1 have 1 GB RAM on my computer. Firefox is using 750MB and is slooooooooow.

When I shut down Firefox and restart, it uses 125MB of RAM, but within 45 minutes it is at 350MB and in 2 hrs it increases to 750MB, effectively locking my computer up.

Which files and folders take up that much space?
Are there any multiple files with a number in the Firefox Profile Folder that can accommodate for this amount of space taken?

I am a software dev and I wish to have my application open links in Firefox.
Using ShellExecute(), i can do with with commandlines like:
firefox.exe http://support.mozilla.org
But I also want the option to open the link in private mode.
I am able to start firefox in private mode by doing this:
firefox.exe -private
However, if I add a link to the command line
firefox.exe -private http://support.mozilla.org
I get strange results.
If firefox is not running, it launches 2 copies of the application.
One that opens in private mode and the other opens in normal mode and goes to the URL specified.
If firefox is already running, it just opens the URL in a new tab.
No private mode instance is launched.
Am I using the command-line syntax incorrectly?

It will never work if Firefox is already running as Firefox will use the already opened Firefox instance. 
In that case only using a separate profile will work.
You can try to specify the -url switch as well.
*firefox.exe -private -url http://support.mozilla.org
You can also look at the -new-tab switch.
*firefox.exe -private -new-tab http://support.mozilla.org
*https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Command_Line_Options

All iWork apps allow you to save your documents on your computer. You will be able to choose the destination when you want to save a document.
You can also disable iCloud for some apps. To do that, go to System Preferences -> iCloud, press "Options" next to "iCloud Drive" and disable the apps you want to.
If you have lost your old documents, you should have a backup that you made before upgrading to OS X Yosemite, so you only have to restore it.

That's called the "extended desktop mode". Your screen is logically extended to the right (by default). Drag an application off the right side of your MBair screen and it'll appear on the TV.
You can also toggle between extended desktop and mirror mode by pressing CMD F1.
Visit all the settings in System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement tab.

I upgraded to Lion, no problems, but when I visit a website- for example my bank, or youtube, or any site I have to log into, my computer is no longer recognized and I have to always sign in. Even if I check the box to remember my computer it won't.

My computer is no longer recognized when I visit websites, even if I check the "remember my computer" box. Once I navigate away from the page and then go back, I have to re-sign in. It is really annoying with my banking site, because I have to answer the security questions everytime I log in.

Sometimes, sites divide their content and login logic over multiple servers. In that case, the sites may not recognize that you have logged in if you block third party cookies. Can you check your cookie settings, as described in this article: [[Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them]].
During your earlier troubleshooting, did you try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode to rule out an extension as the potential culprit? More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled ''(Flash and other plugins still run)''
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

I have Windows 7 64 Bit. Firefox 4.o loaded and ran fine for 3 days and now I can't get it to open

The reason I loaded 4.0 is because the same thing happened to 3.6. I'm not sure if something in my computer (Firewall, Anti-virus, malware, etc.) may be stopping it or if it's just Windows proprietary nature gumming up the works. I ran the compatibility program a few times and got it to work, but now even that does no good. I have experienced the same thing with other programs thsat used to work perfectly so while the problem may not be yours I am asking for your help because I can get no assistance from any other venue. Microsoft support, to me, is cryptic at best and no help. When it's working, I love the way Firefox functions and I hate to be forced to use Explorer just because Windows will let nothing else function! Your help would be appreciated!

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie that you must allow: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions"
Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the 'Cookies' and the 'Site Preferences'.

Check if you still have a profiles.ini file left if you've only deleted the Firefox profile folder:

If you still have a profiles.ini file, but the profile folder is gone then delete the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile.

I have just upgraded my Mac to Firefox 9.0.1 and it has made my bookmark menus far too wide and renedered them almost unusable! What the?

User groups suggest I go through all my bookmarks shortening the URLs. I don't think so. I have way too many and should not have to do this. Why did version 9.0.1 of Firefox decide that my bookmarks menu needed to be wider when the previous version deemed it okay to have the short/ narrower style?

That can be caused by having some bookmarks with a long title in the main Bookmarks menu. 
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name. 
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.

I'm a teacher using an epson hdmi capable projector in my class. I'd like to play a video (youtube, TED, etc) to a large class, but as soon as I use airplay, the apple tv mirrors my iPad to the projector, and while the video is fine, the audio is horrible, as it is also mirrored to the epson projector, which has tiny, horrible speakers. Is there any way to run the audio through the iPad, where I can connect my computer speakers through the headphone jack? I believe if you go to settings> sounds... you can select where you want the sound to come from. So there you can set it to the "internal speakers" and then plug in your computer speakers.
