To delete everything from the iPhoto Library select all photos in the "Photos" view and press the "delete ⌫" key.
You cannot delete your photos without effecting the Facebook albums, if you are syncing your iPhoto library albums to Facebook. See Terence Devlin's post here:

The only way to delete photos from your iPhoto library without removing them from your Facebook albums would be to sign out of Facebook first by deleting the Facebook account from your iPhoto Preferences:

Important: If you delete photos and albums from iPhoto, they’re deleted from your Facebook page, along with any posted comments. You can’t undo this action. To delete photos and albums from iPhoto without deleting them from Facebook, first remove the Facebook account from iPhoto. Choose iPhoto > Preferences, and then click Accounts. Click to select the Facebook account (below the Accounts subhead on the left), and then click the Delete button in the lower-left corner of the Accounts pane.

How can I transfer video from iMovie 2.0 on iOS7 to my PC without using the share tool?
I'm trying to get a large video (~7.5GB) from iMovie to transfer to my PC for editing. Being that I am using a 16GB iPhone 5s, this seems to be impossible with the share tool (the square with an up arrow coming out of it) because iMovie wants to duplicate the video to either the camera roll or some other medium which won't fit on my device. Is there any way (hack or otherwise) that I can get my video safely to the computer?

The Mac IIci is not even powering on at all. Tried again with wih a tested power cable and no luck.
I think it's best that take this issue to the Older Hardware Community. Not only did I see a fair number of replacement parts for the IIci avaiable online, but there also vintage external floppy drives as well. I'm not giving up.

If I have 500 songs in my library and I delete 25 of them, will they stay in my itunes match? will I be able to listen to them anytime? or do I have to keep a huge library with all my songs in one computer?

I am a very relieved man. I lost my entire library on a 64gb SD card that got damaged sticking out of my macbook air (PS - Bad design apple - the card shouldnt stick out so much).

Instead of removing the music from the cloud or the iTunes library why not shuffle your music using a Smart Playlist which excludes the holiday music, or tracks that are not checked. For example, use this very simple Smart Playlist:

There are two ways that should work. When you are in the trash folder, you can swipe on the email in the list - left to right - and a red Delete button should pop up. Or you can select - Edit - at the top of the list of messages and then select the message and tap delete.
Not sure exactly how this works - but if you have restrictions enabled - especially since you let your grandchild use the device - that may be restricting what you can do in the mail app. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions. If you have it set to on - turn it off or see if you have mail restricted. -

Why not? Are there error messages? Where are the files located? Why are you deleting MicroSoft Word files?

So here is everything. I work in a public place and I allow my PC to be used at my work because some of my peers are a little light on funds. I created a second profile at work for them but I realized one day someone got into my profile. I thought ok no biggie ill just hide my pertinent work files. Im not a great PC kind of guy so I opened the finder and opened the Library folder. Then I created a new file in there called (other crap) and placed all my HR paperwork in that file. This was when I had snow leaopard. I just upgraded to the new OS but now when I open the Finder there is no Library folder and all of my HR paperwork is now gone. This will be a nightmare for me if I cannot get this file back. Can someone please help me? Is there a way to revert back or something?
Nothing has been deleted.
The Library folder is just hidden now. Hold down the Option key while clicking on Go in the Finder's menu and you'll see that you can open the Library folder.
Once opened, drag the folder to the Finder's sidebar, so that you open it more easily next time. -

If you mean pics that you synced to your iphone form your computer, then delete them the same way. Open itunes, connect iphone, select what you want to be on your iphone, sync. -

You must enable iTunes Match on the new computer. The best way to accomplish what you want to do is to create a new, empty library by launching iTunes while holding down the Option key (Shift on Windows) and choosing "new library." How do you import photos from a library on an external drive to the current library running in iPhoto? I have a few different pictures in each library and would like to have all my pictures in both libraries. The library on the external drive is my backup. I would appreciate any help.
Depends on exactly what you want to do.
Just move some of the Photos? FIle -> Export from one and export the shots to the Finder. Then import them to the other.

Move the photos and all versions and metadata: use iPhoto Library Manager it's the only way to do this while preserving everything. Merge two Libraries into one?
If you have Aperture 3.3 or later and iPhoto 9.3 or later you can merge libraries with Aperture.
Otherwise the only way to merge Libraries is with the paid ($20) version of iPhoto Library Manager -

DVDs are encoded into MPEG2, which iMovie cannot edit. So you need to convert the DVD back to something else. For highest quality, I recommend that you convert the DVD to Apple Intermediate Codec. There is a free tool called MPEG Streamclip that will do this. You will also need to install the Apple QuickTIme MPEG2 Playback Component.
Here are the details.
1) Download and install the Apple MPEG2 QuickTime Component ($20) - available online from Apple.
2) Download and install MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5 (free).
3) Start MPEG Streamclip
4) Insert your DVD into your Mac. If DVD Player or Front Row starts automatically quit those.
5) Open a Finder window. Navigate to your DVD to the Video_TS folder.
6) Drag the .VOB files from the Video_TS folder and drop then into MPEG Streamclip.
7) If MPEG Streamclip offers to fix timecode breaks, say yes.
8) Use FILE/EXPORT TO QUICKTIME to convert the files to Apple Intermediate Codec (or h.264 if you prefer)
9a) Optional: You can deinterlace your footage in this step, if you like
9b) optional: If you know the date and or time of the footage, name your file
clip-yyyy-mm-dd hh;mm;ss
(let mpeg streamclip provide the extension). This will provide metadata that iMovie will use to put the event in the right year and month.
9c) Optional: If you don't want to make one huge clip out of your DVD, you can make smaller clips by using MPEG Streamclip. Move the cursor to the "in" point of the clip, and press i. Move the cursor to the "Out" point of the clip, and press o. Then do steps 8 through 10 and repeat until you have done this for all clips you want.
10) Save the resulting file in a place where you can find it, like your Desktop.
11) Open iMovie.
12) In iMovie, choose FILE/IMPORT/From File and choose the file you saved in steps 8, 9, 10.
13) iMovie will generate thumbnails and you can edit. -

Welcome to the Apple Community Diane.
I find that shared video can be troublesome, a few haven't appeared to work as you describe but have done when I've looked at a later date. Hopefully they will work if you give them a bit longer. perhaps it would be a good idea if you make sure they are working before deleting them from the camera roll. -

Nope I am using the same Photo Library, not the camera roll and by the looks of it you don't have your iphone updated to the newst version because I have an extra field in the bottom bar for photostreaming.
When I go in any of the above folders I can remove pictures as well as you can see in the pictures below!?

Connect your device to your computer, open iTunes, go to the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings, uncheck the folder containing the photos you want to remove (or to remove them all, uncheck "Sync Photos"), then click Apply at the bottom to sync your device. If you only want to remove individual photos rather than the entire folder, move them out of the folder on your computer, then sync.
