1 material to be planned as 2 different

Hello
I think, I do have a unique business scenario.
I do have a material number which is imported.
Which I import the and sell in domestic market and as well as I sell to my foreign customers (Not a DSO scenario).
the requirement is, I want to plan my demand separately as 2 different material when my MRP runs to show the demand for domestic and the demand for my foreign customers.
Any suggestion would be appricieated with good points.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Bala,
Configure this material for split valuation  with one valuation type as domestic & other as foreign. Now when SO is created you have to mention valuation type as domestic or foreign.Once you do this seperate requirement will be seen in the system,
Please try,

  • Planning plant is different from maintenance plant

    Hi,
For my client, Maintenance planning is done at head office which located at different place and actual maintenance done at another location (maintenance plant).
What is the effect if planning plant is different from maintenance plant?
    Can somebody help me.
    Thanks in adv.
    R.D.I

    Hi
As per the feedback given by you no need to create a separate planning plant. You create only one plant & planning plant will be the same plant only. You can differentiate the head office & the local office by different planner groups. If you create a different planning plant(head office) aslo there wont be any problem(if you wont restrict by authorisation). Plannig plant functionality is used in case of multiple plants whose maintenace is carried out by a single plant(plannig plant) so that it can plan the material requirement of all the plants apart from functionality of authorisation control & reporting. I think in your case you can go ahead with single plant.

  • MTO material - Combine three planned orders into one process order

    Hi Gurus,
Does anyone know if and how I can convert three planned orders of the same material into one process order?
    So:
    1.
Sales order 1 (material X) --> generates Planned order 1
Sales order 2 (material X) --> generates Planned order 2
Sales order 3 (material X) --> generates Planned order 3
    2.
    Process orders 1,2,3 (material X) --> Process order 1
    3.
Process order 1 --> reserved sales order stock for sales orders 1,2 and 3

    M,
One process order cannot create Sales Order Stock for three different sales order items.  A single process order can produce Sales order stock for AT MOST 1 sales order/item.
This scenario can be achieved under a Make to Stock environment, where the production order creates 'generic' stock (not sales order specific).

  • CM40 dispatch planned order among different work centers

    Hi
we have a finish material ,which can be manufactured using 3 different work centers. Then I create 3 production versions to link each work center .
    PV1   Routing 1(work center1)   BOM 1    production line:work center1
    PV2   Routing 1(work center2)   BOM 1    production line:work center2
    PV3   Routing 1(work center3)   BOM 1    production line:work center3
Is it possible to create a batch job to dispatch planned order between work centers in CM40?I am able to manually dispatch planned orders between different work centers in CM22..
CM40 use the same selection/strategy profile as CM22 and the planned orders are dispatched to other period if current period get overload..But I expect CM40 to dispatch the planned orders to other available work centers..Anyone has any suggestions?
       thanks very much..

  • Can we plan RM & FG Material in MRP planning in a single plant

    Hi Sap Gurus,
I have one doubt my client has a requirement
client plans fg (make to stock) material by putting PIR Correspondingly Raw material planed and all raw material having coverage profile according to that requirement got generated.
now client wants to plan the same raw material separately in same plant so i have made that making strategy type 11 in raw material.after that  i run  mrp after i got requirement considering the coverage profile.
but my clients want for fg  material requirement which flows to raw material there coverage profile should be considered but in case of raw material which are plan separately is there coverage not consider is it possible do so
if possible can any body put some light on it.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sandeep KUMAR Praharaj

    Hello Adelino
Strategy 10 is a special business case without consumption and only with the PIR reduction during the delivery (goods issue). You can see in customizing OPPS that both requirements KSL and LFS are set with "No consumption with customer requirements". In this case, BAdI MD_PIR_FLEX_CONS is not called.
The BAdI can be used with strategy 40, so please make sure that the consumption indicator of the PIR is set to '4 - Flexible Consumption for Different MRP Elements (BAdI)'.

