10.1.2.0.2 App Server Release Date?

Folks,
Does anyone know what the expected release date is for the Oracle 10g Application Server Release 2 Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Aka, the one with Forms and Reports services) and the accompanying 10.1.2.0.2 Developer Suite? I would like to get a feel so I can decide which one to load. 1 week? 1 month? 1 year?, etc. Thanks.
PJC

Well i badly need forms and report in my 10.1.2.0.0
When will it be release.
Expeting date please
RegardsWe waited for 9.0.4 to be released for way too long (about a year on the Windows platform). It is almost as stable as 9iAS R1 and it requires more resources (cpu and ram) to run but overall, it isn't too bad. We waited for 9.0.4 because it contained bug fixes we required to migrate from 1.0.2.2.2a. What does 10.1.2 have that 9.0.4.1 doesn't? I thought it was virtually the same thing as 9.0.4.1.

  • Final Cut Server release date?

    Hey guys
    Any ideas? The last press release in April 17 said Final Cut Server was going to be released in May... but there's been no press releases since?
    Does anyone have any insider info?
    We are being fed conflicting reports in Oz from the Resellers.
    Cheers

  • Browse by Release Date

    Hello.
    I've always experienced a very frustrating problem when browsing apps by Release Date on my iPad. Steps are as follows:
    1. Browse apps by release date.
    2. Scroll through several pages, then touch an app to view details.
    3. Touch the 'back' arrow to go back up a level to browsing.
    4. Instead of showing the page you were on, it resets to the first page of apps.
    It doesn't ALWAYS do this but it does it enough to be REALLY frustrating. Is there any way to make this stop?
    Thanks,
    ALF

  • Featured by release date gone?

    I like the iOS 6 new App Store design. But am I missing something? My morning ritual doesn't work anymore: I loved to browse ALL new apps by release date. They were listed alphabetically and it it was a simple way to browse all brand-new apps.
    Does anyone know a workaround for this? Is there a search term that would list ALL apps? Only in search I can still choose the release date filter.
    Thanks in advance for any ideas! I am using a new iPad, BTW.

    Unfortunately, the Release Date field only works in movies and podcasts. This is one of my biggest pet peeves about iTunes. Often artists release more than one thing in the course of a year, and I'm certainly not the only person in the world who wants to sort those releases in true chronological order.
    I've found that I can work around this by entering the date into the Grouping field as (year).(month).(day) with leading zeros (i.e. 2007.08.02), then sorting by grouping.

  • Oracle Application Server Release 2 (10.1.2) Deployment Notes question

    Hi!
    I'm following the Oracle Application Server Release 2 (10.1.2) Deployment Notes (http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/html/B25947_01/deployment_topics006.htm) for deploying an application, built in Jdeveloper 10.1.3 to AS 10.1.2. I have a question about Configuring JDeveloper to Generate Configuration Files That Are J2EE 1.3-Compliant. Do I need all the files in table 34-3? (http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/html/B25947_01/deployment_topics006.htm#CIHHBJAI)
    I already have some of these files. Can I change the version of existing files or do I need new ones? How can I change the version of existing files?
    Here are the headers of some of these files:
    web.xml: (Here I probably just change version="2.4" to version="2.3")
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1250'?>
    <web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
             xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/web-app_2_4.xsd"
             version="2.4" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee">
    orion-application.xml: (Is version="10.0" the version I need to change to "1.2"?)
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1252'?>
    <orion-application xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
                       xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.oracle.com/technology/oracleas/schema http://xmlns.oracle.com/oracleas/schema/orion-application-10_0.xsd"
                       version="10.0"
                       xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/technology/oracleas/schema">
    data-sources.xml.xml: (This file has only XML version, I don't believe this is the version I need to change)
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1250'?>I only have these three files from the table in my application. Do I need application.xml and oc4j-connectors.xml too?
    Thank you in advance!

  • Will Office Web Apps Server 2013 work with SharePoint 2013 sites hosted in SP2010 compatibility mode?

    We are planning a upgrade of a SP2010 farm to 2013. There has been a bit of customization so we wish to run the old sites on the new SP2013 platform in SP2010 compatibility mode.
    So my question is will Office Web Apps Server 2013 work with the old sites hosted in compatibility mode?
    I found a similar query from March 2014 found here
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/93101/office-web-apps-2010-running-on-sharepoint-2013-for-compatibility-mode-sites/116281#116281
    Has there been an update released to resolve this
    Cheers D

    Hi  ,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you need to know whether Office Web Apps 2013 is working with SharePoint 2013 sites which is in SharePoint 2010 compatibility mode.
    For my test, Office Web Apps 2013 with SharePoint 2013 sites which is in SharePoint 2010 compatibility mode is working fine.
    Thanks,
    Eric

  • JDK1.5.0_12 crash when I try to startup a tomcat app server with it.

