Were you installing using the App Store? If so it may have timed out but still given you confirmation in the update window.
Check by clicking on About This Mac under the Apple menu item. The first splash screen will tell you what version you are running.
If it is still the previous version then i would suggest to download this from Apples support and download page as it is quicker and more reliable.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

Start OS X Mail.
From the Mail menu, select Preferences.
Click Add Account.
Click the Account Information tab.
From the Account Type menu, select POP.
In the Description field, enter a name for this account.
In the Email Address field, enter your Verizon Online email address (format is [email protected]).
Type pop.verizon.net in the Incoming Mail Server field.
In the User Name field, enter your Verizon Online user name.
In the Password field, enter your Verizon Online password.
From the Outgoing Mail Server menu, select New.
The SMTP Server Options screen appears.

For some reason iTunes is not allowing me to buy anything because it will not recognize my password no matter how many times I reset. I do not get the incorrect (red) password message, it just resets the login screen although my user name remains. Any suggestions? My password was recognized in order to log onto this site.

The email notificaiton option is not working when I need a reminder of my password. No email is received. I can redeem a gift certificate but can not spend it!! Have also forgotten my security question so can't use that option

To what password are you referring? Do you mean the lock screen's passcode? If so, see IPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen. -
I have gone into every help thing I could find and tried everything I could but nothing changes. I hate chrome and IE but I am going to have to switch to them if I can't get it to work. One person who seemed to have a similar problem said something about reset but I can't find any place where I can reset firefox.

Thanks9.2.3 is not compatible with Mavericks. You'll need to go to the App Store and download the iPhyoto 9.5 version. It will be free. Move your current iPhoto version to the Trash bin and try the App Store again.

I have a Windows 2003 Server 64-Bit, and when I upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1 now it won't run, it keeps saying to restart the computer to complete the installation, but I've restarted theserver 4 times, and I still can't use it.
I ended up putting it in DFU mode. It's kinda hard to tell it was in DFU mode because nothing showed on the screen, it was just black, but the sounds from the computer helped to tell me it was connected.
Itunes still didn't recognize the device for whatever reason.
So I used redsn0w. I don't know if I can say that on these forums, but considering itunes was worthless at this point I am going to give credit where credit is due.
Now I am giving itunes a second chance to upgrade to 5.1, if it doesn't work, well, back to redsnow and maybe I will even jailbreak it this time rather than just using the fecovery fix found under extras. -
I purchased Lightroom 5 and Elements 12 and installed them on a computer. I now have a new computer, and wish to install them on the new one. When I tried to do so, my only option seemed to be Adobe Cloud. When I was asked for my LR serial number, it was not accepted. I recently did a system update and installed Yosemite on my Mac. Now I am unable to open CS5 at all. The error message I get is this: "To open Adobe Photoshop CS5.1, you need to install legacy Java SE 6 runtime." I have tried downloading this and it still gives me the same mess
In the details it is mentioned that it is an outdated version of Java.
Is this a security risk that i need to live with to get CS5 to run with Yosemite?
Also i need to reject messages from Java in the future about updates, or not?

I am installing itunes to a laptop and have not sync device to this lap. It is saying that it must first restore device. The problem is I have over 2000 pictures and don't want to lose them. Now my phone is in restore mode and I don't know what to do. I don't want to proceed and loose these very important photos of family. What do I do to get it out of restore mode? My phone will not allow me to do anything to it at this point. I have the itunes downloaded on the laptop now. When I push the button for the phone it just shows Itunes and plug. I can't even call or open phone up.
Unfortunately... Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...

Using a computer, other than the one you have regularily been Syncing and Backing up to, was the begining of your issue. -

It's likely that the new drive isn't working, or it wasn't installed correctly, or you had some other hardware fault rather than a bad drive.

I just updated my 3gs to the latest iOS 5 update and now I am unable to text certain numbers. I keep getting the error code 1121611611 invalid number, even though the number I have in my contacts is a 10 digit number. Any suggestions on fixing this?

Now look for C:\Documents and Settings\''username''\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles or some part of that path, or your actual profile folder, which would have had a semi-random name, typically ending with default, or the bookmarkbackups folder, which is the ultimate prize.

To recover your old Firefox settings folder (profile folder), try using a utility like Piriform's Recuva:

That needs to run ASAP before deleted files are overwritten.
