0operation_text - delta available?

Hello,
I am trying to use the datasource 0operation_text loading text related order/operations. It looks like only full load option available. In our system we have more than 20 million records if I use the full load option. This means every time I run this load it will have to reload all 20 million records. Do you know of any ways to load this same data using delta, so I don't have to reload 20 million every time? Currently only order# / lanugage / operation only available for selection in the infopkg of this data source. These fields are not helpful in our situation.

There is no delta available for 0OPERATION_TEXT. In order to "delta-enable" this extractor, we have added a User Exit to populate the creation and change date from the operation and then do a pseudo-delta in two InfoPackages with ABAP routines, one for each date, to extract create and change date records that are within 3 days of the current date. If there's a better way to do this, I'd be glad to hear it because this isn't exactly how I'd like to do this.

We would like to test old deltas from the source system( copied to new)

Hi Gurus,
The scenario is
They will make a DB copy of the Prod system onto a QA system, the Copied system will have
its system ID changed(SID) to a new one.
There will be deltas available in the RSA7, as this is a copy of the 3 weeks old prod
system. Now the delta's will be available on the Copied system pointing to the BW Prod system.
We would like to test these delta's to BW Dev. why we would like to do the delta's to the
BW dev system is to check whether we can do system copies without clearing the delta's on
the source system.
After the system copy we will do all the activities necessary to reflect the system changes
a. Like BDLS, We20, we21,ALE checks, RFCDES, RSLOGSYSDEST, RSBASIDOC, etc on the source system to
reflect the changes of the BW Prod system to BW Dev system.
b. Likewise, we will perform all the above activities on the BW dev system by changing the
existing source system to the new source system( performing BDLS,we0, we21, etc)to reflect
the new Source system with the new (SID).
c. We will check the source system connection
d. Replicate the datasources on the new source system
e. Activate the Transfer rules for the new source system.
Now for us to do delta's from the new source system to the Bw dev system we need to change
underlying tables in source system to point the delta's, arfc TID's etc to the BW dev system.
We can change the entries in the TRFCQOUT, ARFCCSTATE, ARFCDATA tables to point the LUW's and
destination to the BW dev system.
What I presume is if we run the BDLS on the Copied system to change the BW prod system to BW
and also the underlying Tables for the LUW's and etc will still be pointing to BW Dev. I would
like to know if this is the case .
Lastly, appreciate if anyone can say if this is possible to do without having to clear the
BW delta queue on the source system.

Appreciate a lot for your response, but i would like to know if we can reflect the entries in table RSSDLINIT(Last Valid Initializations to an OLTP Source) and RSSDLINITSEL(Last Valid Initializations to an OLTP Source) in the BW system on the copied source system
tables ROOSPRMSC(Control Parameter Per DataSource Channel), ROOSPRMSF(Control Parameter Per DataSource Channel) by executing the ABAP program RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE after we do the BDLS conversion on the new copied source system.
After the BDLS conversion I reckon the entries in the RSA7 queue, ARFCCSTATE, TRFCQOUT tables willl reflect the BW Development system instead of the BW Production system isnt it.

Delta download of org model

hi experts,
we have done the initial download of org model from ECC 5.0 to CRM 5.0.
now we need to understand that is there a delta download available on the org model. if we do any changes in org model in either of the systems will it automatically get reflected into other system?
any specific settings/ configurations to be done to enable org model delta download?
please let us know your views at the earliest.

This subject is a bit obscure. At least in CRM 4.0 the organizational unit upload (spro activity) worked very poorly, and I had to manually correct a lot of units.
Now that I thought about it better, the ALE distribution only works corretly between CRM landscape levels, not ECC and CRM since sales organizations are not necessaritly Org Units in ECC HR.
The conclusion is ....no delta available I believe.

Infospoke: variable selection ???

