[1.14] Are photos displayed right for you in landscape mode?

Hello,
I upgraded some days ago from 1.02 to 1.14 and noticed that some photos aren't displayed in full screen when in landscape mode. They have these black bars on the sides. The weird thing is that not all are displayed like this and that all (the same) photos were displayed correctly when I used 1.02.
I took two screeshots to show you the problem:
http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/7837/picture005wr7.jpg
Original Size of the picture: 800x600
http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/8479/picture006ue4.jpg
Original Size of the picture: 512x314
It seems that it keeps the aspect ratio, but I don't like it all and want it the way it was on 1.02...
Have you an idea?
Thank you very much!

There is no problem here, it just changes the view in landscape mode. All photos are taken with the same aspect ratio, but the portrait pictures automatically zoom in when you display. If you zoom out on a portrait picture you will see this. There is no problem with your phone, it is just a small change Apple made.

  • Is dataTable right for you?

<h:dataTable> is convenient but is it right for you if the list of objects come from the database. It appears that if the form containing a dataTable is submitted, system calls the getter method of the list twice. I can see this being necessary from JSF's point of view.
Call#1 - Needed so that the UIData.getRowData works fine.
Call #2 - Needed to re-render the reply.
If the list is being built from a database table, Call#1 is a heavy price to pay for convenience.

Maybe you could cache your results in session scope?

how quickly does photo stream sync for you?

I have seen some posts floating about here complaining that photos don't or at least don't immediately sync to all devices. I think a small number of these people may not realise that syncing requires wifi and not 3G, one must also remember this community is like a doctors surgery, it is where people come if they have aches and pains.

  • Captivate 4 shortens timeline - elements are not displayed right anymore

    Hi there,
I already searched the forum but couldn’t find an answer. Maybe someone of you can help me.
I have a weird problem with the timeline – in short: it changes.
I have some slides, based on imported Power Point slides. Within captivate I add some Audio (TTS), let appear images & textboxes simultaneously, add buttons etc.
Sometimes I extend the slide duration (for example when slide transition is set to automatically).
And now the problem that occurs: Captivate shortens the timeline – exactly to the length where the audio ends. Doing this causes that elements which are placed at the end of the slide are also shortened and not displayed right anymore.
This is shown in the following screenshot. On the left side of the cursor you can see an image element that normally should fade in directly after the audio ends and should stay for 4 seconds.
I couldn’t figure out when this happens. This means that I have to check every slide again to make sure that all elements are displayed right. Locking elements or the slide itself doesn't help.
Does anybody know why this happens and how to avoid this? I am using Captivate 4 and publish as an .exe or an .swf
Your help is appreciated. Thanks a lot!

    Hi Noel
If you click Edit > Preferences > Global > Defaults do you have the option Calculate caption timing enabled?
If so, that's likely your issue. Clear the option and your timing should stay put when you make edits.
    Cheers... Rick

If images are missing then check that you do not block images from some domains.
*Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar
Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
*Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
*If an image in the list is grayed and "<i>Block Images from...</i>" has a checkmark then remove this checkmark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the <b>permissions.default.image</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page should be 1.

  • Print Book on 8.5x11 in photo paper for "proof" No Landscape mode :(

Is there anyway to print pages of a book to 11x8.5 paper and
    (1) Have Aperture rotate the image to landscape mode?
    and
    (2) Have it scale the page to the page being printed onto?

Well, I may have created my own work-around for this.
I printed the book as a PDF and then printed the PDF. Doing so scaled the final printed output to the 8.5 x 11 photo paper that I had (even though the book itself will be larger). And it printed in landscape mode.
So the "trick" is to print the book as a PDF rather than try to directly print it from Aperture to your printer.

  • Good References for developing in Landscape Mode?

Just wondering if there's a portion of the Programming guide, or if there are any good sample apps or sites out there with tips and best practices for developing apps with landscape views?
Googling and searching based on "horizontal or landscape view" doesn't seem to narrow it to quite what I"m looking for.
Specifically, I have an tab bar app that is mostly portrait, but I want the user to be able to enter a view that is landscape. (whether by button push, or rotating when in a particular view)...I'm hoping for my landscape view to essentially be independent of the rest of the app (i.e. no tab bar, specific actions, graphics, etc...)
Anyways, just looking for some good starting points for this if there are any recommendations....

  • Why does my display does not go into landscape mode?

My iPod touch 3G on iOS 4.3.5 will not enter landscape mode. It's been doing this for a while.
AND YES, ROTATION LOCK IS NOT ENABLED.
So anyway, my warranty is not covered anymore and it costs $30 CAD for a single telephone call. What a rip off! Anyway, I'm not buying that. Should I go to the genius bar?
BTW, sometimes it rotates when I just restore it but then later it will not work.
I've found another person with the same problem and here is his theorie:
"I belive that at one point our ipods got over heated and it was so hot that the accelorometer was fried and detached from the motherrboard."
So yea. What should I do?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Which Netbook is right for you? Read here for suggestions.

With the popularity of Netbooks on the rise, its important to pay attention to all the features that you possibly might be getting before purchasing.
Many of them ship with Linux. This configuration is fine for people who are just doing basic internet surfing, managing photos, and doing some webcam chatting. However, these models do not run Windows programs and they are quite limited in storage capacity. Were talking about 3 to 4 gigabytes of storage.
In short, its fine for the basic user. If you are a power user, consider getting the Acer Netbooks with a large capacity drive. They have Windows on them and are suitable for people who demand more features then Linux can offer and you can install lots of programs.
When buying a Netbook with Windows, you really want to purchase an external burner or drive to install programs on it. You might want to buy memory cards and other peripherals as well.

  • Fonts are not displaying right

I'm creating a website with Muse and I need to use Scandic letters. But they don't seem to work. I've tried both web fonts and web safe fonts but the letters are still not displayed. I have closed Muse and relaunced it with no success. I'm using the latest version. In previous versions I didn't have any problems like this.
The site is www.sumiaispiiras.com I really need help to solve this fast.

    Hello,
what I was doing was launching the website without doing it in Business Catalyst (through ftp directly to my web host using my own domain) however the fonts didn't work. So I tried to launch it in BC and the fonts were working perfectly there. After that I contacted my system provider (web host) and what they did was  that the added .htaccess file  "AddDefaultCharset UTF-8" to my homepage. So the problem was that they didn't have the same code as what Muse uses. So if anyone has the same problem, try to publish the page in BC and see if the fonts work there if they do the problem is not with Muse.

  • Songs are not displayed right away

upon inserting CD, song names/cd info does not show unless I click on advanced/get song names. My computer used to find all this info right away, but changed with the new itunes update. Any ideas?

I have the ZenV Plus, 2 gb and it lists the songs by Artist, by Album, by Genre and then it has a complete alphabetical list of the songs by title (All tracks). Don't you have this option uner your "Music Library"