  • How to use the direct material indicator in Plan Driven Procurement?

    Dear Experts,
How the system determine the procurement as direct material procurement in Plan driven scenario? In case of manual shopping cart, the system determines the direct material /indirect material procurement based on the check box 'Order as direct material'
    indicator.
Now in case of plan driven procurement, where the requisition comes from ECC system, there is no way to indicate in the MM system for direct material?
Could you please enlighten me here?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi Ranjan,
In case of manual shopping cart, system at that point does not know whether the material procured has inventory management maintained or material valuation. Hence we need to specify option of 'Order as direct material'.
But when requisition is created in ECC system, SAP system already is aware of direct procurement since material used will have material master / Inventory management / Material valuation / Storage location etc maintained. And the info or some indicator will be sent to front end SRM system accordingly.
Moreover it does not really matter for front-end SRM system to check whether it's a direct or indirect procurement since all procurement processes followed in SRM will be exactly same.
Hope this provides some kind of understanding for your questions.

  • How to generate SNP planned order with different category

Our SNP system receives Forecast and Salse Order from DP system.
and we'd like to generate SNP planned order with different category..for example, 'AI' for Forecast Demand and 'AL' for Sales Order..
currently, If we run CTM, system generate SNP planned order with the
    same category 'AI'..
another system(APS) in Our company receives planned order from SNP
and they want to receive planned order for forecast and planned order for sales order seperately..

It is not directly achievable however can be done through BADIs and two CTM profile. I am assuming that sales orders are planned ahead of Forecast demands. So have two CTM profiles - one for Sales Orders (regenerative mode) and the other for Forecast Demands (net change mode). You may have to invoke two BADIs in the first run for Sales Orders - one that changes master data by putting a temperory Forecast Horizon in SNP2 tab (BADI /sapapo/ctm_matloc). The other BADI (BADI /sapapo/ctm_orders) changes the ATP category just before saving. in the second run though you just need to run the latter BADI by saving it in the ATP category required. BADIs can be invoked based on CTM profiles used.

  • Material and SKU planning

    Hi,
I understand material is the word used by manufacturer for a finished good and the same finished good is called SKU by retailer. Apart from this, are there really any differences in the planning between these two?
    Thanks.

    Visu,
    A different explaination on "SKU",
Stock keeping unit (SKU) is an identification, usually alphanumeric, of a particular product that allows it to be tracked for inventory purposes. Typically, an SKU is associated with any purchasable item in a store or catalog. An SKU is not the same as a product model number from a manufacturer, although the model number could form all or part of the SKU. The SKU is established by the merchant.