I have a infospoke and have to pull data according to yesterdays date. I know I can do this in Infopackage but I cannot figure how to do this in infospoke selection criteria.

one year ago, a SAP document related to OpenHubService showed in the 'OUTLOOK' page these functions (that is all the enhancements planned for the future):
- Logical file name handling in order to enable full
access to the file system of the Application Server
- Variables used in Selection
- Additional Data Sources like BEx Query and Hierarchies
- Additional destination formats like ASCII and XML
- Remote access to external database tables
- Transformation Library integration for transformations
- Deltas available for additional Data Sources
- Integration with 3rd party tools, i.e. Ascential
As you can see, there will be also the possibility to use variables in selection...but, at this moment, I think is not possible (I don't know what's your release, but if you have 3.0B, you can only use inclusion and exclusion options).
For your information,starting from 3.5, it will be possible to have variables within file names (e.g. File<date of creation>),folder as destination, logical file names can be transported and used in the target system without a change, integration of 3rd party ETL tools (e.g., Ascential) and loading data from any source system and distributing data out of BW to any target system.

Initialization issues

hi,
   i am using data source figl_6. i have initialized the delta process with few selection conditions and have been running deltas for a while. i have to change the selection conditions and start the initialization again. so i have cleared the contents of data target and initialized with out data trasfer again with the new selection conditions. when i run the deltas now it says no new deltas available. but when checked for the period i am extracting there is data for that selection conditions. i dont know where i am going wroung. can any body help me with this.

    we have moved into the production box last month and we have quite time on saturday nite for the initialization. so we have scheduled all the initializations with the following selection conditions for the fiscal yyear/period 006.2006 with other selections. we find that the other selections are wroung and we r suppose to scedule the initializations again. so rather then waiting till saturday nite i thought if i can change the selections to my requirement and with the same fiscal year/period i run the initialization with out data transfer. but the deltas from there on are not working.
can u please tell me how to get the initialization and deltas running from the mentioned period.

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Delta IP Only If Data Is Available

Hi together,
We have an InfoPackage, that delivers data using a DataSource in Delta-Mode. Unfortunately the InfoPackage only sporadically delivers data, mostly it returns zero records. Our question is now, how to find out, whether data is available and if not, to discontinue further processing of a process chain and to preserve system resources.
The corresponding DataSource is of type Extract Datasource for an InfoCube in the same system. I tried to get relevant information from request tables, but couldn't establish necessary relations as yet....

The only standard way I can think of is to set the traffic light to yellow or red when no data is available (transaction SPRO / Automated process/ Extraction monitor settings/SEt traffic light color). But as this customizing is system wide, it can be too brutal in your case.
Anyway, you can still create a program that will read the delta queues in the system source (the table to be read will depend on the dataSource), and use the result in a "Decision between multiple values " process chaine component. You will then be able to continue or not the process flow depending on the delta content.

K7N2 Delta: what are the fastest cpu available?

I have a K7N2 Delta-ILSR with a AMD Athlon XP 2200+
I am thinking about upgrading the CPU.
On the product page: http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=K7N2_Delta-ILSR&class=mb
it says that it "Supports 600MHz up to Athlon™ XP 3000+ processor or higher"
What does that exactly mean?
It supports Athlon XP 3000+ but what is the "higher" processors that it can support??

I see that the AthlonXP 3000+ has a FSB of 166,
Higher than that there is the 3000+ and 3200+ with FSB of 200.
Now lets see if i understand correctly:
My current processor 2200+ (1.8ghz) has 133MHZ = FSB 266
The 3200+ (2.2ghz) has a 200 MHZ = FSB 400
The specifications of the board say that it supports fsb of 400 so it should work with that processor.
You say i have to upgrade the memory also?
Im using DDR333 - PC 2700 that operate at 166mhz
I need to switch to DDR400 - PC 3200 that operate at 200mhz for the 3200+ to work? Or can i still use my current memory?

Any available BADI for Delta Report correction in SAP APO?

