1.2.3 - bugs within iOS 8

(iPhone 5S 64 GB) My current list of bugs are:
1. Notifications freezing once touched, especially whatsapp but it happens sporadically, I would have to press the home button for the notification to slide back up.
2. Does not mirror properly with Apple TV 2. When playing a video there is a still over the video actually playing in the background or just hearing audio.
3. When playing videos in safari, video will auto stop when changing from landscape to portrait mode.
Anybody else experiencing problems 1, 2 or 3? Let me know.

Bug 8267360 has now been logged on this issue, which you can check out on Metalink. The issue only seems to occur - the circumstance I missed - when you add URL parameters to the login page, for example by specifying the database with &database=(TNS name), we do this in our setup. We have always done that, so I didn't add much importance to that fact - until just now...
I'm glad I found this issue in the test environment before going production - most of our users have 8 char passwords in fact, and putting CP3 out as it is now would have caused a terrible mess....
Please try again with this information, if you can reproduce the mentioned problem. Create a user with 8 char password, grant the necessary rights etc., and see if that user can connect, if you specify an URL parameter in the login page. Then modify the user's password to be anything but 8 characters in length....
If you run 10.1.2.3 + CP3 and is not affected by this, if you don't use URL parameters, then great :-) But I'd still advise you to be very aware of this bug. Please check it out and post your results here.
Michael, please check out the bug details on Metalink and put an entry up on your blog - I think this issue is critical enough to be widely published.

Long voice memos can not be played
In these cases, the iPhone saves the file not in the format M4A or can not open this file.
This file is stored in the folder /var/mobile/Media/Recordings
In This cases there can be find a file in the format MOV.
During recording, the voice memo has the format MOV.
When the voice memo stopped the file must be stored in the format M4A.
For large files, there are currently problems.
I use the program iPhone Explorer and save the MOV-file on my computer.
Now i can open it with QuickTime.

Restarting videos works and looks like video is getting deleted.

What is Apple doing to fix the bugs from IOS 7.1.2 update??? This update has ruined my phone! Why would you put out a update you know is going to ruin someones phone? Whats being done? I have tried everything to fix my phone which was just fine before Apples IOS 7.1.2 update!!!

I have also experienced issues with my iphone5 since updating to ios 7.1.2, prior to this update my phone was working perfectly fine and I know I didnt cause any damage to the phone because I baby my iphone as if it was my child. Ever since I updated to 7.1.2 my phone shutts itself down while I am using it, it can be while using whatsapp, browsing the internet or using apps, more than anything it fails while using the internet. The screen will either start to flicker or vertical lines will pop up and then the phone will fade to black, after this happens the phone will get really hot and to turn it back on I have to wait 5-10 minutes and hold down the power and home keys at the same time for about 15 seconds for it to turn back on, I have to wait 5-10 minutes because if I dont when I boot it back up it immediately shutts down again. This is a constant all day thing and for now i get by just making phone calls and sending regular text but I try to keep the action down to a minimum to prevent missing a phone call. I tried clearing the phone and rebooting it to original setting but this didnt fix it. After reading and speaking with several techs they tell me that ios 7.1.2 rolled out some performance adjustments one particular that affects the amp levels that the battery works at and supposedly the iphone 5 cant handle it, they explained that the phone for certain activities is asking for more or less power and the phone panics into safe mode and shutts itself down. My battery life is fine so I havent changed the battery like someone had suggested. In the diagnostic data it gives a panic.ips error. Id really like to know if there is any possible way to roll back to 7.1.1 through jailbreak or any other way, I was perfectly happy with this phone and didnt plan on buying another one for atleast 1-2 more years. If anyone can help me out this would be greatly appreciated, if not I hope apple is working to fix this.

