0GLACCEXT Hierarchy in 0FIGL_V10 query usage

I have successfully set up & loaded 0GLACCEXT hierarchy & the whole 0FIGL_V10 pipeline (datasource/infosource/base cube/virtual cube). However, the financial users want a refinement in one of the 0GLACCEXT Hierarchy nodes for the P & L report filtered in the query.
Specifically, there is a node in the hierarchy, Freight. a couple different G/L account roll up here, but the users would like one of those accounts restricted to cost centers with a specific Functional area "MANF".
Can anyone suggest to me a way to restict futher in a query the transactions from a G/L account in this hierarchy? Thanks!!!

to clear things up: the 0FIGL_C10 is the content containg new general ledger transaction data. the 0FIGL_V10 is a virtual cube based on a function module. The source cube for this function module is 0FIGL_C10. The 0FIGL_V10 has only been created by SAP for queries regarding the balance sheet and P&L, since the function module will handle the correct placement of accounts & nodes depending in the query 0FIGL_V10_Q0001 on their balance value.
The data in C10 has been checked in the meanwhile and matches exactly in the ERP. The data in V10 matches exactly regarding the nodes ASSETS, LIABILITIES and APPENDIX. The other nodes, esp. P&L do not match. Some of the revenue accounts assigned to revenues show a "systematically" higher variance in BI compared to ERP. Those nodes vary by exactly the same amount each (20 Mio. Euro per account), although C10 shows the correct values.
We discovered the OSS note 1233874, too, and it has just been implemented. Will check right now.

we have loaded the hierarchy and we see it is fine when seen through maintain hierarchies
but when in bex report we are not able to seee the hierarchical display of the kf values
we have loaded the hierarchy with idoc mode is it right or should we load in psa..
however we see the hierarchy display is fine..
but the problem is at the report level.
we have activated hierarchy in the 0glaccext properties in query designer
any suggestion

Visual studio online - Excel power query usage and samples needed

Background
Visual Studio Online does not offer much in the way of reporting, when compared to (onsite) TFS... unless you utilize the REST API functionality.
The Visual Studio Online REST API is fairly extensive, but not very 'reporting' friendly to applications like Microsoft Excel.
Question
Are there any good examples of Microsoft Excel Power Query usage - to acquire and create reports via the Visual Studio Online REST API? I've searched - but surprisingly haven't found anything of substance. It is fairly simple to call a VSO REST
query using Excel Power Query, but not so simple to iterate through the lists within lists, etc... unless you are familiar with 'M language'.

Using different hierarchy in a query and last value error

Hi guys,
there is a hierarchy for customers in the 0Customer Infoobject which I should use in my query.
I have activated the hierarchy in the query and now some results are not appearing but red crosses "x" are shown.
And the error message: The function Calculate Results as ... could not be applied everywhere.
I know that I am using the result as "last value" for some columns because I need them there (for example: to determine the last value for the credit limit of the current month). I think these columns where I am using the last value calculation are only affected.
I mean my query has a lot of characteristics and key figures and I was told that a hiearchy for customers which is available should be used. But now there are these red crosses.
I don´t see any other solution as not to use this specific hierarchy.
Has anybody a suggestion what could be an argument to use or not to use a hierarchy?
Is it sometimes like in my case that a hierarchy is not possible to use?

Hi,
say for example your customer hierarchy is customers grouped under region. You can maintain this region as one of the attribute of customer and you can display this attribute in the report. Indirectly, this will give similar output to that of hierarchy.
But lot depends on how your hierarchy is formed, before commenting whether it can be moved to master data attributes.

0GLACCEXT hierarchy nodes description ( text ) not displaying

Hi Gurus,
I have uploaded 0GLACCEXT hierarchy from ECC system in to BI 7.0. I can only see the hierarchy nodes in the RSH1 and in the reports as well for 0GLACCEXT.But I am not able to see the hierarchy nodes description like under Expenses > salaries , wages , housing etc .....only its GL accounts is displaying like 700100 , 700200
I also uploaded Text datasource ( 0GL_ACCOUNT_TEXT ) for 0GLACCEXT , the text is loading without any problem but the changes are not being reflected in the RSH1 and the reports.

Thanks for your reply , the text for 0GL_ACCOUNT is displaying fine , I don't have any issues with 0GL_ACCOUNT , my main concern is I'm using Financial Statement item 0GLACCEXT for Balance Sheet and P&L Statement (for period accounting) by using Virtual Cube 0FIGL_VC1 the Text is not displaying in the reports as well as in RSH1 , where as for 0GL_ACCOUNT the hierarchies and text are working and displaying fine.
I'm closing this thread , the problem has been solved
it was related to mappings in Transfer rules.

