Hi folks... Good Tuesday Moning to you all... I have a Curve 8530 here and just downloaded Uber Social... Being new to Bberry and twitter, I need to know if I have Uber Social, can I delete Twitter?????? I mean they are both the same thing aren't they except Uber is Twitter and then some... Am I right??? Also whin I downloaded Uber, Facebook and Myspace disappeared from my Bberry popop menu... Anyone know why??? I'm bout tio blame someone in the bushy knull... THANKS... U have all been first class and have made blackberrys first impression on me a great one... If not for u folks, I would still have a ton of RAM in my Curve. Thankis for all the info I have gotten here...

I seem to have fixed it by putting <div class="clearfloat"></div> after the navigation bar?

Dreamweaver + Twitter + Facebook & Social Media

Greetings!

I have customized a Twitter widget and Facebook plug-in for the page but, ahhhhhh, I can't get Dreamweaver to align the widgets. Ideally, I would like the Facebook and Twitter widget side by side but can only get them to appear on the page under each other. I am somewhat new to Dreamweaver and am using an older version at work (cs3). Any and all help and suggestions are welcome and appreciated!!!

I would use divs creating a rt-hand column.
The first would hold the Facebook iFrane - give the box a width of maybe 300 and float it right.
The next is for the Twiiter wiggie - all you have to do with that one is specify a right margin, maybe 300 again or a little more,
Just tweak these values until it looks right.
You could even wrap both of these in another div container with an absolute width for more control, but I don't think that's required. And if I'm not mistaken, this is the classic faux-column technique?

No option to remove friends/social tab on "view" menu.

Hello I´ve seen topics on this community pointing to an option inside the "view" menu to disable the friends/social tab . I´m on spotify for windows, version 1.0.6.80.g2a801a53 and the option mentioned does not exist: How do I disable the friends/social tab? Thanks in advance!

I would love to know as well. Its not something I ever use and it justs waste space for me.

UBER Taxi app for Bberry Z10 w 10.2.1 or higher

Trying to get Uber taxi set up on my z10 - i downloaded the APK file from APK train, I tried the latest version and an older one - the download works, and the application installs and delivers an icon on my phone desktop - however, when i launch Uber it asks me to update the software and provides a button to click to update - when i click this it takes me to Google Play and asks me to install but will no do so unless im logged in through Google Play --> is there an easier way to get the Uber taxi app?

I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method to install your OS:

Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)
Hopefully, the new OS will resolve your PART1 issue.

Can't sign in to twitter account

I've just got a blackberry curve 8520. I've downloaded the twitter app but can't log on it keeps saying twitter service not available. Its the right log in details. I've tried updating blackberry. Changing the password.Taking app out and taking battery out. then putting back in.Putting in uber social. HELP?????

Social feeds app...

I have integrated BBM, Facebook, and Twitter to Social Feeds. I love the app, but really don't like how I get updates every 5 minutes from FB and twitter (not an avid BBM user). Aside from that, I also get updates from the twitter and facebook apps themselves (along with Social Feeds). I'm all about battery power and my phone usually lasts around 4 days with push notifications set to each hour and now it lasts 2 days from all the push. Is there a way to stop notifications from the twitter and Facebook apps so I only get updates to Social Feeds every hour?

Social app error

Hi, i tried the social app today for the first time and had to find out that its not working on my phone. When i try starting it, it loads the ovi nokia background then followed by an error message: "scriptsignal: Sorry please uninstall and reinstall Communities." I tried to uninstall and reinstall it with both the update app and the 1.2 file i found in the forum. it installs successfully and reboots, but it still shows the same error everytime.
has anybody an idea what the problem could be?
i got my phone on wednesday and didnt use any soft or hardresets so far. My connections are limited to wlan only. The facebook bookmark/widget works fine.

Twitter doesn't load properly in Safari, huh?

The buttons above the box don't show up in Safari, huh? I have to use Firefox, where it works fine.
Will there be a fix? I don't like to use Firefox much, it's clumsy. Thanks

For Twitter... from the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences then select the Autofill tab. Click the Edit button next to: Other forms. Delete all Twitter related files, click Done. Now from the Preferences Menu click the Security tab. Click "Show Cookies" ... Delete the .twitter.com cookie, click Done. Relaunch Safari. Try Twitter... if that didn't help...
If you are running 10.6.2 as your profile indicates, try updating your system software. Click your Apple Menu / Software Updates.
After you've updated to 10.6.3, repair disk permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

I am getting trouble logging in to the facebook app on Nokia Ovi Social Network. But twitter is working fine.
1) First I click the Nokia Ovi Social Network from the menu of my Nokia N8 cell phone.
2) Then they ask to select social network. There are both Twitter & Facebook.
Note: The twitter account works fine.
3) When I click facebook, a new page comes up entitled "Login to Facebook" They provided a space to type in your respective email address & password.
Here is where the problem originates.
4) After signing in my correct email and password, a small window come up stating
"Incorrect userid or password. Try again. Tip: Password is case sensitive."
Note: both my email & password are correct. Ever since i purchased my cell phone this problem occured.
Can you please assist me?

