  • I want to disable "restore previous session" and enable "History record" at the same time.

I want to disable "restore previous session" and enable "History record" at the same time.
Because I don't want others to access my account such as "Gmail", "Facebook". But I want firefox to record my browsing history.
    What should I do?

I managed to remove the "Restore Previous Session" button from the home page by changing my default home page with this : www.google.com/firefox/ (the default home page from the previous versions of Firefox). It worked for me, I hope it works for you too.

  • How to simultaneously multitrack record in GB for iPad?

    Hi,
I'm running GB on my iPad 3, and I'm looking to get a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 interface (via cc kit) to record guitars, keys and vocals.
How do I arm tracks for recording and assign tracks to different interface inputs?
I want to record from multiple sources at the same time.
Anyone able to help? I can't see any help on this in the online manual.
    Thanks,
    Rich

So, I'll answer my own question.
Just called focusrite and the limitation is with GB for iPad - you can only record one track at a time.
They suggested using Auria, which allows simultaneous multitrack recording, which the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 hardware does support.
    So, there you go.

  • How to Create a High Quality Band/Multitrack Recording Play-Through Video?

I am trying to work out the best way to make a playthrough video a little like these - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QUUajNPb5g - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAGqCAsk3gQ&feature=related .
It would be for doing a multitrack-recording playthrough video of my drummer, played to the backing track of one of our songs I recorded in cubase 6
I have Adobe Premiere CS6, Cubase 6, the aproprate mics, a soundcard etc, but I don't have a video camera, but I'd probably just get a £300-£500 one unless you guys think that's not right?
So I'm wondering how you might go about this?
    Cheers!!!

    Hi
This is due to iMovie and really iMovie'08 or 09
They are aimed for quick editing to web-publishing - not high quality DVD.
iMovie 1 to HD 6 and FinalCut Express or Pro are the tool of choise for DVD or
    even Blue-Ray (needs Roxio Toast™ and ev. a Blue-Ray burner/disks)
iMovie'08 and 09 discard every second line = less quality very close to VHS.
I never managed to get full quality from them to feed iDVD.
    • Pro Quality encoding in iDVD is very sufficient to my needs and
burning out with Roxio Toast™ as Blue-Ray to standard DVD (max 20-30 minutes)
gives an even better result BUT ONLY PLAYBACK on Blue-Ray player or PlayStation 3.

  • MacBook Pro suitable for Multitrack Recording??

    Hi buddy,
Somebody said NoteBook is not suitable for Live Multitrack Recording...it'll Cracks,Pop,Click as well...What's your opinion??
Is it the Spec problem??Audio Interface Problem??or software setting problem??
Did you face the Overload problem??how did you solve it??
MacBook Pro..Tower...iMac...all are suitable for Live Multitrack Recording??
Come and let's share about it!!
    Ray

all current macs are suitable for multitrack recording. i have an ibook that i bought in 2004 and i can record all of the tracks that my fireface provides (up to 28 tracks) without a hitch. since the macbook is five times or something faster than my ibook you really shouldn't need to worry about multi track recording...
    best regards...

  • Audigy 2 Plantium (Pro)/Audigy 4 Multitrack Record

    Hi!
I've read the following in the product-specification for Audigy 2 Platinum Pro: "It supports ASIO 2.0 and SoundFont 2. and can record up to 6 simultaneous channels at 24-bit/96kHz."
First Question: Can this six channels only be mixed in the mixing console or do they work like simultaneous soundcars?
For example I would like to do multitrack recording with cool edit pro/Adobe Audition and in this Program I normally can only choose the soundcard that should be used - not the inputs.
Second Question: I've that works - how many channels can be used with a normal Audigy 2 Platinum or an Audigy 4 Pro
So if anybody knows anything about this stuff, please tell me
    with best regards, Thomas

