10.2.0.3 Windows 64bits (AMD) CRash

Hi,I found a issue on 10.2.0.3 64 windows. Sometimes if one client 8.0.5 or 8.0.6 try to connect Database , the instance crash.
I try to find a solution with Oracle but until now no solution.
I have some clients with forms 6i instaled and a 10g client, and sometimes the conection to database crash the instance.
After try some diferent client configurations I found if anyone who knows the tns and try to connect to database with query builder 6i without know any username or password, crash the instance.
Anyone have this problem?

Sorry to bump into this thread but i'm in the same boat...at least, i'm planning to use Forms/Reports 6i with a 10g R2 db...Checking the certification matrix tells me it's desupported because Forms/Reports 6i is desupported.
It sounds from your thread here that you are running Forms/Reports 6i against a 10.2.0.3 db...are you having any problems? or is all ok? Also, i have a designer 6i repository that i plan to port to 10.2.0.3 although it's desupported also.
Anyway, given that i will be in the same situation, i thought i would ask if you are having problems...the fact that the client could crash the database is indeed a severe issue...something i don't want to see.

My test database also crashes intermittently after
applying the 10.2.0.3 patchset on 64 bit (32 bit is
stable). No error messages in the alert log and no
trace files on the server but the Windows service
dies.
Forms & reports 6i is in use but I haven't been able
to reproduce the problem at will yet.

Is it true that current version of Mozilla Firefox including its updates can currently cause Windows 7 and/or Windows XP to crash?

I was advised in the first week of September 2013 by our IT contractor, that the current version of Mozilla FireFox (and its updates) is causing computers with Windows 7 to crash? (NB: specifically, we have Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1, 64bit). Is this still the case, and if not, do we need to upgrade to a newer version of Win7 (if one exists). Also, is there currently a problem with using Mozilla Firefox on a computer with Windows XP Home Edition, version 2002, service pack 3? NB: We have a server and our computers are on a network.

That shouldn't be the case but most likely what I can think of is the graphics driver conflicting with Firefox. We can troubleshoot this issue if you'd like to.

I updated to itunes 11, uninstalled it according to directions, and re-installed itunes 10.7.021 for windows 64bit. Now Iget the message itunes library.itl cannot be read because it was created by an earlier version of itunes

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 17 f042nr Notebook and issues with performance issues or improper shutdowns.
I checked the specs of your system and with what you have posted here you have the incorrect Amd driver installed. Your's as per your product page is a AMD Radeon HD 8610G . I would go to the device manager and remove all graphic driver, check the box for the driver as well.
Here is a document on recovery options that are available. I do use the refresh your pc method with Windows 8. Please read all the documentation before starting the operation.

Windows 10 - AMD GPU Problem

I recently upgraded to Microsoft's new OS, Windows 10 (Was Windows 7 Pro). Before the upgrade, Microsoft's system check stated that all my software and hardware was compatible, so I decided to upgrade. The problem is that all my hardware wasn't completely compatible. My computer kept on crashing after a few minutes after start up, I did some research and the problem was my AMD Radeon HD 8750M GPU. I had to disable the GPU in order to even use my computer. Windows 10 & my computer works fine now, but I am wondering if there is an updated driver for the AMD Radeon HD 8750M. I tried checking for driver updates through Window's Device Manager but received this message: I also went on HP's site to check for the drivers:

There is currently no option for Windows 10 however. Will my AMD GPU have an updated driver released soon? or is my GPU unsupported now? If the driver is out there, I would like the link to it please, thank you. I would also like to note that my NoteBook has switchable graphics and I am currently using my Intel GPU. If I attempt to install a driver and use my AMD card, then Windows 10 will crash and give me an "Internal Battery Error" and reboot my PC.

256 Ram pc 133
Geforce 3 ti200 detonator 40.71
hdd 20gb maxtor
Windows 2000 with SP3
directx 8.1
4in1 drivers
the problem is windows hangs and the 4 back leds turn all green on any application and more specially on games like quake 3, i want to know if its caused by some drivers? or do i need to install a patch for windows 2000 that fixes some AMD issues or mobo problems?

