1.0.1 firmware link on downloads page - replacement or update?

I'm traveling and only have my iBook with me. Is this new version 1.0.1 something that installs after what we already did with 1.0.0, or instead of (if one had not yet installed it)?? Would someone who has already installed the first one kindly let us know the status of the 1.0.1 version, as I don't see anything on the iMac Support page about this one. thanks

I just installed firmware version 1.0.1 this morning. I had previously installed 1.0.0 prior to installing Boot Camp. V 1.0.1 was "actionable" on my updated intel iMac; in fact, the install process (grey screen/white bar) took 3 or 4 minutes.
I always find it a little strange how scant descriptions are for Apple's firmware updates. I do know that in some cases stability/reliability/usability issues are addressed in firmware updates that would otherwise be almost comical to outline to the average user, or in other instances, convoluted to all but the seasoned developer.
Enough commentary - folks, just remember, don't get impatient and attempt to intervene by pressing buttons and turning knobs during a firmware update. That's how problems start.
Once you've run through the installer and the computer shuts down, upon restart remember to hold the power button down until such time as you see flashing light. Be patient during the firmware installation process, and lastly - DO NOT manual boot your machine after the firmware is installed.
Once the grey screen goes to black the update is NOT COMPLETE until such time as the machine automatically reboots and your installer runs a page telling you that your firmware is now up-to-date.
Installing firmware is no biggie - just don't get jumpy and attempt to "speed up" the process, cancel it or otherwise alter your machine during installation.

    You cannot download OS X.

Third-party sources for Snow Leopard are:

  • WRT160N Router Firmware - Download page incorrect

I am trying to check if the firmware on my new WRT160N was the latest (I have 1.02.4-CA). I found to the Linksys Canada support page for the WRT160N (http://www-ca.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Content_C1&childpagename=CAen%2FLayout&cid=1153781111465&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=1146512181N01) On that page I selected Downloads, then specified WRT160N and clicked on the link for "Firmware" which took me to http://www-ca.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Download_C2&childpagename=CAen%2FLayout&cid=1153781261058&packedargs=sku%3D1175241703067&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=6105812181B01 There are 3 firmware versions on that page and the newest one (5/14/2008) actually downloads the 4.9.8101 version of the MAC install wizard! The next newest version (1/8/2008, 1.02.2) on that page downloads the file WRT160N_1.02.2_US_code.bin which I sure don't think is a good idea to use over my Canadian firmware! I guess the website folks need to fix that. It doesn't look like there is any update to the Canadian 1.02.4-CA firmware version on my router?

Well try upgrading the firmware of the router & keep on holding tightly the reset button in such a way that power light is blinking on the router & then do a complete network power cycle i.e., unplug the power cables from the modem & from the router & then plug in the power cable to the modem first once all the lights are solid green you could plug in the power cable to the router & check out it will definately work!! or else you could try downloading the firmware through ftp.linksys.com & you should be able to resolve the issue.

  • Can't access adobe from my smart phone to use my form created in formscentral I receive an error message that says "unsupported browser". There is a link to download a supported browser but the link directs me to another page that says "browser no

When I try to access adobe from my smart phone to use my form created in formscentral I receive an error message that says "unsupported browser". There is a link to download a supported browser but the link directs me to another page that says "browser not supported at this time". This happened to me while using my IPhone 5, a friend that uses an IPhone 6, and another friend that uses a Samsung Galaxy S5. I just need for my employees to be able to access, complete and submit work orders created in formscentral from their phones. I would like to use the data collection feature in formscentral but at this point any suggestions on how to accomplish this are welcomed. Thank you

Further info - I changed my security settings to allow apps from anywhere, and again tried to install.  I again got an error message
that the update failed to install, and to contact Customer Support.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus Firmware version not current on the HP Downloads Page

My HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus came with Firmware version CKP5CN1334ER which the printer update says is up-to-date. The HP downloads page shows CLP1CN1322CR as the current version. Can you tell me what the differences are in version 1334 from the one (1322) on the web page?
It would be nice to have the latest version posted for download to prevent confusion.

  • Where can I get a 32-bit Itunes? The download page keeps linking to a 64-bit version.

The Apple download pages keeps linking me to a 64-bit download. Not a 32-bit.

  • So I can update my Oracle Java Applet Plug-in to Development Kit 7, Update 65, can you link me to the correct Oracle download page from your Plugin Update page?

