1 monitor used, but 2 detected

When video drivers are installed the system detects the monitor twice, but I'm only using one. This occurs with the MSI supplied drivers or the latest Nvidia dirvers for winME.
Also, the screen size/colors stays fixed at 640X480 and 16 bit. Searching online, I found a registry setting that disables the second monitor (HKLM\software\Nvdia Corporation\Global\System-DWORD TwinViewDisabled=1) but this did not solve the screen size/colors problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can try:
- reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off an then backon your router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

Trying to connect my Macbook Pro with an external Monitor - Using VGA - DVI

Please dont classify me as dumb but every-time i need to connect my MBP to an external monitor or projector i cant
It just doesn't work... I plug it in using all the right connectors - DVI-VGA or the other way around... Anyway - i get a blue screen which tricks me... =]
After the blue screen i go straight to the page i was on before connecting the monitor...! =[
Anyway.. are there any settings i need to adjust.... =]
If there is anything that you guys know of please inform me because i am in need to use a Monitor frequently but so far i havn't been able to do it seen as though i don't know what to do.. Ive watched tutorials and have done exactly what they've told me but it still wont display anything on the external monitor. Ive used 2 MBP's - Both i've had issues with connecting them to an external display. i know its only a minor change i need to make in System preferences but i dont know which one it is...

I assume that you mean the blue screen is on your monitor, not your MBP. If this is the case, go to system preferences and click on displays, when the pop up box appears, click on "detect displays". See if that helps.

PB G4 1GHz - External Monitor flashing but eventually works

Something weird is going on with my Powerbook when I connect it to an external monitor.
When I plug in the monitor the Powerbook will detect the external display, but the external monitor will flash on and off, intermittently displaying the screen, but then cutting out.
With enough switching between mirrored and extended mode, the monitor will external will eventually work and the image will stay put. But if the computer goes to sleep, the whole thing happens again.
Is this just my video card acting up (no solution possible) or are there monitor 'drivers' out there?

Check if the connections are loose or get a new cable.
Do you use DVI-D (Stable) or VGA (Don't know) or VGA w/VGA to DVI-D transformer(Unstable: I use it for connecting my TV to my PowerBook)

Monitor software wouldn't detect WVC54GCA

Guys, I'm really frustrated here.
I just got WVC54GCA today. Configured it. And it worked fine for about an hour. I could see the video on Monitor software and on camera web address. Than I could only access video through internal camera web site under it's IP address but the Monitor software delieverd on the CD wouldn;t detect the camera at all.
I had to restart the computer. Now Monitor doesn;t see the camera, I can't enter camera through web nor is it visible in my network devices.
When I restarted the device I noticed that on my router (WAG200G) it appeared with new IP address and the previous IP address is still there in the DHCP client table. Despite the fact that it is visible in DHCP table I still can;t connect to neither IP addresses of the camera nor is it visible in my Network under Windows.
Nothing works now.
I thought that this is one of those things that you configure and forget about.
Please help if you know how to.

P.S. Quick update. I have disconnected the camera again and powered it back on. Now I can access the video through web but Monitor software wouldn't detect the camera.
P.S. 1.
I noticed now that everything went back to nromal when I moved the camera closer to the router. When I first connected it it was getting signal from the router. Than I moved it elswere when I'm using Linksys range expander and everything gradually stoped working. Now when I moved it back closer to the router it works again. My understanding was that range expander should not interfere with hardware like that. I'm using all sorts of wireless devices and never had problem like this.

Yup. You should set the ip address manually on your router and forward the port manually on your router. I've forwarded ports 1024, 554 (for remote streaming) and 5000 to the static ip on my camera; works like a charm.
Port forwarding is on the Applications and Gaming tab on my WRT54G2 and the static ip assignment is on the Basic Settings tab on the camera.
On the camera, change the configuration type to Fixed IP Address and give the camera an ip address outside the range of the dhcp on the router. For instance, my router's dhcp range is 192.168.1.100 to 149; any address outside this range is fine for a static ip address.
You may want to configure the range extender that way, too, to ensure that the IP's don't get changed when the router's dhcp address lease expires.
Check this out and let me know if it works...I have mine set up this way and I have zero issues with the camera falling off the network now.