    Hi,
    I am support a Blackboard application running on a PrimePower box.
    Recently I installed JDK1.5.0_12 on the box. When I re-configured Blackboard to use the new JDK and tried to restart the server, the tomcat portion will keep getting the JVM Hotspot crash error as illustrated below.
    The startup is invoked from a shell script that starts the web server as well as the tomcat (app) server. As long as the root partition has enough diskspace, the script will try to "start" the tomcat server.
    The JVM will keep throwing core dumps and issuing messages like the following, with each core dump taking about 100 to 150MB in space from the root partition.
    Only when there isn't enough space in the root partition for another core dump, did I notice that it stopped.
    My sys admin has since cleaned up the dump files and I have reverted back to the earlier minor release of JDK1.5.0.
    I have used ldd -r libjvm.so and the command could return me the list of libraries that the libjvm.so depends on (not a problem with the loading of the dynamic libraries and such).
    I have submitted the JVM crash report. But no one has gotten back to me.
    Has anyone encountered the same problems / have any suggestions on what could be cause and how to resolved this?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Hon Peng.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply. I have tried this on another machine running the same version of Blackboard. It works fine.
    Only difference is that the machine that has the JVM crash is running on Fujitsu PrimePower and the OS is Solaris 9 (but twigged for PrimePower).
    The one where it runs and starts up successfully is running on SunFire (OS is Solaris 10).
    I am wondering if there is a problem with the JVM loading required libraries because of the OS being different versions.
    Any leads on this is welcomed. Thank you.
    Regards,
    Hon Peng

  • Peoplesoft HRMS 9.1, Peopletools 8.50 - PS PS fails when firing up app serv

    Hi everyone.
    I am working on setting up an environment under Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.4 (64 bit) running Oracle 11gR1 (11.0.6), Peopletools 8.50 (64 bit), Tuxedo 10gR3, Weblogic, Peoplesoft HRMS 9.1 (64 bit). Both Peopletools 8.50 and Peoplesoft HRMS 9.1 are relatively new. We are probably one of the first to set this up and we have an issue.
    All of the software has been installed and configured. All database sql, datamover, and other scripts have been executed. Also, the database is fully populated.
    We encounter an error when going into psadmin and trying to boot the domain HC:
    CMDTUX_CAT:1685: ERROR: Application initialization failure
    CMDTUX_CAT:827: ERROR: Fatal error encountered; initiating user error handler
    We also receive the following errors:

    Issue is that when trying to connect and fire up the app server it fails on authentication with PS/PS. I have not changed any of the passwords. I also have searched and even run a fix located at:
    http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/psftdba/message/577
    I have also gone back and checked that:
    1. The environment for weblogic is exported.
    2. The weblogic daemon wlserver is running.
    3. The environment for tuxedo is exported.
    4. The tlisten daemon is running.
    5. The tlisten listener is configured in /etc/services for port 3050.
    6. Tested the sysadm, people accounts to ensure that I can log into the Oracle database. No passwords have been changed. Also checked that all of the tables exist and that they are populated with data.
    7. Terminated the daemons and removed the ones that were hung using system resources using ipcrm.
    8. Checked the UDDCONFIG file that was created by Peoplesoft to ensure that it was being read.
    9. Went back and rechecked the installation and post-installation documentation for Tuxedo 10gR3, Weblogic, Peoplesoft PT 8.50, and Peoplesoft HRMS 9.1.
    10. Went back and checked that all binaries and libraries were installed. (I did this prior to the install, but went back and checked again.)
    11. Searched the error log files and looked up the codes presented. Checking on possible solutions (this is where I am now).
    Anything that anyone can add would be most appreciated. I have log files from the server (of which I am still going through) that I can make available to anyone that is willing to help..
    I will share any other findings as they become available and as I make progress.
    Thanks in advance!

    sounds like something to do with connect-id or access-id.
    are you able to login to datamover using sysadm user ?
    if yes ...can you try to login and run
    set log c:\temp\test1.log;
    UPDATE PSSTATUS SET OWNERID = 'SYSADM';
    UPDATE PSOPRDEFN SET SYMBOLICID = 'SYSADM1', OPERPSWD = 'upg2009', ENCRYPTED = 0 WHERE OPRID = 'VP1';
    UPDATE PSACCESSPRFL SET ACCESSID = 'SYSADM', SYMBOLICID = 'SYSADM1', ACCESSPSWD = 'fin23SQL', VERSION = 0, ENCRYPTED = 0;
    GRANT SELECT ON PSSTATUS TO people;
    GRANT SELECT ON PSOPRDEFN TO people;
    GRANT SELECT ON PSACCESSPRFL TO people;
    REM - ENCRYPT PASSWORD
    SET LOG c:\temp\encrypt.log;
    ENCRYPT_PASSWORD *;
    Also check PSDBOWNER, it should contain only one row and DB Name should be in caps/lower same case as DB name ...somting it also causes issue.

  • Upgrading Oracle Apps Server from 10g (10.1.3.0) to 10.1.3.5

    Have the following question.
    First time upgrading Oracle Apps Server. So not that familiar in this area.
    1. Step 6.1.2 in Oracle Application Server Patch Set Notes it says <p>
    If you are applying 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Patch Set 5 (10.1.3.5.0) to a 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.0.0) Oracle home and your system uses Enterprise Javabeans 3.0 applications, then you must undeploy your applications before applying the patch </p>
    When I try to start Application Server Control I get the following error, please advice <p>

    Do we have to undeploye EJB3.0

    Hi,
    It seems like you are upgrading E-Business Suite . If thats the case its better post the problem in Ebiz forum. Also post the document id you are following, your app and db release, OS release. We do not deploy J2EE applications on Ebiz Tech Stack app server. So un-deployment should not be applicable here.