    Jeremy
I am in a very smiliar situation as the original poster and i need to know how to access the ASIO mixing controls. is the ASIO 2 driver something i need to download or install seperately? can i just use the "creative mixer" in my system tray to mix the various inputs on my sound card for multitrack recording? The user manual and website include absoultely no information as to how to do this, but they all claim that it can be done.
To be more clear about what i wish to do, i am using adobe audition (which supports multitrack recording) and would like to simultaneously record using multiple microphones that would each go to seperate tracks in the audition software. I am using the audigy 2z platinum pro if that hel
    ps.
    thanks

  • Thinking of MBPro for multitrack recording

Hi, I am considering buying a MacBook Pro. I'd like to know how well it will work for audio recording if I want to do multitrack recording with a large number of tracks simultaneously. I read that Garage Band can handle up to 8 tracks simultaneously. If I got some other program (Pro Tools, Logic?) and an external soundcard would the MacBook Pro handle doing up to say 16 or 24 tracks simultaneously. I'm really hoping for the portability of a laptop, but also want a powerful enough machine. What should I consider for recording software, external sound cards etc. Up to this point I've been using a combination of a Roland VS 880 and a PC with Cool Edit Pro, but can't really do the amount of simultaneous tracks I'd like. I really don't know where to start but figure getting a powerful enough computer is the first step. I'd also be a first time Mac user if I go this way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Rainsong,
You may do better splitting your two inquiries and post the language question in the OS forum.
The Macbook pro, a pro interface and a fast external drive (7200rpm+) will accomplish what you desire easily. Your track count is largely a function of your recording drive (external). The CPU in the machine will dictate how much processing power you have for effect plug-ins and virtual instruments.
What i do know of your second question is that when you are installing the OS, you have the option to install additional languages and Asian language character sets. I suppose these are for booting entirely into another language ...menus and all. I assume typing in Korean would be impossible without the proper keyboard.
    The OS is the same.
    Good Luck

  • How to perform simultaneous multitrack recording with an Audigy 4 P

    Dear Sir/Madam,
We are comming from the Uni'versity of Maribor, Slovenia. We recently buyed an Audigy 4 Pro Sound Blaster for our studio recording purposes. Here is the description of the problem:
We would like to record the speech database which will be used later to perform text to speech sinthesis (sampling rate of 96kHz, 24-bit resolution). Therefore, we need to SIMULTANEOUSLY record the stereo signals from 2 microphones located at different distances. That is, for each microphone we would have two channels which resulted in a requirement of recording 4 channels symultaneously!!!
We succeded to record the signals from either first or second microphone separately, but we couldn't record the stereo signals from the both microphones simultaneously!!! Namely, in the Creative mixer there is possible to select ONLY one recording input in a time. But we need to record the signal simultaneously from two inputs.
    Our question are:
. How can we perform simultaneous, multitrack recording with an Audigy 4 Pro using two stereo inputs (e.g. from Line In and Line In 2 inputs)?
    2. Which -from Creative recommended- recording software supports this multritrack recording? Namely, the recordings from the two microphones should be aligned in time as much as possible.
Thank you very much for your help!
    Altair

    Hi
You need recording software (Cubasis (not sure), Cubase, Sonar, etc.) which supports
ASIO drivers and a 'multichannel' microphone pre-amp/mixer to get microphone(s) connected
    'separately' into Audigy Input's.
ASIO driver gives more 'Input sources' to choose from compared to WDM's one stereo/2 mono
    channel capability.

  • No Audio Track is enabled for recording message

I'm a beginner in Mac and would appreciate some help in sorting out a problem with Garageband podcasting on iLife '06.
When I choose female voice and press the red RECORD button, I get this message: "No Audio Track is enabled for recording". I have done some tests in the past which were ok. Have I accidently changed the settings? I checked input and output devices (usb external mic and speaker headset is recognised and that voice and not instrument selection is made.
Can anyone help me please. Thank you.

