0ps_c04

I am using the business content for populating 0ps_c04 (Project system (controlling) cube) in BI7. I have managed to install the cube, infosource, datasource etc, but cant seem to find any infopacakges and thus process chains. Does anyone know wether they should be part of this or do I need to create them manually. Is there a white papaer on how or what this cube does, as well as any other geric white papers on BI Finanace

Infopackage and Process chain wont be a part of the Business content. You need to craete this manually.

We are trying to activate Infoprovider 0PS_C04 from BI content and getting following error. We have applied OSS Note 493422 and also tried several options by granting appropriate authorizations to the RFC user BID_CUA_200 being used for the extractors. However, we are still getting following error message. Unfortunately we have been experiencing this problem for most of the Infoobjects

Procedure
Use the generation log in source system ECDCLNT200 to identify the error, and remove the cause.

And also check whether there are any dumps in ST22.

Jumping from BW 0PS_C04 to SAP R/3 PS

Hi Folks,
We are seeking help to resolve a Report to Report Interface problem. Users are able to jump to R/3 CO/CCA, but not to R/3 PS. The following behaviour is observed when a query created against 0PS_C04 attempts a jump or Goto - CJ74. First warning message states that 0DOC_DATE cannot be uniquely assigned. Second warning message states that 0PSTNG_DATE cannot be uniquely assigned. The third and final message states that 'You cannot use the report-report interface to call up report RKPEP000.
Please, advise of potential fix or resolution.

ANEP-ANBTR FIELD ADDITION IN 0PS_C04

Hi All,
I am working with 0PS_C04 cube and have developed a CAPEX report on top of it.
Now further enhancement is required and i need to add a column based Asset Line Item ( ANEP table).
I need to fetch values of field ANBTR from ANEP.
Is there a standard datasource that i could use to fetch these values ???

I have master data source like "0WBS_INH_ATTR - Inheritance Data for WBS Elements" and "0WBS_ELEMT_ATTR - Work Breakdown Structure Element (WBS Element)" which one to use as I need to have those User defined fields also which is not there in wbs_attr data source but in inheritance data source, but few fields are there in wbs_attr data source but not in inheritance data source.

0PS_C04 - What datasource to use for plan values entered via t-code CJR2

We are using standard 0PS_C04 with all the recommended InfoSources.
We use t-code CJR2 in ECC to enter plan for the WBS elements. That said, I chacked to see whether 0CO_OM_WBS_2 or 0CO_OM_WBS_3 pulls these records, and it does not. 0CO_OM_WBS_3 is pulling from t-code CJ40.
Hence, how could I bring the values from CJR2 or report S_ALR_87013542 into PS_C04 of BW 3.1?
I also noticed that using 0CO_OM_WBS_6 only brings in actuals where valuetype=10. We need to bring in value type=20 and version=0.

R/3 data Not matching 0PS_C04 cube

hello guys, we had an oracle upgarde last week and "apprently after the upgarde the data in this cube isn't matching the data in r/3". first i thought may be the data in the cube was inaccurate, so
1) i cleaned the cube reloaded all the data accordingly, but it seems the error still existed.
2) Cleared the cube again and reloaded all the data from masters tables, to make sure nothing was missed
PROBLEM STILL persists,
Any suggestions?

Added new attribute to WBS

Here is my current issue.
I added a "deleted indicator" to the WBS_ELEMT_ATTR on r/3, then created a new infoobject in BW (did not flag it w/master data) and added this new infoobject as a navigational attribute to the WBS_ELEMT infoobject in BW.
Went to the infosource for WBS_ELEMT and added it to the transfer structure and the comm. structure. Activated it. Then reloaded the master data for WBS from r/3. Went to "Maintain Master Data" for WBS_ELEMT and I can see the new field is populated correctly in the new field I added to WBS_ELEMT.
Then I went to the cube 0PS_C04 and marked the new attribute I added to WBS_EMEMT as a navigation attribute and re-activated it and the update rules.
The problem is in the query and when viewing data with list cube or cube contents the field is blank. But its not blank with maintain master data for WBS_ELEMT.
Does anyone have any clues as to my mistake or what I need to do. I'm needing to restrict a query based on 0PS_C04 by this new attribute I added to WBS.

Hey Richard,
WBS_ELEMT is a navigational attribute in 0PS_C04 and "deleted indicator" is a navigational attribute of WBS_ELEMT. So, "deleted indicator" is a second level navigation attribute for 0PS_C04. This will not show you any data in the query even if you can see the data for this field in WBS_ELEMENT. One more thing is that in the update rules for 0PS_C04, you have mapped only WBS_ELEMENT but not "deleted indicator". Hence, the data is not displayed in the report.
You can handle this in 2 different ways.
1. Add "deleted indicator" to the cube directly and map it all the way down to the data source.
2. Add the "deleted indicator" to the cube and in the update rules, map it as an attribute of WBS_ELEMENT.
Unless it is mapped to the cube from the comm structure in the update rules, you can not see the data in the report. Try one of these and let us know if it works.

Have you uploaded the hierarchy for FKTSL and include this infoobject in your cube......you can execute the report to drilldown based on the hierarchy

Mismatch in PS reports BW vs R3 Standard reports

hello Gurus,
I have loaded the 0PS_C04 (Controlling) for PS.
The Budget data comapared to R3 figures are matching perfectly.
Bu the Actual Cost show big difference. The R3 data using tcode:S_ALR_87013558 shows a very different Actual Cost.
The report in BW is the standard report WBS Elements:0PS_C04_Q0004
I tried filtering on Valuation View,Vtype,0metype etc....
Is there any config setting in R3 for PS....
This particular is coming in BW production data.
In BW Dev the figures are right compared to R3 Quality server....

