0FISCPER & 2LIS_11/12/13* Infosources for 0SD_C03

Dear Experts. I want to report on a Sales Overview cube based on 0SD_C03 and using 2LIS_11/12/13 infosources. The report is going to be filtered by or analysed by 0FISCPER. But to my surprise, I find that none of these infosources have 0FISCPER. That means I am extracting data from R/3 without 0FISCPER information.( Even 2LIS_11/12/13 datasources in R/3 don't have 0FISCPER). I am only seeing 0FISCVARNT.
Any suggestions on how I should go about bringing in the missing 0FISCPER value will be greatly appreciated.

Janet,
Fiscal period depends on what date you want to use. You can use create date, document date, change date or any other date to convert to Fiscal Period. This is the flexibility you have.
You can create a simple formula transformation like the following --
DATE_FISCPER( "Your Date", Fiscal Year Variant )

Quick question
Which infosources are we supposed to use for infocube 0SD_C03? According to the online documentation we are supposed to use the following:
2LIS_01_S260
2LIS_01_S261
2LIS_01_S262
2LIS_01_S263
But on other threads I see that the following infosources
2LIS_11_VAHDR
2LIS_11_V_ITM
2LIS_11_VAITM
are the ones to use. The thing is these 3 infosources look like they won't provide me with all the data necessary for 0SD_C03.
My question is, which infosources do I use for this cube.

Hi William,
If u are installing 0SD_C03 from business content choose the necessary objects and proceed.
As per the BI 7.x flow, u would not need any infosource. Infosource is just a structure of the desired infoobjects into which the data fetched by your extractor is pushed into.
So u may proceed with the following options:
- In case u r installing from business content, check which infosource object is selected by default when u choose necessary objects only. U can always enhance/customise ur infosource by adding relevant infoobjects as per your requirement.
- You may choose to skip the infosource and map the datasource fields to the corresponding infoobjects present in the infoprovider above the datasource in the data flow.

2 infosource for one datasource

hi guyz ,
i knw tat we cant have 2 infosource for one datasource but my scenario is to create a custom infosource which connects to 4 datasources. these 4 datasources are part of Business contents and is already connected with relevant BusinessContent infosource and used in the system .
now how can i use the same datasources connected to a custom infosource without changing the existing work flow. help me ....

So u mean in 3.5, i can connect the datasources to a custom infosource only by deleting the source system assignment with other Business content infosources(as its already used in my system).

yes, as in 7.0, the datasource is not directly connected to the infosource rather to the PSA. You have the data staged in BI, so you can disturb it to as many dataproviders as you like. With this functionality available, infosource is no more mandatory in 7.0
how BW consultants develop their report when they face this problem.
I dont see any problem or any issue. As of 7.0 you can connect them, if it was in 3.x, I would do exprt datasource.

Problem with infosource for 0customer

Hello Experts
I am workign in 3.5 Bw system. We have a 0customer master data object and values are being populated from ECC system.
I am not able to look at infosource and whenever i try to expand 0customer in RSA 1 it gives me ABAP dump which i dont understand.
Moreover i have check 0customer using RSRV and there is no problem with infoobjet.

Error while activating the Master Data InfoSource for attributes

Im trying to load the attributes for master data characteristics .
I created the InfoSource and when im trying to activate it .
Then it gives the following error like below

Procedure
If the problem occurred during the data load or transport, activate the transfer rule.

So please tell the what is the error and how to resolve this issue.
And pls give the error 'RSAR 245' message from SAP note system.

a) 'Obsolete' communication structure:
            Due to an optimization algorithm, pressing the 'Generating button' does not have any affect on the communication structure. Therefore, use the following workaround:
Select 'Communication structure' -> 'Change'.
Add any InfoObject (for example, '0MATERIAL') to the communication structure -> 'ENTER'.
Communication structure ---> 'Save'
Selet the InfoObject you inserted and delete it.
Communication structure ---> 'Save'
Communication structure -> 'Generate'.
a) Message: <table name> is already declared. Check whether the local part of your routines contains TABLE statements. TABLE statements always have global validity and should therefore be in the global part of the routine.
b) If the error occurs when data is being loaded, the transfer rule should be generated using RSA1.
In many cases, generating transfer rules using RSA1 results in a detailed error message.
2. Error code:
           Program to be generated is locked by parallel process.
This error can sporadically occur if parallel processes simultaneously try to generate the same program.
Unfortunately, you cannot completely prevent the error from occurring since these types of lock situations can still crop up during data loading in parallel processes. We are currently working on improving system stability relating to lock situations during the load task.
Reloading usually works without any problems.