To enable a track choose the track and click on the
small button icon on the right just under the track
name. The button will be red when enabled.
I'm looking for such a button and don't see one. AFAICT the track name is "Male Basic." Near the track name I see three buttons: mute/unmute, solo, and show/hide volume curve. But that's it. To the right of that are the mixer controls, and no other obvious buttons that I can see. What does or should the button look like? And are we both referring to the same version of GB? I'm wondering if a later version of GB has the button, but version 1 doesn't?
BTW I have looked through the docs (the At-A-Glance and the 3 tutorial PDFs) that came with the installation, and using Preview's Search function, can find no instance of the string "enabl" in any of the documents. Nor is it anywhere in Help.
    Thanks again...

  • Enable Flight Recorder

    Hello,
I am searching for the solution of the below warning where it is not clear to me, where exactly the parameter should be stored.
in Step 6.3.4 "Enable Flight Recorder" I don't know where the lines should be stored in (path/file)
    jstartup/recorder = java -classpath ../j2ee/cluster/bootstrap/launcher.jar
    com.sap.engine.offline.OfflineToolStart com.sap.engine.flightrecorder.core.Collector
    ../j2ee/cluster/bootstrap -node %nodeID% %startTime% -bz $(DIR_GLOBAL) –exitcode
    %exitcode%
Error description in setup wizard in SMD:
The profile parameter jstartup/recorder could not be checked in the Java profile of <host>/<SID>/<abap instance number> [CI] (full host name)
Any hint will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance,
    Best regards,
    Rastislav

    Thank you for answer,
Just to be correct, does it has to be visible via RZ10 or only on OS level in file for the J2EE Instance profile, because by the setup wizard in SMD it is looking for the instance profile XX and by the name its looking for the ABAP instance profile, where this parameter is already stored (only on OS level, not visible through SAP).
    Thanks,
    Rastislav

  • "Enable auto recording" question

When I turn off "Enable auto recording" in the recording
options dialog, then start recording, captivate still grabs screens
when i type on the keyboard. How do i disable auto recording
completely? I want to be the only one capturing screens, with no
intervention from captivate. I am capturing activity in a standard
dos window - typing in commands, hitting enter etc. Captivate seems
to capture all that activity. I dont want it to.
    Hope someone can help!
    thanks,
    tim

You need to also uncheck "Record Keystrokes" (and sub-menus)
in "Options > Recording Options > Recording Options (tab)".
Then open the "Full Motion Recording" tab and disable
"Automatically Use Full Motion Capture For Drag And Drop
    Operations".
Also, on the "Recording Options" tab, on the "Recording Mode"
selection, open "Edit Settings" and de-select automatically adding
"Text Captions" and "Highlight Boxes" (for mouse-clicks).
Have a nice day, Tim, and welcome to the Captivate User
    Community!

  • How can I do MultiTrack recording on MacBook Pro?

Hey guys, I just bought Logic Express 9 to record separate audio for my Canon T2i DSLR.
how can I do Muti-Track recording on my MacBook Pro out door?
Will the Behringer USB mixer allow me to do MultiTrack recording or any other mixer?
    Thanks in advance,
    CJ

The only thing I'll add is do not look past the current crop of USB interfaces. I just recorded 14 tracks at once to my macbook pro, a 4 year old model, with a new Tascam US-1641 USB interface. 100% perfect. I've had several MOTU, Lexicon, Roland and Presonus interfaces. All have been Firewire until I tried the Tascam USB. Works exactly the same as all my firewire models. Same latency, same stability, etc.
So please don't focus solely on firewire interfaces. There are some nice USB ones too. In fact, there is a new tascam US-800 model that can do 8 at a time, is very small and compact, buss powered (meaning no power supplies to plug in) and can be had for a little over $200.
Basically, any usb or firewire interface that has 4+ actual analog inputs (be careful, many low-input inferfaces actually have TWO analog inputs, and two digital...you probably need 4 analog inputs).

Which plugin is used for those streams?
Your More system details list shows the WMP plugin and the Flash plugin as commonly used plugins to play streams.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Enable Flight Recorder During Wily Install&Config

    Dear Experts,
for the installation of the wily e2e tools we follow the "root cause analysis installation and upgrade guide".
In Step 6.3.4 "Enable Flight Recorder" we don't know where to put these lines in.