Bug within Write to Measurement Express vi

I think I have found a Bug within the Write to Measurement express VI.   I have attached an example VI to help reproduce the error.
Here is a bit of history.. I have a data monitoring system which runs continuously. I have the write to measurement setup to create a new file every 12 hours. What I noticed is that even though a new file has been created, I still cannot access the old files until I stop the VI that has the Write to Measurement VI in it. I am trying to access the files via Diadem.
For this application, it is not practical to stop the Data Monitoring Main VI every time I need to look at the data.  The alternative that I found was to not use the Write to measurement express VI and use open/write/close TDMS vi's.   This is not an acceptable solution as the features programmed into the Write to measurement Express VI are need for my application.
Can someone please fix this or help me fix it?

Please understand that I can suggest a workaround, and I've tested it in your scenario and it seems to work OK, but I cannot guarantee this workaround for all possible use cases of this Express VI. It is for this reason that we generally don't like to recommend one-off modifications to VIs that ship with LabVIEW - they do not get tested with as wide a set of use cases as we do on VIs when we ship them. As such, I'm not going to just hand you a VI to replace in vi.lib, but I will show you a few edits you can make to work around this issue.
Open this VI: "[LabVIEW Install Dir]\vi.lib\express\express shared\ex_TDMS\ex_createorOpenTDMS.vi"
Open its diagram. Near the left there's a section that looks like this:
The current known bug is with the "Not A Number/Path/Refnum?" function on TDMS files, so you'll see the following changes in the below diagram, which hopefully you can make and try out in your use case. I would highly recommend making a backup copy of this VI before saving any changes!
Delete the "Not A Number/Path/Refnum?" function.
Connect the "new file?" input to a "Not" function, and wire the output of the "Not" to the case structure selector where "Not A Number/Path/Refnum?" was previously being used.
Delete the wire connecting the error out of the first inner case structure to the second inner case structure, and re-route the error wire around the first case structure.
Hopefully with these three instructions and comparing the shipping and workaround images you can successfully get up and running.

Same problem for me. Really a pain in the *** this bug ! Does Apple fixed it. I'm really suprised noone reports this problem and apple does not adress this.
Because of that, I cannot give it anymore to children because it hurts the view. Really a shame on the part of apple !

It's delated with BVI - Bridge-Group Virtual Interface. It won't come UP, unless you type
"R1(config)#interface bvi 1 ?"
That question mark at the end is the key that will enable BVI interface. You don't need to press enter. It took me a few days to figure it out...

I noticed another bug in IOS. This time on static DHCP settings. You need to have default-router entry otherwise it doesn't work.
Here's sample config:
ip dhcp pool STATIC
host 10.10.10.10 255.255.255.240
client-identifier 0122.5b27.1f62.aa
default-router 10.10.10.1
Thisway is working, but without last command - it's not working.
"show ip dhcp bindings" is properly showing that static entry exists, but router doesn't assign desired IP. I'm using universal IOS v15 on cisco 800 series.

If the reset does not work I would try the following before going to Apple
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

As you have been directed in the other posts you've made on the issue, this is most likely a hardware problem with your particular iPod, and you won't get different answers by posting more threads on the topic. If this was a bug in iOS 6, I'm sure we'd have seen many more posts on the problem, so this is more likely to be a problem with your iPod, not with iOS 6 itself.

There are too many bugs in ios 5.1(9b179) version. When moving towards the search iphone the keypad automatically moves up and then while going back to home screen it stays so for which one has to restart the phone.Another bug is app refuses to install on on wiifii networks.Please find the solution of this problem.

find the IPSW file and delete it. then, backup the iPhone and restore it. this will force itunes to download a new IPSW file (the installation file or iOS). then, before you restore form backup, test the iPhone while it's empty.
if you must resotre from backup, turn off automatic syncing in iTunes first... but, if the bug is in your settings, then restoring the iPhone from backup might bring the bug back onto the iPhone.

I guess their is a lot of bugs in iOS 6.0.2.? I'm using the iPhone 5 and when I send a really big text my messaging app freezes for a minute. And these messages are REALLY long I'm talking about. Apple needs to review this software and make a update.

IF you don't need any of these updates - don't install them - its really that simple - and it will be many more people's rule for apple updates since iOS 6 I bet!
