1. Is there an add-on to add a 2nd "Home" icon on the toolbar?

1. In a previous version Firefox 3.5.x there was an add-on called Throbber Button 1.1 that enabled me to have a 2nd icon that would also take me to the Home Page. Is there a replacement for this app for ver 9?
2. Is it possible to colorize the "Go back and Go Forward" arrows?
3. Is it possible to have the "Open new tab" on the Navigation Bar which use to be near the X on each tab?
Thanks so much. I appreciate your response.

Cor-el... again thank you for your help. It's truly appreciated. I did not see a place to close this post.

What you are seeing is how Safari works now in iOS 5. There is no way to get that icon in Safari now. There other much better browsers available in the App Store. Look at iCab Mobile, Mercury, Atomic, ....
I have been running iOS 5x for so long now, that I don't even remember if that icon did appear in earlier iOS versions

How do i add the home icon to the dock

    Hello,

  • Is there a way to have the 'new tab' icon on the toolbar AND have the "new tab" button at the right end of my tabs, as before? It seems to be either/or.

Under the previous version of Firefox I had the "new tab" option in both locations. When I upgraded, the one at the end of the tab line had disappeared. I used the suggestion from the forum to reset to default and it did reappear, but the icon in the toolbar had disappeared. Since there is no + in the customization window I cannot place a new one, and if I drag and drop from the tab bar it moves to the toolbar, but will not duplicate itself. I use either of these interchangeably, and having only one or the other is a real annoyance, and does slow me down when doing multiple searches or otherwise utilizing multiple tabs.

Hi, I have a similar problem with 12.0 of Firefox. The 'Add New Tab' tab has moved from the righthand end of open tabs to the left hand end.
If I right click on an empty tab area and select customize the "Add New Tab' tab disappears and an Add New Tab icon appears at the right hand end. I can drag and drop this icon into the Customize Toolbar window.
However if I drag it from the window back to the Tab toolbar area on the right. It initially appears on the right. Then clicking 'Done' on the Customize Toolbar window converts the icon to a tab but places it back at the left hand end of the tabs.
I'm sure this didn't happen before - so it's a possibility I have messed something up but I can't seem to correct it?

  • Add an "save as" icon to the toolbar

I want to add on the toolbar line an icon that I had put on the other day so I can "save as". Its gone now for some reason but I can't seem to find it again so I can re-install it.
The icon for this does NOT appear in the "Customize Toolbar" box

You can add one with the Print Preview Button add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/print-preview-button

  • When i click the star icon on the toolbar it does not add the site to my bookmarks, how can i solve this problem

i dont seem able to add a web site to my bookmarks,i click the star
icon+the site is not added to my bookmarks how do i do this?

If you revisit a site that you tried to bookmark, is the star yellow?
If the star is yellow, the site has been bookmarked. Clicking on the star once saves the bookmark in the "Unsorted bookmarks" folder which is not visible in the bookmarks menu, clicking on the star a second time allows you to edit the bookmark so you can move it to the folder of your choice. See the [[bookmarks]] article for further details.
If the site is not being bookmarked at all, see the [[bookmarks not saved]] article for details of how to resole this issue.

  • I enabled my bookmarks toolbar (FF hides it by default) , but It is no longer there. Even when I go into view and check bookmarks, the toolbar fails to appear. How do I remedy this?

This has never occurred before. I have never had a problem with Firefox. I use my bookmarks toolbar all the time, so I noticed immediately when I sat down that it was gone. I tried going the check mark route and it did nothing. I also tried right clicking the toolbar area to see what I could do, but again with the check marks. Whenever I check the bookmarks toolbar nothing happens except the bookmarks button disappears from beside the homepage button. Please help me resolve this before I get too frustrated.
    Thank You,
    JM

Check that you still have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * Make sure that you have the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * Check in "View > Toolbars > Customize" that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize window onto the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" then click the "Restore Default Set" button

  • How do I add a space to the toolbar in Firefox 29.0? I can grab a space from empty areas and move it around, but where do I find a "space" icon to ADD a space?

It has been useful in past versions of Firefox to be able to add (a) space(s) between icons on the toolbar in order to create groups of icons and/or separate icons by class or function. In Firefox 29.0, I discovered how to "grab" (click and drag) a space from open areas on the toolbar and move it to another part of the toolbar. But how can I add spaces to the toolbar? In past versions, there used to be a space icon in the customize menu set that could be dragged to the toolbar for that purpose.

You can get around this problem by installing the "Classic Theme Restorer Add-on" available at: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-make-new-firefox-look-like-old-firefox
While returning the squared-off look to your tabs, instead of the newer, rounded version - it also gives returns the option to add spaces; variable size spaces, and separators to your tool-bars.

  • How to add a "new" icon to the Mail toolbar?

When I open an email in Apple Mail, I often file it in one of many folders in the left-hand pane. I frequently use two monitors, and if reading mail on the attached monitor, it becomes tiresome to keep returning to the menu on the original monitor to select Message > Move to > (find folder and drop it in) ... for that matter, it is tiresome to return to the menu bar on the same monitor, as well.
Of course, my other option is drag and drop after closing the email or reading it without opening to allow me to select it and drag it to the correct folder.
My preferred solution would be to insert a "Move" icon on the toolbar and after reading the email, select the icon which would provide the same drop down list of folders as Message > Move to > . However, after the email is dropped in the folder the next (or previous) email would open in its place, depending on how I selected the configuration for this option.
Is this an operation I could create in Applescript, or is this a bit more complex than Applescript is meant to handle? I have not been successful locating a plugin for Mail to accomplish this task.
Being a web designer, I have a scripting (javascript, PHP, etc) background in addition to a past life as a programmer. This is something I would like to tackle myself if reasonable; however, I would like to know what I am up against. If I need to learn a bit of Cocoa and the IDE, so be it.
Thank you in advance for any advice and/or assistance.

I have several rules moving targeted emails into specific folders; however, this does not accomplish the task I am attempting to perform. The "control-click" only works on unopened emails, and I prefer not to close the email to have to move it.
    This question is really two-fold:
    1) Can I place an icon on the toolbar if that icon is not an available choice in the "Customize Toolbar" selection from control-clicking on the toolbar? or can I add an icon to the available choices?
I'm quite sure that the answer is no. as i said if it's possible it would require hacking Mail and you'd have to ask in the Developers forum (it's under OS X technologies) about that.
    2) Is there a way to configure Mail so when I Delete or Move an open email, instead of the email just disappearing, the "next" or "previous" email in the Inbox would open in its place?
    no.

  • How can I add the hard drive icon to the menu bar on a MBPr

How can I add the hard drive icon to the menu bar on a MBPr?  I have downloaded Google Earth and it wants me to drag it to the hard drive for install. I was able to display the icon but now I would like to put it on the menu bar. Is this possible? Or can I add it to the hardware section under system preferences?
I'm a new Apple user, coming out of the dark ages of a lifetime in the PC Windows world.
    Thanks

It's on your Desktop, is it not? You cannot put it on the menubar through OS X although you may find third-party utilities that will. If you want it on the Desktop:
Select Preferences from the Finder's Finder menu and check the desired boxes:
Click on the Sidebar icon in the toolbar to set what you want displayed in the Sidebar.

  • Is it possible to show add-ons as icons on the Firefox toolbar?

I've downloaded a couple of add-ons e.g. print/preview, screen grabber and wonder if these can be shown as icons on the toolbar instead of having to follow a menu/sb-menu route, which is a bit of a faff.