  • Connection failure after deploying to 10.1.3 app server

    I am working on a three-tier application that uses session EJB facades and TopLink for persistence. I configured a datasource in the embedded OC4J server preferences in JDeveloper (10.1.3) and can successfully deploy my persistence code to the embedded server and access it from a test client.
    I recently installed Oracle App Server 10g 10.1.3 to be used for integration testing. In JDeveloper, I configured a new application server connection and EJB Jar deployment profile to allow me to deploy my persistence code to the new server. When I deploy my code to the server and attempt to use one of the session EJB persistence methods, I get the following exception message:
    Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLException: javax.resource.spi.ApplicationServerInternalException: Unable to create a connection. Connection factory has been stopped.Error Code: 0
    In the Oracle Enterprise Manager, my application is running and the datasource and connection pool test successfully.
    If I restart OC4J from Oracle Enterprise Manager, my application works correctly, at least until I have to deploy new code to the server, at which time the above error reappears. My question: Should OC4J have to be restarted each time new code is deployed? I am not making any changes to the datasource or connection pool configurations. Thanks.

    Thanks Jaap.
    I was told recently by someone at Oracle that Forms/Reports is supported on 10.1.3.x and eventually on 11g (not yet released), and I was also told 10.1.3 doesn't require two servers, but I'm having trouble finding much to support either claim.
    Reason I'm asking is that we're currently using the client/server Forms/Reports and need to decide on a migration path and l don't know if it's wise to continue with the 10.1.2 App Server knowing it's going to be de-supported in a few short years and I don't want to go with 10.1.3 if it requires additional servers (we're small). We're looking at APEX as a possible alternative...

  • Error deploying to new 10.1.3.4 App Server - "Error instantiate servlet..."

    Hello all,
    Your help would be greatly appreciated finding the root cause of this error. I'm trying to deploy your run of the mill .war to a newly installed Oracle Application Server version 10.1.3.4. The deployment fails at the very end with the exception below. The app server is running on RHEL 4.7. I built the war first with JDEV 11g, and then built it from Netbeans to try and make sure JDEV 11g wasn't doing something funny to the war. Both times, after deploying I receive the error below. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I'm not using ADF or anything in particular like that. Thank you for any help you might be able to provide. -- Jason

    "Not really. You can exclude the data-sources.xml from the EAR file and rely on the setup of the Global Datasource, created before deployment.
    --olaf"
    Thanks. Yes I did try this but when I setup the datasource via the datasources tab within the console I still received the error. This may have been due to an error on my part but I can't be sure as i've tried all sorts of different approaches over the last few days. I initially didn't have a datasource.xml so there wasn't one to exclude (via the deploy properties in Jdev) I had relied on Jdeveloper to setup the datasource via my connections. I read somewhere that Jdev does this fduring deploy and indeed it works fine for my embedded oc4j and when deplolying from Jdeveloper 10.1.2 so it would seem odd that the same approach doesn't work for Jdeveloper 10.1.3.
    Surely the release notes regarding the password issue is the reason why I can't deploy from Jdev 10.1.3.4 to app server 10.1.2?
    The release notes say that a patch is due to fix the issue with password indirection, Olaf do you know where I can get this?
    Also how do I setup Jdev not to write the datasources during deployment? If I don't have a datasources.xml then there is nothiing to exclude. Is there a setting somewhere in Jdev 10.1.3.4?

  • Hint: Beware when using JDev 10.1.3 EA to deploy to 10.1.2 App server!!

    I've struggled a bit with deploying a War packaged application from JDev 10.1.3 to a version 10.1.2 Application Server, and since I've encountered loads of messages in the various forums talking about "Http -'something' when trying to deploy through Ant using the DCM servlet, or running the deployment profile from JDev, I'd like to give you the following hint:
    JDev 10.1.3 is currently built for using the 10.1.3 App server! Therefore it will also generate artifacts according to the new J2EE standard, which means that the various .xml configuration files generated uses xml schema instead of DTD!!
    And since the 10.1.2 App server doesn't tolerate xml schema references in the config files....... well..... you end up with a Http -'something' as return value from the DCM servlet!
    Another Hint: You have to package your War in an Ear structure if deploying through Ant and the DCM servlet(called by using the oc4j_remote_deploy.jar), although you can deploy the exact same war file when using the dcmctl batch file from a command line succesfully! (it apparently does the Ear packaging including automatic 'application.xml' generation for you)

    Hi,
    there does not seem to be an ADF Runtime Installer with JDev 10.1.3ea so none of the 10.1.3 libraries/code would be on the application server. I wonder if it would work if the ADF runtime installer was included in the EA release and it was run on the 10.1.2 AS???
    regards,
    Brenden
