10.10.2 downloaded but did not install

In my install update summary on App Store it shows 10.10.2 downloaded successfully. I restarted my computer, but I'm still on version 10.10.1.

You were wiser than I to ask here. I tried to use the ap store to download the upgrade. It took hours. Multiple times the download failed in the middle. I supposedly got to the end of it three times and although it went through the restart install procedure I was left in 10.10.1 Probably spent 12 hours total on this (no I didn't sit it and watch it, but I've been failing at it for two days, so you get the idea). I will never use the Ap store again if I can help it.
But I found the same solution as was suggested here. Start Chrome and go to the combo update. The whole thing downloads in 15 minutes and installs the first time. Thank you Chrome. Thank you Apple for posting an alternative procedure. Wouldn't it have been real nice if folks at Apple had posted the alternative on the Ap store? I'm afraid experiences like this only reconfirm that I was right to move to Linux as my main computing platform.

That did it. Only difference is that you don't need to open Manage Storage. That, for me at least, just takes me to my iCloud storage.
So to revise your suggestion, go to Settings>General>Usage - on a 4S with iOS7 internal storage will open and the downloaded update file will appear in the list. Just tap that entry, and you'll be asked if you want to delete it.

App Store - iphoto download but will not install - error occurred...?

I downloaded iPhoto from the app store but when it finished downloading it did not install. I tried to go back into the app store to install it and 'an error has occurred' shows beside the 'install' button. I have restared, signed out, signed in, cleared all warnings without avail. Can anyone help?

Problem solved...
Ran Disk Utility --> Repair Disk Permissions
Signed out of App Store, Signed In
Went to Applications and clicked the little 'x' in the top corner of the iphoto app
Cancelled download
Restarted download within App Store

If you can run the recovery, it should free up enough space although in this thread, it did not. It might also help to download the Windows 10 ISO file and run it from a USB. You do not have to run any updates to Windows 8.1 if you do that, you can upgrade right after restoring to the factory configuration.

I recommend purchasing lion on a USB drive at Apple Store. This will avoid all of the downloading hassles.
Also, be sure you clone your hard drive first. A lot of people want to go back to Snow Leopard and if you choose to do this cloning will make the process very easy.

What you just wrote may have revealed the Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements integration consideration. If you have Premiere Elements 11, you need Photoshop Elements 11 for the integration between the programs to produce the DVD version of the Photoshop Elements Slideshow.
All along I was picturing Meyerswalter already in Premiere Elements 11/Publish+Share/Disc/DVD and being told to install Premiere Elements to get the burn to disc accomplished.
But, if Meyerswalter is using Premiere Elements 11 and a non integrated version of Photoshop Elements for this matter, that could very well fit.
So, Meyeswalter, so that we can dispel those thoughts
a. What versions of Photoshop Elements are you using with Premiere Elements 11? And, are you in the Photoshop Elements Slideslide Show Editor using the Output of Burn to Disc DVD or Edit with Premiere Elements Editor and getting the load software message somewhere along the line?
b. To prove this point, if you have not already, what happens if you take Photoshop Elements out of the equation. Import some media into Premiere Elements 11 and try to burn to disc from there Publish+Share/Disc/DVD?
If that is the core of the issue, I will post a list of Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements integrated combos as a guideline for you.
If this is the core of the issue, you could always keep the non Photoshop Elements 11 version that you have, output the slideshow to a wmv file sized for DVD and then import that into Premiere Elements 11 via its Add Media. More on that later if necessary since right now I am speculating on an explanation for what you are encountering.

From what I understand about your issues is that your iPad will currently not turn on. In attempt to resolve this issue please follow the steps in order below:
Resolution
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

The update to osx 10.8.2 has not taken effect, showed it downloading but did not restart and why is the update still available?

the update to osx 10.8.2 has not taken effect? it showed it downloading the update in the app browser but did not restart of its own accord or take me to the grey screen it describes. after restarting myself it still says the upgrade is still available? and iphoto does not work as it needs 10.8.2 to work!
what am i not doing right? this could well be me being thick. so any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If you are unable to install the software update, you may need to plug the iPad Mini into a power source. If it is below a certain percentage in power it will require power to ensure that iPad Mini does not loose power when installing. HELP - FRUSTRATED - iTunes 7 Downloaded but will not install

Hi....I have downloaded iTunes. But when I then run the iTunesSetup.exe to install it, I keep getting the exact same message:
"The installation of QuickTime did not complete successfully. iTunes requires QuickTime"
That's it. No error number or further explanation. I have deleted/erased all other versions of QuickTime. I have downloaded, run and installed the QuickTime 7 standalone installer from my hard drive and yet I still keep getting the same message I posted above.
This is going on 3 hours now, and I'm not happy.

let's try getting an itunes 7 installer log to the Apple Engineers for a look.
1. Open a command prompt window. (Start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return.)
2. Drag and drop iTunesSetup.exe onto the window so that the full pathname of the file is at the command line prompt.
3. Type in a space, then the following line:
/l*v C:\log.txt
4. Hit return.
5. The installer will create a log file:
C:\log.txt
Find that file and send it as an attachment to this email address.
in the email to Roy, be sure to include the following information:
- A link to the thread on Apple Discussions where the issue is being discussed
- The username you are using in the thread
- The version of iTunes you are using or trying to use
- the version of Windows you are using (mention service packs)
- A concise description of the issue you are seeing

Auto Update downloads but does not install

Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit, 10 PCs in a peer-to-peer network.
They are configured to download and install (GPO) but the last round of updates did not automatically install, I had to install manually.
PCs are in sleep mode and locked in the evenings. At least 1 PC was logged in as an Administrator and locked.
What is preventing the updates from installing?

Before going further, how did we configure the automatic update setting?
For
we are not in a domain environment. As a result, if we want to use Group Policy to configure automatic update, we need to configure this setting via local group policy
on each machines.