The Cost Plan and Revenue Plan data compared to R3 figures are matching perfectly. Bu the Actual Cost show big difference. I am using sap delivered restricted key figures.

New in SAP PS module, appreciate your advice on the PS Plan Vs Actual cost reporting.
What kind of standard extractor should we use in order to extract the Plan cost entered in PS?
What kind of standard extractor shoud we use in order to extract the Plan cost enter?
I would assum that we need to have to InfoCube where one will keep the actual and one will keep the plan cost?
Then we build the multiprovider on top of this in order to report the Plan Vs Actual.

Trying to look Contents for a new custom InfoCube and giving ERRORS ?????

I have created a custom InfoCube (ZTEST_PS) in similar to 0PS_C04. When I try to look the Contents of this InfoCube through Manage --> Contents or Listcube Tcode option, it is giving the following warnings/errors for every attempt:
1. Your user master record is not sufficiently maintained for object Company Code Hierarchy
Diagnosis
When checking your authorizations for object 'Company Code Hierarchy' (technical name: ZCOMPHIER) it was established that you do not have authorization in your user master record for this object (return code 12).
Procedure
How you continue depends on the return code. See the online documentation for ABAP language element "AUTHORITY-CHECK". Please note:
With a return code of 12, the object 'Company Code Hierarchy' has not been maintained in the user master, meaning there is no profile in the user master record in which this authorization object has been entered. This is, however, absolutely necessary, as all of the authorization objects created in the development class RSR are validated in the 'and' link. If the authorization is missing for only one object, the request is rejected as unauthorized.
Get the person responsible for your authorization to create you a profile containing authorization for object Company Code Hierarchy.
2. System error: RSDRC / FORM AUTHORITY_CHECK USER NOT AUTHORIZED ZTEST_PS ZTEST_PS

You dont have authorizations for the 'Company Code Hierarchy'ZCOMPHIER , you dont have authorizations.
What you will have to do is ask the basis person to give you authorization for the Hierarchy , Or if you can ..switcg off authorization checks for the Cube in T-Code RSSM.

WBS Updates in R/3 not Key in BW

In R3, POSID can be changed without impact to the WBS in R3, but with great impact to the WBS in BW, which understands the new POSID as a new WBS element. Only a full delete/load of both the WBS Master Data and Transaction Data into BW will keep the BW and R3 WBS records in full sync. This is not practical in the BW Production environment. Also, it would not be known when a user changes the POSID in R3, so full loads would need to be done daily to insure that all changes are captured. Again, not practical in Production.
Although costs are often posted to Networks rather than to WBS elements, especially upper level WBS elements, roll-up of costs under a WBS is often a very common form of reporting in BW, especially for Project Managers. These WBS "roll-up" reports in BW would report costs on the previous POSID unless full replace of WBS Master and Transaction records were done between BW Report run times.
Has anyone else run into this problem? One recommendation would be to change the current process with custom development. The "lowest impact" options in my opinion would be:
Block the ability of the users to change the WBS POSID on the R3 side.
Change the BW WBS Primary key from POSID to a concatenation of POSID/PSPNR, and create a Rule during BW WBS Extraction to check if the POSID for an existing PSPNR has changed if yes, replace the POSID for the existing PSPNR with the new POSID name.
Any thoughts?

Here is a note from SAP on the WBS issue. According to Colm O'shea (SAP support) they are going to try and put a fix in the next plug-in upgrade.
New and extended interfaces for integrating SAP R/3, SAP R/3 Enterprise, and SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC) will no longer be delivered with their own add-on (SAP R/3 Plug-In). As of SAP ECC 6.0, they will be contained directly in SAP ECC.
PI 2004.1 is therefore the final separate delivered SAP R/3 Plug-In release.
This means that:
SAP ECC 6.0 and subsequent releases will automatically contain all integration interfaces that so far have been contained in the SAP R/3 Plug-In and that ensured the technical integration with other SAP Components.
Customers who run SAP R/3 4.6C, SAP R/3 Enterprise 47x100 and 47x200, and SAP ECC 5.0 will receive additional integration interfaces in a Support Package for PI 2004.1 once a year. The delivery of this Support Package will be synchronized with that of mySAP Business Suite. The 2005 delivery is in November as part of Support Package 10. Information about the delievery from 2006 onwards are take place here

In the project system, you can rename the following objects: project
definition, WBS element, network and network activity. In this case,
only the external identifier of the objects is changed. The internal
identifier (object number and Guid) is retained.
In the BW content of the PS, the external identifier of the objects is
stored in the cubes.
If the objects in the source system are now renamed, the reference of
the transaction data already loaded for this object disappears in BW,
since this refers to the old external identifier.

Solution
Currently the only solution is to load master data and transaction data

Report-Report Interface from BW to Project Systems

I'd like to jump from BW reports based on 0PS_C04 into the corresponding R/3 line items. If I specify CJ74 as the transaction target then run the BW report and choose the corresponding option from the 'GoTo' menu the following message is displayed. I find this very confusing -- it seems to be saying that the report behind the transaction cannot be used in the report-report interface, but in the procedure says always use the program in the report-report interface.
Can anybody understand what the message is telling us? Can anyone tell me how to jump to an R/3 line item report from BW Project System cube?

Line item report RKPEP000 is not suitable for the report/report
      interface.
Procedure
Always enter RKPEP000 as the receiver report for project line items in
      the report/report interface. This program uses the transfer parameters
      to determine which line item reports can be accessed.