I hope you can help us on this topics:
we implemented successufully ZXCIFUSERU09 in SAP APO in order to change the location of certain PO we are transferring from R3 to APO. This is mainly needed to avoid to create in APO all the plants we are using in R3 for performance/sizing reason.
Now we are trying to apply the same logic in delta report too in order to be sure delta report will give us only the real exception and not the list of orders where via exit ZXCIFUSERU09 we changed the location.
This is to avoid delta report is showing inconsistency that are not
true .
Dop you have any idea wich is the correct exit in APO we can use to do that? we tried with method RELEVANT_FOR_COMPARE_R3_PO but this called after the comparison with R3 data have been already done and so it cannot help us.

thank you for your answer we have further investigated and we think the issue is in method
RELEVANT_FOR_COMPARE_R3_PO
where structure CT_APO_ORDER is empty . Do we need to add the data in this table as per your experience with other similar methods ro not?
We tried to add the data and result is that the comparison is done between the 2 structures:
CT_APO_ORDER and CT_R3_ORDER but for the first schedule line only! it seems a bug as the report is comparing both the lines in CT_APO_ORDER with the same schedule line in CT_R3_ORDER...
Do you think we need to add the data in CT_APO_ORDER or the data sould be already there and we only need to manipulate them?
Based on your reply and our test that I would like to ask SAP to correct the method as it seems a bug.
I also found Note 1363487 - BADI /SAPAPO/CIF_DELTA3 - add parameter CT_APO_ORDER that is confirm the structure CT_APO_ORDER should contain APO po data,....

View data in Delta Queue (RSA7)

Hi,
We want to see data records available for extraction in delta queue.
Data source is 0CO_OM_NWA_2. In RSA7 it is showing 5 in total column for this datasource. When we select "Diaplay Data Entries (F2) , select update mode Delta and execute it is displaying "List contains no data"
How to view this data ?

Hi,
Once you schedule the infopackage , it will pick up the data from RSA7 . Afterwards when you check the data in RSA7 by selecting update mode as delta - you won't find any records . but you can see the data in by selecting update mode - delta repetition - execute it. It will show the records which has been already transferred to BW side.
Update mode - repetition , will hold the data until the next delta is successful..

Load data in R/3 BW delta Queue

Is there any option to load data in R/3 BW delta Queue. I have done nothing for that. I have found that new record is available in source table. Is there any option to schedule / execute in R/3 end.

What do you mean ...Is it R3 Delta Queue or BW delta Queue???
As far as I consider it is R3 Delta Queue....For loading the data to R3 delta queue...1st let me know which update method you are using...
If its Direct update....document posting will be directly written to Delta Queue---RSA7.
If its V3 unserialised...then the changed document posting wil be captured and will be avaialble in Extraction Queue LBWQ and from there a collective run i.e. control jobs need to be scheduled as per your desired frequency to move it from LBWQ to Delta Queue RSA7.
If it is queued delta
u2022 Extraction data is collected for the affected application in an extraction queue
u2022 Collective run as usual for transferring data into the BW delta queue

HELP me with my K7N2 delta ilsr

Can anyone help me with this problem. I have just upgraded to MSI's K7N2 delta ilsr motherboard. Its all working quite well apart from the fact that the pc wont start up from cold....at all.
When I start the pc from an off state, it runs up the fans and drives, but does not post.
The diagnostic led pannel on the back of the pc shows that the cpu is faulty or not installed correctly.
If I then press the reset button, the pc posts, and boots up just fine.
It does this EVERY time I start up.
I have tried re installing the cpu, which is an XP 2800+ 333 barton, but to no avail.
I have asked a few questions on other forums, but I cant solve it.
These are the suggestions so far.
1. the psu (I have a Tsunami 400 atx psu) could not be giving out enough power on initial startup, but once the pc is running, it has enough to boot the pc from a reset.
2. The mobo or the bios could be at fault. I have not flashed the bios, or upgraded it in any way from original, so is there an issue with the original bios on these boards, and 2800 barton chips??? Could it be a mobo fault? The pc runs fine once the machine is booted.? how do I test it?
3. The cpu could be faulty? but would this not stop it running fuull stop?
4. my ram. I have a single stick of OCZ 512mb pc3200 ddr, which I was told would make the pc fly. Not shure on that statement, but is this ram compatible?? could this be the problem?
Im fairly new to the upgrade side of things, and I need some help with this one.
Also, Id be really greatfull if some one could talk me through flashing my bios to the latest version, as the thought of doing this narks me a bit...I dont want to mess it up and get a dead pc...

