1 itune account...2 user id's for pc....how do i move songs between the 2

I have 1 itune account, but 3 people that use it. My son has his own pc no problems, but me and my wife share a laptop and each of us has our own user i.d. for the laptop. my problem is she downloaded a song in my itune and she wants it on hers. how can i do that without wasting a cdrw

Hi Emma. Where are the songs? Only on the ipod? On the ipod and in the itunes libary of the computer? "but then when I go into my own library itunes doesn't see them" Where exactly is your library? Do you have multiple user accounts on the computer? What is the size of the itunes folder if you go into the default music location on the computer:
xp: start-->my music
vista and 7: start-->music
mac osx: finder-->(your username)-->music.
If you clear those things up, resolving the issue will be a breeze.

How do you move songs from the 'iTunes library to 'Jenni's iPod Selection'?

I have 2 folders with songs in them: iTunes Library and Jenni's iPod Selection. Whenever I download music, they are automatically saved in the 'iTunes Library' folder. But when I hook up my iPod to download them into the iPod, the songs are downloaded from the 'Jenni's iPod Selection' folder. Most of the songs are in the iTunes Library folder... Can someone help me?

Song that are imported from CD or downloaded into iTunes are always going to be in iTunes music folder. Can't change this.
Any reason you don't want this and you have music stored in "Jenni's iPod Selection"?
Why not add it all to the iTunes music folder and create a playlist called "Jenni's iPod Selection".

Please can someone tell me how i delete an iTunes account? The one i use all the time is registered to my old work address, i tried to change the Apple ID to my current hotmail account however it told me this already exists?! I need to cancel the current hotmail account so i can use that email address for my actual iTunes account that is used.

As Niel stated, you cannot merge them.
You can keep the purchased items in your iTunes library and use them with no issues.
Just pick one of the AppleIDs and stick with that one.

No. Its not possible.
Alternatively, create another user account in your computer. Install iTunes in that account with the library you wish to sync.

Unfortunately there's no way to get back the contacts you deleted unless he backed them up somewhere else. He'll just have to recreate them. This happened because you are both syncing contacts with a shared iCloud account. When you do this, the synced data is merged and any actions you take on one phone (such as deleting contacts) is also reflected on the other. To fix this you both need to have separate iCloud accounts (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores). To do this, on your phone go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The other phone will not be effected by this.) Next, set up a new iCloud account on your phone using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload your data to your new account. At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting the your husband's contacts from your account, and vice versa). These changes will be reflected on each phone. When finished you will have individual iCloud accounts with just your own data on them.

You do not merge libraries.
iDevices sync to one and only one computer.
If you want a single library, you manually move the content from one library to another... all content will still be associated with the Apple ID it was acquired with.

iPads sync to 1 computer only.
All media and apps are tied to the Apple ID that purchased them.
Without your relatives ID and password, you cannot update any of the Apps.
I am pretty certain he is also violating Apples terms of service by giving you the apps.

If you mean that you don't have a rescue email address set up on your account as described on the page that you posted from (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

If you are not getting the email, you can contact Apple Support to have your Security Questions reset:
ACCOUNT SECURITY CONTACT NUMBERS
Once you get them reset, check your Rescue Email address on Manage Your Apple ID to make sure it is still a functional address. It is not the same as your primary or alternate address.

Open the Mac App Store and try purchasing Mountain Lion 10.8. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU with at least 2GB of RAM, and if it does, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion 10.7.

Apple has no provisions for this. You cannot merge multiple Apple ID's into one ID. Content is always tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase it.