0GLACCEXT Hierarchy

Hi,
I am using 0GLACCTEXT for Balance Sheet statements in my Virtual Cube as suggested by SAP.
When I key in the following information:
Reporting Period: 001.2007 - 005.2007
Comparison Period: 001.2007 - 005.2007
The data that is displayed is correct.
However, when I key in:
Reporting Period: 001.2007 - 005.2007
Comparison Period: 001.2006 - 005.2006 (The previous year)
The data that is displayed in both columns are wrong.
The difference between both is that an entire node of the 0GLACCEXT hierarchy is missing when I type in the second selection criteria.
Can somebody help me please? Thanks.

Did you loaded Text for the IO 0GLACCEXT or chck this table in BI /BI0/TGLACCEXT.?

Tables to get the query usage

Hi Guru's,
I have a requirement to identify the Query usage. For eg: How many times the query is executed in the last month and the users who are executing the query. We do not have BI statistics installed in the system. So please help me to identify the tables which is storing this Query related data.

You check the query run times and other details in the work load analysis (ST03) or using the table RSDDSTAT .
inorder to check the information using the above two methods -make sure the Bi stats are maintained in your system

Missed 0glaccext hierarchy for FI-IO

Hi I work on R/3 4.6 and I have a problem with 0glaccext hierarchy. It should be in RSA5 in FI-IO, but it's not there. Actually I can't find it anywhere. Do You know what do I have to do to have it? Apply samoe patch, or what? If so do you know whitch one?

Do one thing.
Select the top most node in RSA5 (i.e. SAP) and say Expand all from the toolbar.
Now goto find and give the datasource name 0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER,

I have loaded the Financial Statement Item hierarchy(0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER ) in to BI from R/3. I have made it as an infoprovider & included it in the multiprovider along with the GL Line items cube (other I/Os are also there). Next what all do I need to do for that to appear in the reports? That hierarchy selection in the query I have done but unable to expand the hierarchy!

Hello Padel,
Be sure you take care of I_PACKAGESIZE parameter.
If volume of data is less than I_PACKAGESIZE, it's OK. If volume of data is greater than I_PACKAGESIZE, You won't see any data. In this case, your function module has to produce data packets of size I_PACKAGESIZE.

How to hide a single value node hierarchy in the query designer

Hi,
I would like to perform a calculation in the infocube. It concern a count "Nb of different customers" with the following hierarchy : Country / region / City.
This KF would be read at the same time by city, region and country, and certain customers exist in 2 different region, and I have to count them only once by country.
To do this, I added a new record (at the country level when loading infocube) to deduct a number of customers in doubloons.
This line added contain only a country code and the number of cutomers in doubloons (- 23 when I have 23 cutomers in doublons) with revrese sign.
Now, I would like to use this value (-23) to have a right Nb of different customers by country, without showing the not assigned line in the report hierarchy.
How can I hide, in the query designer or the WAD, a single value node from hierarchy (NOT assigned) but take in account the value (-23) at the country level ?
Is there another solution (more simple) to perform this in the infocube ?
For information,
1) The infocube is loaded once per month, and the KF (Nb of different customers" is also performed by month.
2) I can't perform this in the report (performance problem with calculated KF).

the short answer is "you can't", the longer is: The ADF Faces tree component is stamped for better performance. This stamping means that nodes are not rendered as JSF objects but copies of an existing component (just with a changed value). For this reason the nodes don't issue their own query for data and thus cannot be refreshed individually

Display key date of hierarchy in the query

Hello,
we have a query that uses a hierarchy with the time depending structure. The key date of this hierarchy has been restricted with a variable and can be entered by user in the query selection screen.
Is there any way to display this key date variable in the query result ? Otherwise the users do not see the key date they had selected before.

Problem with Time-dep hierarchy in BEx Query

Hi,
I have a workbook that consists of 3 queries. All the 3 queries uses heriarchy and hierarchy node variables on 0CUST_SALES. The hierarchy is time-dep. 2 of the queries returns the output and 1 of them just displays "No applicable data found" for some of the nodes. I checked the hierarchy table and the date range for the nodes are in the range (01/01/2010 - 12/31/9999), the leafs have the range as 01/01/2010 - 06/30/2010. The 3rd query is the actually the summary of the other 2 queries. I checked the queries and found that the field 0CUST_SALES is on the characteristic restriction pane of the filter tab in the incorrect query and in the remainiing 2 its on the default values pane.
Will this be causing the problem in the incorrect query?
There is also a key date derivation type defined in all the queries. Its defined as Basic Time Char with the derivation type as "First day of Period". We are not using any infosets. The quries are on a multiprovider which has only basic infocubes.
Can someone please explain how this works?

Descendants function? Generally, we use FILTER function to achieve the requirement.