Sudden Restarts MSI K7n2 DELTA ILSR

I've had this setup for about a year now.
Sudden restarts now plague my system, no virus found per NAV 2004, ran processor burn in wizard, SISOFT sandra, on cpu arithmetic and cpu multimedia setting, 100 cycles (no problems) windows memtest ran with no errors via start up disk full cycle of tests.
Have reloaded video drivers,to no avail, this happens about once a week, any ideas????

norton antivirus is CRAP.
i stopped using it when i found my harddrive was full of viruses.

I've had several years experience in building my own PC's, and I suppose like everyone else I've learnt some expensive lessons. At the moment I've got several PC's all with AMD's ranging from XP 2100 - 3200+
2 Abit m/b, 2 Asus m/b and the latest one, which is the MSI Delta
This is the first time I've tried an MSI m/b and I have to say I've never known a board as twitchy as this when it comes to setting the FSB and DRAM timings.
When I first setup a m/board I don't, as a rule, adjust anything in the BIOS just to see how things bootup. For the test I also attach a spare hard drive with a basic windows XP setup and very little else. This helps me to observe how windows responds to the new motherboard - if there are any compatibility problems at this stage then windows will soon tell you in no uncertain terms with the dreaded blue screen messages. And believe you me I've had plenty of them with this motherboard.
Not only have the blue screens appeared but I've lost count of the number of times this system has either crashed out on me or reset itself for no apparent reason.
Right then, my first port of call was the BIOS........hmmm, everything looked fine the system was on auto, the CPU FSB Clock showed 200Mhz and the DRAM clock also showed 200. I switched the memory timings to manual because I wanted to change the CAS latency to 2.5, which I knew was the correct setting for the CORSAIR memory with an AMD cpu.
Next stop was to check all the cacheable stuff just in case the AwardBIOS was making too many assumptions which it sometimes does.
Tweaked a few other settings, but nothing that would have a drastic effect.
All this of course was to no avail, as the same problems kept happening.
Next step was to check for any BIOS update, and yes, as look would have it, MSI had brought out version 7.7, which I installed immediately.
During the process of updating the BIOS I noticed a message appeared saying, updating DDR timings (interesting I thought, had MSI realised they had a problem).
Again all this was to no avail of course. So I decided to tweak the CPU FSB Clock speed and started increasing it one step at a time, which only made matters worse and eventually I had to reset everything with the jumpers on the m/b. So I turned to decreasing the speed and after some trial & error I finally got the system stable at 192Mhz. Of course this also effects the speed of the DRAM clock which now runs at 382. Not quite what I expected but I suppose I should be happy that my system is still running.
Let's hope MSI continue to release BIOS updates which may evetually improve their timings !!

K7N2 Delta-ILSR BSOD

I've installed 1 SATA onto the onboard Raid controller, but I keep getting BSOD when either playing a game or watching avi's. The 0x00000000 message is disappearing too quickly to right down but is saying windows was shut down to prevent damage to the hardware.
Will the K7N2 Delta-ILSR Promise controller work with just one SATA hdd connected, I know that the silicon image controller on my Asus A7N8X-E will support just one SATA connected but will the promise chipset.
I've updated all the drivers but the dreaded BSOD keeps happening.
If it won't it not's a major problem as I do have a PCI sata controller card I can install.
Or are there any issues with the above graphics card and the MSI mobo?

Yep I've created a array with the single SATA and got Windows installed.
I've also changed the memory settings so they are now 1:1 with the FSB.
I've also altered the advance settings so I'll be able to write down the full 0X00000000 string.
Just set net access up via my PC and got this error report from M$

I've downloaded the current graphics card drivers from Abit and I'll install them and see what happens.
I've also adjusted the AGP in the bios from 64mb to 128mb.
