e.g cloud1) and it has a hosted VM in it (Windows server 2012). It is having a URL cloud1.cloudapp.net. So I want to use the domain name (e.g azuresite1.azurewebsites.net)created from azure.
So how do I add the Cname record and everything in this setup .
I already tried to use
this but that didn't work
What additional steps are required to add custom domain name to an azure virtual machine and, the custom domain name is also an azure website

If you want to use azuresite1.zurewebsites.net then i think, you have to create a azurewebsite. If you have a custom domain then following should work.
You have findout the IP that is attached to the VM.
Point your domain name to that IP (using domain dashboard)
Now your domain points to whatever the site hosted on the VM (port 80)
If you have more sites then, you have specify HostName for the site which you want to use with domain name.

Not able to see model name in Cube Builder

Hello,
I am working on SSM 10.1, I have successfully Created Model connection CBDEFAULT and Created Link id SSM_CB_EA.
When I open cube builder link, I am not able to see any Model.
When I try to created a new model to in cube builder, it is not able to SAVE and no option is appearing in Fiscal Year Start Tab. While saving it neither give any error nor create any model.
Can any body help me out to solve this issue. It is very urgent.

Please check if the Clear DM package is linked with the Process chain for Clearing the Data.
We usually get the error you are mentioning in Copy Function when we have same source and Destination members.

Issue with reports on 0FIGL_V10,0FIGL_V11-0GLACCEXT doesn't display in BEX

We are implementing new GL functionality and as a part of it , we copied the standard cube 0FIGL_C10 to ZFIGL_C10 and virtual cubes 0FIGL_V10,0FIGL_V11 to ZFIGL_V0, ZFIGL_V11.
We also copied all the standard reports to our custom created cubes.
Standard reports on the above virtual cubes have characteristic called Financial Statement Item(0GLACCEXT).After copying the standard reports on to our custom created virtual cubes, we thought we do not need Financial Statement Item(0GLACCEXT) in the reports and we removed the same.
Now, we realized the need of Financial Statement Item(0GLACCEXT) in our reports but we are not getting the same in the query designer eventhough the same is available in the Virtual Cubes under Account dimension.
We want this characteristic in the report but unable to get the same in Query Designer. Does someone face this problem and resolved ? Please need inputs to resolve the same.

Yes, I can copy the query with a new technical name but I am interested in why a characteristic which is available in Cube is not getting displayed in the Query designer ?
Are there any other settings or steps , I m missing to make it available in the report ?

Can not find data in virtual cube

I can not find data in virtual cube with services function module (copying Z_RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC10 from RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC10).The standard cube is maintained with data.
Can anybody tell me what could be the reasons the data is coming through Virtua cube.

Hi,
i_basic_infoprov is the name of the provider where the data is selected from. This must be a basic provider that contains data. What I meant was, create a copy of fm RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC,1 maybe as Z_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC1, and enter the name of this fm in the properties of your virtual cube. For that fm it might also be a good idea to enter a default value for i_infoprov. And this should be the name of your virtual cube.

Report on Virtual cube is not working.

I created a report on virtual cube, Virtual cube is based on Function module which will pick data from Multiprovider, In the FM mention the import parameter name as " Muli Provider" Name.
Multiprovider built on SPO object , On SPO object BIA is created, If can de activate the BIA on SPO then the report built on virtual cube is working in the portal. If I can activate the BIA the report is not working in the portal.
The report is working fine in RSRT and Analyzer either BIA is active and deactive.

The multi cube you created must be comprising of Info cubes, DSO and Info objects. Now this error which you are getting is it for
- a specific characteristics or
- any characterisitcs that is entered fourth in the series of filter selections or
- the fourth value in a specific characteristics
Is the characteristics and the value which you use in filter present in all the underlying objects included in the multi cube ? You can check it in each of the objects associated in the multi cube, independently. This will give you an idea as to whether the error reported by the system is genuine or not.

Cube/query name is not available in trx MDXTEST

Hi All
I was trying to use a custom BI query on top of infocube 0CP_SLSC6 as a source for mdx queries. I have set the property Allow External Access To This Query in BEx for the custom BI query. But in trx mdxtest I cant see the cube name in CATALOG list or the query name in CUBE list; However if I select infoprovider for CATALOG then I can see the cube name in CUBE list. Any clue how to sort this out. Thanks in advance

I just had the same problem ... this is how I did it:
I don't think you need to enable the query for OLE DB access to use MDXTEST - MDXTEST is just an MDX Query writer helper tool.
To text your query/report you can just use direct entry and paste in the technical name of the query or other object; using Shift+F4 or click on the edit button (the one with the notepad and pencil)... then paste the name.
You can get the technical name of your query/report from the end of the execute string from Favourites e.g.
<prt_protcl>://<prt_server>/<bi_launcher>?QUERY=REP_20100610164528
So from your Favourites, pretend you are going to change your query/report and copy the technical name REP_xxxxx or whatever and paste it into MDXTEST...
Then choose your syntax template and add your rows and columns etc.
Unfortunately our MDXTEST doesn't seem to be working! as I get the error message "during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'"
Which is covered elsewhere ... so I will contact our Admin

DNS host name under virtual interface??

Can anyone tell me what is the purpose of DNS hostname under the virtual interface? Is it a required parameter for web-authentication / how does it affect the web authentication?

The host name under the virtual interface is for if/when you put a third party certificate in the WLC. When you register for the cert, the name you put under the virtual interface is what you use for the cert.

Virtual infoobjects: technical name in source and target systems

Hello Everybody,
actually I got a problem: I´ve created a virtual characteristic which is working fine on development system.
However after transporting to target system the BADI implementation containing the virtual infoobject dumps:
assign component 'Z____723' of structure cs_data to .
Is there any other way to avoid using these technical names 'Z____723' and use e.g. 0customer instead?
I would have expected, that the technical name for the virtual characteristic in my case 'Z____723' for 0customer will be the same in dev as in prod.

In my case I need to copy a Production Client (say 900) to a Test Client on a test machine (say client 700), what I came to know was that this is basically a client copy, but since the size of data involved is to the tune of 500GB +, it is System Copy.
Client Copy and System Copy are two different method to transfer the data and process are toatally different.

No. It will be client copy which is not possible as your Source/Target system are on different Support Pack level.
Or if I copy the client 900 to the existing client 700, is this a System Refresh ???
No. It will again a Client copy. You have confused between System Copy and Client Copy. I would suggest to to read first what is the difference between these two and the process to do that.

Creating unique names for virtual copies

I utilze three different sets of images for most jobs: the raws, the thumbnails I upload for client review and the jpgs I send out for prints. I like to match the filenames so there is no confusion. Unfortunately my gallery (smugmug pro) also assigns a unique # to each upload. When I use virtual copies to ceate alternate versions of certain images they are named copy 1 or copy 2 in LR and the preceding # is dropped from the sequence, so when I upload the thumbnails, the gallery #s no longer match the filename # below. I always instruct my clients to ordeer selections from the filename but enough of my retail clients have become confused that it is becoming irritating. So I was wondering if there is a way to overide the LR presets and assign individual names to the virtual raws and the jpgs?

OK You are confusing the file name with the SmugMug URL. When you publish to SmugMug you are exporting a new jpeg so your virtual copy is irrelevant unless you have a method of linking it with what your client is viewing. That probably means not changing the original camera file except for the number of different edits you make; which Lightroom does automatically.