Does the app "ubersocial" exist for iPhone!

It is a twitter client suposively for blackberry, iPhone and web. I see it fir iPhone on their site but it is nit in the AppStore?

Ubercurrent is currently in the AppStore, it looks alot like ubersocial fir iPhone that is on their website. I'm confused as to why ubermedia doesn't state the status of this app fir iPhone. On their site it clearly shows "ubersocial for iPhone" they even have a link to the app in the AppStore but it doesn't work. So is it Ubercurrent or uber social?

Site Preview vs. Publish Issues

When I Preview my website, all photo slideshows, Social Media widgets and Menu bars work properly and show up; but when I Publish one of my slideshow photos appears while the rest do not, and my LinkedIN widget does not appear and sometimes neither does my menu bar?
Why would my site be doing this?

I am having the same issue. The Twitter and Facebook widgets suddenly stop showing when the site is published. They used to, now they don't anymore.

How do I reference a dynamically created MovieClip from another MovieClip?

I'd be grateful for any pointers to the following problem:
     I'm having trouble referencing dynamically created MovieClips (links in a side panel on a Flash website, created from an XML file) from the current MovieClip (the currently selected link).
     I wish to freeze the the link/MovieClip in its mouseOver state once it has been clicked - this part works. When a new link/MovieClip is clicked on, I wish to release the previously clicked-on link from its mouseOver state, which is what I've so far been unable to do.
     My problem seems to be referencing the previous link/MoveClip. I've used the trace statement trace(MovieClip(this).name) to determine that the MovieClips are named item0, item1, item2 and so on. However, I've been unable thus far to reference the previous clip thus far. I've tried to trace the route to the MovieClip from the stage, and also tried MovieClip(parent).item0.gotoAndStop and lots of other different permutations, but to no avail. It's the fact they seem to be in a container called 'panel' which is defeating me.
     Here's a live version I've uploaded, which might explain the problem better. Click on "UBER UNS" in the top menu bar to get to the page in question. It's the links on the left-hand side (Historie, Unser Team, etc.) which are the problem. You'll see that once they've been clicked on they remain in their mouseOver state.
     This is the code in question on the fla file, which is a file I did not create myself. The parts in black work fine; it's the red parts where the problem lies:

If anyone can help, that would be great.

What you might be after for that line is to use:
lastClickedLink = MovieClip(event.currentTarget);
For what you show, the name property of an object is a String, so I would expect you to be getting an error regarding trying to get a String to act like a MovieClip when you try to tell it to gotoAndPlay('s2').

How to send a message to a Facebook friend from shortcut of messages in notification center

i tried to send a message to a facebook friend from the shortcut of messages like facebook post or twitter tweat option in notification center but i couldn't i thought there may be something else which i need to do before sending a message to anyone from facebook is there something i need to get done before i can a message to a facebook friend ???

I take it you have a Jabber account set up in Messages ?
A Google Mail ID can access Google talk which is a Jabber Server and if you have Enabled "Chat" at Facebook you will have a Facebook chat ID that can be used in Messages as they too run a Jabber server.
Of course these are just two of many Jabber and compatible XMPP servers.
I don't have Facebook or Twitter but I did use the Menu bar icon for Notifications and clicked Messages and Sent a Messages to one of my Jabber IDs (it logged me in and sent it from my Google one).
In the System Preferences > Notifications I do have Share Button set (Messages only).

NFL Mobile Stream Not Available

Hi, so I'm paying for NFL Mobile from Verizon and when I try to access the Saints/Seahawks game's live stream on my phone (with 4/5 stars of signal), it is stating:
"Stream unavailable
The live stream you have attempted to open is not available"
Is there an issue? Did you care to let your customer's know that this stream wasn't working? I'm using an iPhone 5 over LTE, iOS 7.0.4 (11B554a) (there is no wifi available for recreation where I work in my location, but it worked last week and I am still grandfathered into unlimited data, all other data applications are working). So can someone at Verizon please shed some light on why your service is not working? I've tried restarting my phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app with no resolution.

There was a work around that @NFLMobileCS found for me through Twitter. If you hit the menu button in top left corner and then try to access the stream from there, it works. Not sure if that'll work for you or not. They really weren't any help to me though because it took them the entire first playoff game yesterday to figure this out and by the time the 2nd game started, I'd already figured it out myself. Of course no help from Verizon Wireless though, they seem to be useless as usual.
