1.2 software when will apple respond?

The Ipod 1.2 software update has been causing a lot of trouble for many people. There are a ridiculous amount of bugs and it seems like apple hasn't tried to do anything to fix it. I'm just wondering when are they going to acknowledge that something is wrong?

And none for others.

The procress actually starts with the users experiencing problems. In order to acknowledge and fix a problem, it must first be brought to their attention. The more users who report a particular problem, the greater the chances that Apple technicians will will be able to isolate a solution. How many Apple iPod Feedback "Bug Reports" have you issued?

  • When will Apple respond?

When will Apple respond to what appears to be a very negative market response?
As a professional photographer who has purchased Aperture, what are your expectations in the very near future (6 months) for this new application?
Our company recently wrote this review for the Apple Store Aperture web page - it has not been posted.
    "Aperture and the Professional Workflow...
    Written by CJ from Toronto
Aperture is missing 'key' processing tools - as basic as an RGB info palette. Users have no way of confirming (by the numbers) that the image has been neutralized once the white balance tool has been used. Curves have been forsaken for an entirely new adjustment technique found in the histograms/levels section of the app - our company would have preferred the 'curves' approach. The 'Light Table' feature seems to lock-up on a system which exceeds Apple's suggested system configuration.
Our in-house analysis of Aperture=processed images has revealed problematic areas in sharpening, white balance, unwanted clipping and noise after somewhat subtle adjustments. While the program does a very good job of browsing through raw files, we do not recommend Aperture to professional photographers who are looking to deliver the absolute best raw conversions to their clients."
    Is this review accurate?
    dual 2.0 G5's, 4.5 GB memory, ATI x800 Graphics card   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

I don't think it's about Aperture for Apple. Even though I'm sure Apple is expecting more than 4,000 customers for it's professional tool for Photographers (just like Canon sells more than 4,000 cameras for pros) the real opportunity is to win back market share for creative professionals as a whole while selling more 30" screens, G5 Duals and Quads, and all the other accessories.
From speaking with the Aperture product manager I'm clear about several points:
    1. Apple doesn't really how far from the mark Aperture is -- and it will take them a while to accept how much more effort is needed.
    2. They do realize that this is a 1.0 release and that following up quickly with updates that address people's real needs is important.
    3. Apple has a real committment to this product and seeing it succeed.
Time will tell how well and how quickly apple will deliver. For now, I'd only buy Aperture if I got an amazing deal on it (i.e. someone selling it used cheaply!) otherwise I'm going to sit on the sidelines and wait a bit longer.

  • When Will Apple Update iWeb?

Im wondering and asking when will Apple find the time to update Iweb?
They have the potential to have the best software for those that want to make lovely sites.
It would need to be of the Iphoto standard or even slightly more advanced with better updated templates.
Now that we have updated OS and now our retina devices we need that standrd to create.
    Please Apple fill our needs!

    why did they dicontinue?
I haven't seen an official notice of discontinuation. But even if iWeb has been discontinued (as its absence suggests), we're all just users like yourself here so would only be able to speculate on the reasons — and, according to Support Community etiquette, we are to "avoid speculation".

  • Music, Photos, Videos... I can't sync anything for iPhone 4. When will Apple release the new version of iTunes?

I tried every methods up online trying to sync the music, photo, and videos. Nothing is working right now ever since I updated my ios to 7.
This is happening to most of people who owns iPhone 4, 4S, and 5. Does anyone know when will Apple release the new version of iTunes which will fix the sync problem?
What's the point of having a smartphone when you can't sync anything?

  • When will Apple fix the "Show my caller ID" glitch that effects service reception? IOS7 has done nothing if not made it worse

I have downloaded IOS7 specifically to try and solve this annoying glitch that disables the "Show my caller ID" and effects my service reception, I know it effects it as when I have no service I can guarantee that the "show my caller ID" selection is disabled, when I turn it on miraculously I have service once again.
Such a stupid little problem that surely is easily rectified.
    When will Apple fix this????

Thanks for that but unfortunately been there, got the T-shirt, they replaced the phone with a new one, and still happens. I believe from what I have read, it's a software glitch that quite a few people have had problems with.

  • When will apple will allow Malaysian to buy music from itunes?

I feel a bit dissappointed when I cant purchase musics from itunes. when will apple reached Malaysia?

Thanks for your reply King-Penguin.  I can understand the copyright laws etc for music & even movies etc.  I would certainly also like to have access to these but there is also a lot of software in the iStore that we in South Africa are restricted from downloading.  The U.S. iStore has many software titles that the South African iStore does not have.  I have not checked the U.K. iStore yet, do you experience similar restrictions?
We pay a lot more for the Apple products than for similar products of other brands & it seems really unfair in light of these restrictions.  We don't even have a Gaming section in the South African iStore for example.  Every time I purchase another Apple product I just get this feeling that we are getting ripped off a little because we aren't getting the same value out of the devices we buy.  I know I'm not alone when I say this really deserves to have been sorted out by now.  It's been like this for years already.

