10.1.2 installing timeout

Windows 7 home - just reinstalled windows from scratch from hard drive 'D' - tried with Explorer and Firefox 5 times to install Reader to enable install other programes that request it -same thing each time - on third panel goes immediately to 33% for about 2 to 3 minutes then to 41% for 3 seconds then says " timeout"
2 year old Aspire 18" lap top - plenty of power/space - has not previously had a problem, last install was Reader X 10.1.2
Brian

You may want to try the following:
Run this fix from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Uninstall all traces of any versions of Reader using Add/Remove Programs
If you want to reinstall Reader, download it from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • Mdm app push install timeout?

Does anyone know what the timeout is for an MDM app push install?
I'm seeing an issue whereby I have 90 ipad 4's and on some of them if I haven't clicked on the user acceptance to allow the MDM app push install that it's then corrupting the MDM agent on the device and I have to re-enroll the device to get the app push to be succesful.
    Any advice appreciated
    Thanks

If you integrate with ConfigMgr you can.
Windows Intune stand-alone cannot do that but I expect it will be possible later this year.

  • Adobe Pro XI install: Timeout waiting for window to load

Installed fine on my work computer yesterday (subscription).  Trying to download and install at home from the website and getting "Timeout waiting for window to load".  I've tried IE, Chrome and Firefox.  I do have a Pro 8 installed here, but don't want to chuck it until I know XI is going to install - not sure I know where that disk is any longer.

    Hi Daniel,
Seems to be a network issue here.
Please try downloading the file ( Download Acrobat products | 9, 8 ) from any other network, (may be your work computer network) and save the setup file to a flash drive.
Connect the flash drive to the home computer and try installing.

  • Network install target says RARP timeout, server says reply sent

I had an existing Solaris jumpstart install server that I initially tried setting up for DHCP, and then after much failure tried resetting it to used fixed IP on a different subnet.

Do any more request/reply pairs come through on the network trace?
So according to the server feedback, it looks like the RARP lookup is working, but the client isn't getting the response. If you get unlimited RARP request lines on the client, I'd agree. If they stop, then perhaps the system is hanging after the reply.
Can you do a 'test-net' on the client OBP and see that it can view network traffic? Has the machine been booted with some OS to verify the interface is functional for receiving traffic?

    Hi,
It seems to me that you have not created a proper sysidcfg file. From your post, it looks to me like your sysidcfg contains no entries. This is why it prompts you to enter the kernel path. Look on docs.sun.com for a guide to creating the sysidcfg file .

  • UCCX 8.5.1 fix for CSCtj97676 - Disk I/O Timeout w/SAN

Anyone know when this is corrected with UCCX 8.5.1, if it is?
The bug only lists Call Manager versions with fix, and I have that info already but it doesn't mention versions for other applications (UCCX, CUC, etc). I've opened a TAC case a few days ago and gave them this bug id for reference but nothing yet.
    CSCtj97676 Bug Details
UC Applications that use SAN storage need ability to change disk timeout
    Symptom:
When deploying UC applications within a virtualized environment, the SAN
vendors require certain disk timeout settings to be applied to hosts/virtual
machines. However, installing vmware tools in either ESX4.0 or 4.1 does not
properly update the disk timeout in the redhat version 4, which used for UC
applications. Vmware is suggesting a value of 180 seconds, which seems well
within most SAN vendors recommendations that are typically used.
The current timeout value used in UC application is 30 seconds. This needs to be
changed to 180 seconds. With the current default value of 30 seconds, some SAN
events (controller failures, etc) will inadvertently cause the linux file
system to go into a read-only state. This could cause a major UC outage.
    Conditions:
This is applicable only for UC applications within a virtualized environment
    using SAN.
    Workaround:
    None

    Hi Ebergquist,
I do not see any UCCX specific versions mentioned here as part of the fix. TAC might help you to get that information
However this defect was verified with the below details.
This verification was completed with UCS Host using ESXi 4.1/VM having VMware tools installed
    Timeout is set to 180
    Hope it helps.

On the 4th attempt to sysprep a Windows 7 Enterprise system, I get the dreaded, 'A fatal error occurred while trying to sysprep the machine.'

I've seen articles referring to the Windows Software Licensing Rearm program may have issues running more than three times in a single Windows image and to add <SkipRearm>1</SkipRearm> in the /unattend file...  but this did not help.
The Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service has also been disabled which is often referred to in other posts.
The KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947212/en-us indicated that the resolution is to re-create the image for the machine... This is very frustrating. I'm hoping that there is
    a better resolution???
How do you sysprep a machine more than three times to avoid this error?
    Thanks!!

The IP subnets are not technically the same (10.1/16 and 10.2/16), but they are handled by the same router.
Normal operation and Solaris9 jumpstart is fine. I got the same problem when I tried jumpstart in the same subnet as the jumpstart server.
The Solaris10 installer is doing something unexpected when detecting setting. Something like checking that address with DHCP is the same as the one gotten initially ( I do not believe this is the problem, this is just in the area where I believe that there is problems).
    Any specific hints?

  • Problem jumpstarting a Solaris 9 SPARC from Solaris 10 x86

    Hi all,
I'm going to install a couple of servers using Jumpstart, but I've run
into a problem so I'm kinda in panic.
    This is the net boot:
Executing last command: boot net - install
Boot device: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/network@c,1 File and args: - install
    Timeout waiting for ARP/RARP packet
29200 panic - boot: Could not mount filesystem.
    Program terminated
    ok
I've setup the jumpstart server on my x86 PC, which is Solaris 10 final
with JET 3.7.3. Since I'm jumpstarting Solaris 9 onto a SPARC machine, I
had to do copy_solaris_media over NFS, since I can't mount the SPARC
ISO-CD1 on my x86. The install server seems to be OK, at least it didn't
    complain during setup.
The log entry from sniffing the JS server:

Any idea what could be wrong? It stops at 29200, wheres Solaris 10 runs
    further up to 38000 something.
Jumpstarting the Solaris 10 onto the same SPARC works perfectly, using
    the exact same configuration files.
    Thanks

    Hi all,
I managed to solve the problem.
This is very weird! can someone explain why this happens?

