Hello,
can any one tell Difference between extracting 0material hierarchy and 0Product hierarchy
0material pulls from MARA table
0Product pulls from MVKE table
so which one is more suitable to report on and what are the reasons for pulling from MARA or MVKE.

Well it dont work that way,
can anyone atleast give me the technical names available in infopackage in BW as to where to check that in R/3 tables
for example i have 0mat_sales with hierarchy technical name MATNR ,where do i check in R/3 to verify the same.
OVSV and V/76 do not give me the details.
so how do we know what hierarchy functional guys are using??

Standard Hierarchy: It is a hierarchy of cost center groups / profit center groups in which all cost centers / profit centers are gathered together in a controlling area.
In order to create cost centers, you require a structure in master data maintenance to which you can assign cost centers. You create this CO structure, the standard hierarchy, when you create a controlling area. If this hierarchy is not present during controlling area maintenance, the system automatically creates the highest node there.

Alternate Hierarchy: The alternate hierarchy setting in the controlling area enables you to name up to two more alternative hierarchies (according to fiscal year), which can be used for the authorization check in the same way as the standard hierarchy (meaning, that inheritance logic is used). You can also deactivate the standard hierarchy as an authorization hierarchy, and use only the alternative hierarchy.

If you use the Position hierarchy then you will have to go through the process of defining all of the positions / posts in your organisation and specifying all reporting lines in your organisation from top to bottom. You will then have the overhead of maintaining your positions and position hierarchy and keeping them in line with the business on a day to day basis.
If your organisation is fairly fluid, e.g. a project based organisation or an expanding organisation, these can be very significant overheads. Business re-organisation will create a large workload in creating new positions and migrating employees to them.
If you are in a fairly static organisation e.g. public sector then it may well be that the position structure is well documented and changes infrequently. In this case use of positions and position hierarchies is a simple data entry task and adds significant value.
The supervisor hierarchy is more flexible. It is simply a field held against the person record. However, there is very little validation on it so the you have to put manual processes in place to make sure the data is valid e.g. leavers are replaced and that no loops are created.
I would recommend NOT using positions unless yours is a public sector implementation.

End of fiscal year 2010 closing Balance 85,451,909.70
Opening Balance 2011 is showing as 85,450,909.70
Rs 1000 difference is coming.

Somes after year end for audit / management adjustment entries postings done with previous year.
Execute N no of times Balance carry forward T.Code: FAGLGVTR until you get your closing balances & opening balances are the same. it is not harm to execute again & again.
up to 4.7EE for balance transfer you can use T.Code:F.16 from ECC 5 / 6 use tcode for balance transfer FAGLGVTR

Begin by making Row 6 a Footer Row. You will find that option in the row tab menu that appears when you hover over the 6 tab and click the triangle.
Then enter this formula in B6:
=MAX(B)-MIN(B)

Vendor and Contract Hierarchy

I have a question that is about making a link with Vendor and Contract Hierarchy. First it is not clear how I can set the Vendor Hierarchy, I want to upload vendors from R/3 and for that I can create a vendor group and then upload but then how I can make a Vendor Hierarchy and I am not sure that I understand the correct thing about Vendor Hierarchy?

For using Product Cat.\Vendor\Contract hierarchy activate follwing before any data replication in EBP .
Spro->SRM Server->Cross. App.->Activate Hierarchies for Product Categories, Vendors, and Contract .

please I need a script to compare two oracle database tables and retrieves the differences in data records between the two tables.
I have tried this one :

But it generates the following error:

ok I used this statement with dblink, the problem is that i cannot use PL/SQL developer since it is a process repeated for 300 tables , that why i am trying to automate it:

I created the db link on a database A and when i run the statement
(select * from schema.T1minus select * from T2@dblink_name)
on the database B i get the error ORA-02019: CONNECTION DESCRIPTION FOR REMOTE DATABASE NOT FOUND.

Want to delete 0BPARTNER and 0PRODUCT master data

Dear friends / Experts
i want to delete the whole master data which is availabe in 0BPARTNER and 0PRODUCT , while deleting the master data using right click and deleting --> am getting the message like some of the master data can not be deleted but using se11 i came to know that still 3 million records are available in database.
so am kindly requesting you to help me out to delete those master data ..
even i have tried using 'RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA' functional module too.
but same result i got i.e. some master data can not be deleted.
please help me friends....

Hi,
As mentioned earlier, you need to delete all the transaction data wherever this master data is being used. One option is to use to the where used list from the master data and the other and more effective way to do the same is to first right click and delete the master data, it will give u a message that all the master data cannot be deleted. After that goto t-code SLG1 and check the log for deletion, it will tell u the exact objects where this master data is being used and then you can go ahead and delete the same.
You can also use t-code SE14 to delete the data but keep it as the last option.

Yup. The source files are simply missing from the 4.5 source releases....I'm hitting the same issue when trying to rebuild the SDK with flexcover changes applied.