  • When will Apple allow background processes for the iPhone?

Can't find a suitable subforum so I'll post it here, please refer me to the correct Apple forum otherwise.
When will Apple allow background processes for the iPhone?
When will Apple allow Alerts from 3rd party apps?
Even my first Palm Pilot allowed developers to use Alert beeps.
Why is Apple crippling the iPhone?
If they continue this, Android will be the winner.
Or will the next SDK allow this?

Background processing, simply won't. They already said they won't and explained why.
However, they are currently adding "Push" ability to developers (soon). Originally they did say they were shooting for Sept (but obviously that has passed). Nobody can say "why" it is late or when it will come. Just know it is coming.
Push in case you don't know will let a service (one service) run in the background that apple makes for the phone. that service will ping apple's servers. Apps that want to "run" in the background have to register with that service thus lets say AIM is on your phone, you send a message and close...somebody responds. AIM's servers will send notification to the push service...then the phone will alert you of a notification in the AIM app, you open (thus starts the app again) and it gets the message.

  • The 9.2.1. of iPhoto seems to be a risk to purchase. When will Apple release the fix 9.2.2 or 9.3.1?

The 9.2.1. of iPhoto seems to be a risk to purchase. When will Apple release the fix 9.2.2 or 9.3.1?
I would like it with Photostream, but do not want to risk the issues other users have.
And with these reviews it is crazy of Apple not to update or communicate about it.

    Huh?
9.2.1 is as stable as every other version of iPhoto. Look back through this forum or any other. There are always people who have issues, always. There are no more nor no less with this version. When the next one comes out - be it 9.2.2 or 9.3 or whatever there'll be more posts from other people.
Remember, the people who don't have issues don't post to forums on the Internet.
This is not only true of iPhoto but just about every single piece of software on every OS and the OSes as well
    Welcome to the real world.
    Regards

  • When will Apple fix ITunes to work with Windows 7 (64)?

After many attempts, iTunes (10.5.1) can not synchronized with iPod . If I import musics or create a personal folder, all info will disappear after I close and re-open later iTunes. However works perfectly under Windows XP.  It looks like an incompatibility problem between these two... When will Apple stop denying this and fix the problem?  Two other friends have Windows 7 and they experience the same problem! All programs (iTunes, QuickTime and Bonjour were uninstalled and all folders removed from the computer. Even regestries were cleaned up!....Re-installed twice but iTunes still not function normally as far as synch features.

I don't know about iPod, but I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and other than a current problem accessing the iTunes store, it seems to work OK. I can sync my iPhone fine. Do you have a conflict with another software package you are running, like an anti-virus or firewall? It might not be, but in troubleshooting sync problems with my PC and iPhone previously, I found that I had a conflict with a firewall. The firewall has since been updated and is behaving nicely with iTunes now, but they can sometimes be a problem. Anyways, I hope this helps, but thought I'd mention that my Win7 x64 and iTunes 10.5.1 seems to sync OK in case it helps you to look for other causes to the problem.

  • When will Apple fix the iTunes update msvcr80.dll issue?

Just for the records, my Windows iTunes has become unusable, too. The buggy update 11.4.1 ist still offered to my other windows installations. At least, it should be immediately pulled back.
When will Apple deliever an automated bugfix to this update-mess? I do not intend to de-install and reinstall all my Apple-programs on my Windows machine (in fact, I don't use iTunes on Windows  anymore, my Macs run flawless and there I have the actual database). Apple: you broke it. You fix it.
So far, no official Apple statement to this problem?  (Monday, 27.1. 2014 10:15 MET)
    It is getting time...

These are user to user support forums.  There is no logical reason to expect a response from Apple here.  Frankly Apple rarely releases statements, only software updates.

  • HT202157 When will Apple TV support Amazon Prime Instant Video?

When will Apple TV support Amazon prime instant video?

Most of the YouTube video subtitles are inserted by flash. Unfortunately, ios OS products don't support flash. If you do want to play them with subtitle, maybe you can use a video converter to help you convert YouTube videos to Apple TV. The only thing you should make sure before the conversion is that the videos that you download is bearing the subtitle, then the converted files would have the substitles as well. Hope that would help.

  • When will Apple have a searchable text reader and upload file capability?

When will Apple have a searchable text reader and upload file capability? I have a large text file I need to upload to my iPhone, search, and dial.
    Anything planned?

I had a Palm the I used for work and travel it had a very nice application called DOCUMENTS TO GO. It allowed you to upload, view, and edit .doc, .xls, and .ppt files. this was very handy when traveling. Also, I could sync my palm with my iMac and work PC using bluetooth, took care of the file transfers as well. I would like to have the same capability on my iPhone. I bought it to replace all of my old stuff i need it to the same as my old stuff. I hope that Apple reads this and gets on the ball. Until then I still have to carry my Palm or thumb drive on trips.

I'll never buy another one if I can't text using SMS or MMS.  Is there any hope for a patch or new operating system to fix this issue, or an app to use with iPad Air