Currency conversion error in Update rules for 0SD_C03

Hi All
I have freshly installed Sales Overview cube 0SD_C03 from BI Content(3.x version) and when extracting data from datasource "2LIS_13_VDITM" there is an error "Error: Conversion foreign curr. -> local curr.: 0090000000 20080516 M -> SGD".
Till PSA data is loading fine, there is error while loading from PSA to cube(ie. in Update Rule).
Checked in the PSA for the errored records, all the records which have 0(zero) as amount are green and the rest of them are errored with the above message.
When checked in the manage cube there are added records but the request is red.
Please let me know if some one as the clue.

Hi
You will find the transfer global settings for the source system where you are extracting the data.
Select the source sytem, right click,go to transfer gloabal settings, (select the currencies in this)
Then Reload the data into the cube,
After, Reloading the data into the cube replicate the master data, and activate the mappings,and load the data.
I think, this will work....

Update Rules for 0SD_C03

There are 6 KF in 0SD_C03 infocube which comes from update rules with routines e.g. "Subtotal 1 from Pricing Procedure in Statistics Currency". I cannot understand what the routine brings. anyone have an idea?

Is the question what are the subttoal 1-6 or what does the routine do?
Sub totals 1-6 are user defined fields in the SD pricing block - if the SD consultants haven't already used them for their purposes it is a good idea to use them to denote surcharges etc that you want in BW (without having to use the condition extractors or user exits to get the sales order breakdown)
What does the routine do?
Exchange rate conversion then multiple by -1 if it is a credit note (or similar)

Hi Pushpa,
Although in my system its not includede to any of the object. Following is a way to find out related objects.
Goto RSA1 -> Business Content -> Select Grouping Option "In data flow before and after" and drag the info object to right hand side . After this system should display the list of objects in which this KF is used.

Two infosources for the same datasource.

I have a doubt and i need some help with it.
I have a datasource and two infosources conected with that datasource.
I also have two ODS and each one is filled with one infosource and ODS are equal.
I fill ODS A with field type= A and ODS B with field type=B.
Datasource has delta behaviour.
I created two infopackages, with init delta, and i put diferent values for field type in selection fields in both infopackages.
First, it's this possible? I'm having a error, first extraction runs well but when i execute the second infopackage, i 've an error, saying that the the first request must be set first.
Any help?

U can fill two ODS from the same datasource by using two Infopackages ,
in the scheduler screen u can do the necessary settings and trigger the infopackage.

Funds management:
If the requirement is to budget expenses, then rea you can look at the cube 0CCA_C11.
For funds management specifc cubes look at 0FIFM_C01
Either way, you need to refine the cube to suit your requirements.
Underneath the cube, you need to create planing objects.; in BPS or in IP.

I have a situation where in i need to create an infosurce which should use ODS as Datasource and should update to ODS but it should not be generated datasource which will be 8(ODSname)!
I want to make my own infosurce for it!!!!1

Hi Raj,
You can create a data mart by right clicking on the infoprovider(ODS or infocube) and selecting the option 'Generate Export Datasource' .

Order and Sales Reporting Documentation

Hi,
I have a client that is trying to decide if they will use the standard SAP Bi reporting method for orders where the cancellation is taken into account on the date of the original order
OR
to make the cancellation or change applicable on the DATE IT WAS CHANGED.
Does anyone have a link to some documentation that explains WHY it is better to use the SAP standard approach? (Issues like exchange rates, open orders, etc)

Business Content SALES Cubes

Hi all,
Can someone provide me with links to documentation on the current Business Content for SALES reporting (including Order and Billing Item)?
I see 0SD_C03 but this seems to not include the "standard item extractor"
2LIS_11_VAITM for cube 0SD_C10.
is this extractor and cube obsolete now?