My computer says that I have 3 monitors connected but I only have 2 connected.

Windows 8 is saying that I have 3 monitors connected but I only connected 2. If recognizes a 3rd monitor that is really small and I don't know why. I have my 2nd monitor setup to be an extention of the 1st one and if I move my mouse all the way to the end
of the 2nd monitor my mouse is able to move off screen. I'm assuming this is because the computer detects the 3rd monitor to be there but like I said I only own 2 monitors and have only 2 connected. This is very annoying because sometimes things get placed
on the 3rd monitor and I can't move them to the other monitors because I can't see how to move it because I only connected 2 monitors and for some reason windows detects another even though there is nothing there. I just recently installed a new graphics card
and before it I didn't have one and my VGA and DVI cables connected to the ports that came on the mother board. When I had it setup like that it was fine but ever since I installed the graphics card it detects 3 monitors when I only want to use 2.

Try to remove all unnecessary hardware, and use Win+P to change screen input option.
If the issue persists, try to create another administrator account and login for test.

HDTV as external monitor using ethernet connection

Hello,
I want to connect my HDTV to my iMac and use it as an external monitor.
My HDTV is about 25 ft away from my iMac.
A HDMI cable of that length cost over 200 $.
So, its not an option to me.
I just bought a smart rooter but my HDTV Panasonic Viera P50GT30 is not a smart TV.
It needs a DLNA server and I can't find one.
Question : Is there a way to use my HDTV as an external monitor using the Ethernet or Wifi connection?

Hi I am using a Cintiqi Display and would like to add another monitor using the other port HDMI is that possible or do I need to do something else. I just wanted another display to watch videos to learn how to do some Adobe products and thought it be easier to watch it on a monitor while I work on the products ...kind of step by step process.

Not all or even many monitors have HDMI ports but it does have one yes it can be connected. You can also use a HDMI to DVI adapter, in fact Apple include such an adapter in the Mac mini box.
There is one issue you need to consider though, the Mac mini only supports a maximum resolution of 1920x1200 pixels on the HDMI port. If you monitor has a higher resolution then this may not be the best solution.
Your other alternative is to get a USB Displaylink adapter to allow connecting a monitor via USB.

Can I trick the Mac under Bootcamp as OS to use HDMI for the monitor? Dell officially says that the monitor can only accept 1900x1080 over HDMI, but some have fiddled wth different computers with custom settings that worked with some Monitors but mostly under Linux and to Dell 2711.
The MacMini HDMI port is hardware limited to 1980x1200.

I'm working with JSF 1.2 R.I. and I would like to add some javascript to my datatable to be able to control the onclick event on a row.
At the moment I have just added a checkbox to be able to know which row the user wants to select but I'm not satisfied with this solution.

What I would like to achieve is:
When the user clicks the row (wherever, not only the checkbox) the checkbox changes to the new value depending, off course, on the user's selection.
For this purpose I would need to add the onclick event to every row and associate it to a javascript function to update the checkbox.

Using javascript to detect JVM

Hi all.
I'm trying to use javascript to detect whether the JVM (either j2sdk or j2ee) has been installed and take the user to SUN web page if not.
The original MS JVM is not useable for my purposes (does anyone use it?).
I know how to detect browsers and plug-ins but not JVM.

If you use the classid and codebase attributes of the <object and <embed tags, it will download automatically. Easiest is to use HTMLConverter. Tom is correct, there is no T-SQL command to add a publisher to Replication Monitor. However, the server from which you launch Replication Monitor will automatically be added to Replication Monitor if it is a Publisher. Also, you can add additional