When I periodically accessed your Plugin Check and Updates web page in the past, I really appreciated you connecting me to the correct Plugin Updates vendor web page when I clicked on your red Update Now button. This time, however, your Java Applet Plug-in "Update Now" button linked me to the Oracle Java "7u65 Updates Release Notes" instead of the usual download page. It seems rather unexpected for me, or any other conscientious user for that matter, to search the appropriate "JDK 7U65" file download from the Oracle website.
    Thank you,

This is getting way too complicated for normal peop.
First: the "Update Plugin" does not work, it goes to a page with all sort of computer jargon but no "Update button" anywhere.
Second: this forum jscher2000 gives a good solution, but I downloaded the incorrect java update, because my computer is 64 bit. how am I supposed to know my browser is what it refers to and that FF is 32 bit.....???$%^&*()??
Third: some of those "critical update" software are not even on my computer....well at least I don't think it is, I search for "shockwave" and did not find it.
I love Moz FF but the updating is starting to get out of control. why give us (computer idiot) an auto recommendation update not tailored to our computer? Perhaps in big letters at the top there should be an explanation "this is general suggestion these plugin needs updating, not to tailored with your computer, do your own research"
and/or add info I need to know like the 32 bit thing, took me forever to download the 64bit update for JAVA and it was the wrong one.
Now I am just afraid to update anything for FF because it is too darn confusing.

  • File Download links on ADF pages

    Hi,
I have made an appliaction in struts 2 which creates PDF,its working fine now i want to place a link on my jsp page from where i can click and download that PDF file which i have created and store on my local location. Also i want to to know can i place links on my jsp page to download other type of files if i want to give link on my page to download Images or songs how can i do that,
    Help plzzzzzzzzzzzz

IF You are using jsf then simply <h:outputLink value="file:///D:/Me/Image000.jpg"/>. This generates HTML <a> tag and value attribute replacing with <a> tag's href attribute. If you are using other technologies try to find which tag generates HTML <a> tag.
I think You also can simply place HTML <a> tag wherever You want

After clicking Safari prompt box to "Download Flash..." , I'm linked to the Adobe Flash Player Download page. I click the "Download Now". The page advance to next page in the download process but then immediately goes black and nothing happens. System preferences firewall is off and apps are allowed from anywhere and in Safari other plug ins are allowed and cookies are not blocked and pop up windows are not blocked. Why won't Flash Player download?

Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
If you are installing for the first time, this is where to DL it.

  • Link to download firmware s

I understand i need to download these softwares before i can update my at&t Lumia 1520 to denim. Is there a link to download firmware : 02061.00074.14273.33019 and firmware 1028.3562.1407.1001
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

That is absolute nonsense, you will get directly the latest available firmware available for your handset. If you do it OTA and some other firmware bits are required for the latest one to install, they will get installed automatically before the latest firmware is applied. You will only observe several updates happening one after the other without any input required from you. If you use the tool via PC, it will wipe your phone and install directly the latest firmware.

  • Download page doesn't have a download link

    I've gone to: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/#download
The download button on the page just jumps to the bottom of the page. But there is no other link to download Digital Editions.
    The download just never starts.
    Thanks,
    - Jesse

For information, here is what happens when I try it (Safari, Mac OS
    X.5)
Download now link takes me to #download, the sectrion "Download now".
    This doesn't download anything.
It says "To get started .... or you can directly download ... by
clicking the Install Adobe Digital editions button at the right". I do
    not see any such button.
To the right of this text is a rather baffling graphic which seems to
be a screen shot of the product, with "System requirements" overlaid
on it. (It's actually in Flash).
Clicking on it takes me to a help page - no download. However, among
the "known issues" buried deep down this page it does say "Mac OS X
    v10.5 is not presently supported".
NEXT, trying it on a Windows XP system with a secure browser setup,
the graphic is missing, and it says I have to install Flash. Well, I
don't do that on this secure system.
NOW, trying it on regular Windows XP, it's the same as on the Mac
except that when I click on the baffling graphic, it changes to a
prompt. "Adobe Digital Editions... Would you like to continue
    installing..."

  • Dead links on the Download Page

I noticed a few of the downloads on the Flex page were not working... couldn't figure out a better place to mention this so I decided to post here. Anyone know a better spot? Anywho, the two links I tried to hit were:
    http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/download?build=3.0.1.1092&pkgtype=2
    http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/download?build=3.2.0.3794&pkgtype=2
They are the two sdk's supported for the FlexCover project.

  • I get no link to download iTunes on the download page

I was on Apple's website trying to download 5.0 I am using a PC with Windows XP. There is no link on the download page that will allow me to download the upgrade to 5.0. I tried to contact their technical support to explain the problem on "their" website and then I was told to contact HP because I have an HP "Apple" IPod, then after I asked the rep how could HP help me with an APPLE website he said that they could not and that he could help me for $49 since I had an HP Ipod. I asked him how could he help me? I said for $49 you will troubleshoot the website for me for software that is free how will that help me? Then I said that I am only calling you because it is your website and there should be some department that escalates problems with the website and he said that there is not, that there is no way for anyone to contact the programmers of the website to escalate problems...? The reason I was concerned is I accessed the website from another computer and it worked from that computer which was a MAC. I looked at the discussion board and did not see a similar problem. I am on apple.com/itunes/downloads and where it is blue on the left and orange on the right there is no link on the blue side that ask for my email and has the download link it is just solid blue.

    This is the link: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Fill in the info, click download. Works on 3 different machines here, with both IE and firefox. Maybe your computer has some sort of problem, or you're using a proxy or something like that.
    But the website is fine.