I then replaced /tftpboot/inetboot.SUN4U.Solaris_9-1 with /tftpboot/inetboot.SUN4U.Solaris_10-1 from the Solaris 10 tree, renamed /tftpboot/inetboot.SUN4U.Solaris_10-1 to /tftpboot/inetboot.SUN4U.Solaris_9-1
    Voila!
    Now works.
inetboot.SUN4U.Solaris_9-1 was not corrupt (must be some internal bootimage bug related to Netra-T1?).
    Old bootimage: "inetboot.SUN4U.Solaris_9-1", 152376 bytes, "sum" 3662 and 298.
    New bootimage: "inetboot.SUN4U.Solaris_9-1" (Sol 10 image), 214880 bytes, "sum" 53512 and 420.
By the way I was using latest Solaris 9/04, u7

  • SCOM 2012 R2 installing on SQL 2012 SP1 - Error Code: 0x80131904, Exception.Message: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

    Hi,
I am getting an issue during a SCOM 2012 R2 installation while creating the SCOM DataWarehouse database. Setup seems to timeout during creating the datawarehouse database. I can see all database files created in windows explorer on the SQL server before
setup rolls the SCOM install back.
Has anyone seen this issue before or know how to help resolve it?

    Hi,
Based on the log, I recommend you use the following way to test SQL connectivity.
You can use a UDL file to test various connectivity scenarios, create a simple text file, rename the extension from TXT to UDL, fill out the necessary information on the connection tab then test the connection, and troubleshoot as necessary
    if it fails to connect.
For more information, please review the link below:

    Steve

This is because you HAVE a network connection. You can resolve this with 1 of the following 2 methods:
    A:
disconnect the network cable and reconnect when the installation process gets to the prompt for hostname.
    B:
    1. Get to the OK prompt
    2. setenv diag-device disk
    3. reset

  • Remotely installing enic drivers via pnputil results in timeout error even though it is successful

This is a followup question to my previous post regarding an error I was getting using pnputil remotely
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/05116983-7de5-4987-919d-d0032c65c0bb/remote-use-of-pnputil-results-in-invalid-inf-passed-as-parameter?forum=winserverpowershell
I was able to get the script working copying the files locally then installing. Basically I'm doing:
    if (!(Test-Path -path $DestinationFolder)) {New-Item $DestinationFolder -Type Directory}
    Copy-Item -Path $SourceFNIC -Destination $DestinationFolder
    Copy-Item -Path $SourceENIC -Destination $DestinationFolder
    Invoke-Command -ComputerName $servers -ScriptBlock {pnputil.exe -i -a "C:\temp\fnicwl64.inf"}
    Invoke-Command -ComputerName $servers -ScriptBlock {pnputil.exe -i -a "C:\temp\enic6x64.inf"}
The fnic installs no problem & reports back. The enic, understandably, loses connection temporarily while the driver updates. It then sits at: Processing inf:
enic6x64.inf for about 30 seconds before I get the error message:
Processing data from remote server failed with the following error message: The WinRM client cannot complete the operation within the time specified. Check if the machine name is valid and is reachable over the network and firewall exception for Windows Remote
Management service is enabled. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
        + CategoryInfo          : OperationStopped: (System.Manageme...pressionSyncJob:PSInvokeExpressionSyncJob) [], PSRemotingTransportException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : JobFailure
The blip for installing the drivers is maybe 5 seconds. Is there a way to get the script to wait for successful reply or for it to check again to make sure it was installed before it times out? Again, it is successfully updating all enic drivers, so just
trying to make the remote script see that for verification over multiple servers.

That should work in theory... however the problem I'm running into is that the job will report a "fail" everytime no matter what because it loses connection with the remote host while it's updating the network drivers. However, on the server, all network
drivers are in fact updated. The only results I get from the receive-job is a timeout, but if I redirect the actual results from the command to a text file on the server, then just wait 15 seconds for the drivers to complete their install I can read what actually
happened. I'm not sure why the job is timing out. It waits for a good 30-45 seconds before timing out when the host is only blipping for about 10 seconds, but it never tries to establish a connection back.
Reading through, if our servers were updated with powershell 4.0 I could use the InDisconnectedSession
parameter I think... Hmmmm I'm gonna look into upgrading our powershell versions anyways.

  • I get a timeout error when installing flashplayer

    I use:
    HP Pavillion ze4500
    2Ghz Athlon Processor
    1GB Ram
    Windows XP service pack 3
    IE8
    Opera 12.15
This morning, 2 things happened when I went to Youtube using IE8: I got a message saying IE8 was no longer supported on Youtube & that I needed the latest version of flashplayer installed (I've got a screenshot of that!). When I tried to get the lastest version, it wouldn't complete installation, the installer indicated "download timeout" (I've got screenshot!). I tried using one of the other download options offered on this site's help section and verified that I got the latest version installed (I have screenshot!). However, Youtube still gives the same message about needing flashplayer.
Next, I tried using Opera. I got no message saying Opera wasn't supported and no message saying I needed flash player, but video was choppy when played. I tried downloading flashplayer using Opera, but still got a "download timeout".

Download and run the offline installer(s) from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#mai n-pars_header