  • Explain plan results are different in SQL Developer than SQL Plus

    My Environment:
    SQL Developer 1.0.0.15.27
Platform where SQL Developer is running: Windows XP 2002 SP2
    Oracle Database and Client 9.2.0.7
    Optimizer_mode: FIRST_ROWS
I have the following SQL statement:
    SELECT a1.comp_id
    FROM temp_au_company a0, au_company a1
    WHERE :b2 = a0.temp_emp_code
    AND a0.comp_id = a1.comp_id
    AND a0.sls_terr_code != a1.sls_terr_code
    AND a1.last_mdfy_date > :b1
When I run an Explain in SQL Developer I get the following access path (which is the one I really want):
SELECT STATEMENT                          TABLE ACCESS(BY INDEX ROWID) FEDLINK.AU_COMPANY          NESTED LOOPS                                   INDEX(RANGE SCAN)
    FEDLINK.UX2_TEMP_AU_COMPANY
              INDEX(RANGE SCAN) FEDLINK.PX1_COMPANY
However, when I execute the statement with sql_trace turned on and use tkprof to generate the actual access path, the statement executes as follows (which is WAY more expensive):
call count cpu elapsed disk query current rows
    Parse 1 0.00 0.00 0 0 0 0
    Execute 1 0.00 0.00 0 0 0 0
    Fetch 1 3.58 6.68 28136 29232 0 0
    total 3 3.58 6.69 28136 29232 0 0
Misses in library cache during parse: 1
    Optimizer goal: FIRST_ROWS
Parsing user id: 979 (FEDLINK) (recursive depth: 1)
    Rows Row Source Operation
    0 NESTED LOOPS
    0 TABLE ACCESS FULL AU_COMPANY
0 INDEX RANGE SCAN UX2_TEMP_AU_COMPANY (object id 49783)
Notice the FULL access of au_company.
I understand that SQL Developer has nothing to do with why the statement executed the way it did, but why is the Explain in SQL Developer different than the actual execution plan?
Added note....when I run the explain in SQL Plus it is the same as the actual execution. Here is the explain from SQL Plus:
    explain plan for SELECT a1.comp_id
    FROM temp_au_company a0, au_company a1
    WHERE '1' = a0.temp_emp_code
    AND a0.comp_id = a1.comp_id
    AND a0.sls_terr_code != a1.sls_terr_code
    AND a1.last_mdfy_date > '01-MAY-2006';
    PLAN_TABLE_OUTPUT
    | Id | Operation | Name | Rows | Bytes | Cost |
    | 0 | SELECT STATEMENT | | 2 | 76 | 2597 |
    | 1 | NESTED LOOPS | | 2 | 76 | 2597 |
    | 2 | TABLE ACCESS FULL | AU_COMPANY | 2 | 42 | 2595 |
    | 3 | INDEX RANGE SCAN | UX2_TEMP_AU_COMPANY | 1 | 17 | 2
    Thanks,
    Brenda

The explain is different (full scan of au_company in SQL Plus / index access in SQL Developer) even when I use variables in SQL Plus. Here is the output for SQL Plus using variables instead of literals:
    SQL> variable b1 varchar2
    SQL> variable b2 char
SQL> explain plan for SELECT a1.comp_id
    2 FROM temp_au_company a0, au_company a1
    3 WHERE :b2 = a0.temp_emp_code
    4 AND a0.comp_id = a1.comp_id
    5 AND a0.sls_terr_code != a1.sls_terr_code
    6 AND a1.last_mdfy_date > :b1
    7 /
    Explained.
    PLAN_TABLE_OUTPUT
    | Id | Operation | Name | Rows | Bytes | Cost |
    | 0 | SELECT STATEMENT | | 3184 | 118K| 2995 |
    | 1 | HASH JOIN | | 3184 | 118K| 2995 |
    | 2 | INDEX RANGE SCAN | UX2_TEMP_AU_COMPANY | 3187 | 54179 | 3 |

Any other ideas? They should be the same.

  • Free of cost material but the planned delivery cost is to be invoiced

    Hi,
We are having a scenario where in we receive material free of cost but have to pay for the delivery cost to the vendor.
We are creating Purchase order with the "free item" checked and we are maintaining the freight condition at the header level as at the item level as soon as you check the free item check box, the conditions tab disappears.
Secondly if we are maintaining planned delivery at the header level it requires the Invoice check box to be checked. Which is not possible to maintain with the free check box ticked.
Have maintained the vendor master without the GR based IV tick.
Request to kindly do let us know where have we missed out.
    Regards,
    mahesh.

one of the way out of this issue is
give a heavy discount on that material from vendor and put the price of material such as to do the frieght .but if u r having moving average price for that material thenit is not at all preffered

  • List of material for those planning file entry is generated through MDAB.

    Hi Friends,
Can we get a list of materials for those planning file entry is generated through background job using t-code MDAB.
Right now we can find the count of material only ...

    Hi ,
    Thanks for looking into this.
In MDRE  we can only get this message :
Number of set planning file entries :  _____
And in table DBVM we can get the complete list of material irrespective of fact that Planning file entry is earlier maintained or not.
I only want to find the material list whose entry is not there but maintained by the batch job.