Sure you can Install a lv application manually. just copy the exe-file,
support files in a folder. For the runtimeengine just copy the file
lvrte.dll in the folder of your application or in the windows system folder.

If you still have the crashed Win computer, you may be able to recover your music and movies from the hard drive. If you have a friend with a hard drive USB connection kit and a PC, they should be able to help. Otherwise, check locally for computer services that might do that for you (I think Best Buy Geek Squad may be able to help). If the drive itself is in good shape, it shouldn't be too expensive.

Ejecting iphone causes Windows Explorer to crash

Hi Guys
After I've synced my iphone in itunes when I eject or remove the iphone from the dock Windows Explorer always "crashes", well it restarts and windows says there has been a problem.
I've got the latest updates for both iphone and itunes. i had the same problem with vista as well (I know I know!).
Any ideas about how to prevent it? Its not terminal just a bit of a pain.

I don't think that this is an iPhone issue. My wife uses Vista and a 3GS and doesn't have the same problem so my guess is that it's a PC config issue.
Have you tried posting on a PC forum?

I have a brand new HP laptop windows 64bit that is having issues installing Itunes 10.6.3. Whenever attempting to install, I get the error message : "THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE WINDOWS INSTALLER PACKAGE. I have tried extracting the itunes package and installing the executables seperately, but everytime the error stil arises. I cannot repair the apple software update as it cannot install from the error mentioned above. Looking through the logs, it shows error : 1721, problem with windows installer package.Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try?

I recently upgraded to 8.1 and ever since then windows has been crashing when I play games. I have tried to update my graphics drivers from the manufacturers website and also from Intels website but everytime I download the driver I "Need", it

IRQ errors are most commonly caused by hardware or driver problems. Downloading updated drivers is the right direction to look in. If you are experiencing errors stating that your system is not compatible with the drivers there are a few possible causes.
Verify that the drivers correspond directly to the components in your system and are downloaded directly from the manufacturer. This could mean the system manufacturer for an OEM system or for custom built systems can mean the manufacturer of each separate
component.
Verify that the drivers you have downloaded match the architecture of your environment. You can see the architecture of your system by right clicking the Start Button and selecting System. Under System/System Type it will show either 64 bit Operating System
or 32 Bit operating system. Be sure the drivers you download match.
Verify your operating system core files. If you have verified that the architecture, Windows version, and components match the drivers you are attempting to install, some other factor could be affecting the validation of your operating system’s configuration
during install of the drivers. You can run the
System File Checker (SFC) using
SFC /ScanNow or use the
Repair a Windows Image functionality of the Deployment Imaging and Servicing Management tool (DISM) to check your core operating system files for corruption or issues and to repair them if a problem is found.

Windows 8.1 crashes when connecting to lenovo ultra dock 135w (Ubuntu also installed)

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T440s. It's partitioned with Ubuntu 14.04.1 lts and Windows 8.1. When I connect it to my ultra dock 135 w in Windows 8.1 the ThinkPad crashes with a blue screen. The error thrown is igdkmd64.sys and system_service_exception.
This problem only occurs in Windows. I can boot Ubuntu without errors, but not Windows. Also if I boot to Windows without connecting to the dock, but then connect to the dock when I'm logged into Windows it also crashes immediately.
I'm using two monitors, one with hdmi and another with dvi. I'v also tried with just the hdmi and the dvi.
I have checked the forums and I've followed all the steps found in this thread http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T440s-Ultra-Dock-2-external-monitors-causin...
This has not solved the problem. Is there a solution to the problem I'm experiencing or does the ultra dock simply not work when you're dual booting Ubuntu and Windows?

We have been having this issue continuously as well. Have been contacting Lenovo support to no avail. Drivers / firmware are up to date, and we have 40+ users experiencing this issue. DiplayLink drivers also up to date.

If the issue still exists check in safe mode. If the issue does not persist in safe mode perform a clean boot troubleshooting to find the conflicting 3rd party software.
Here is how:
Step 1 Safe Mode
1. Restart your computer.
2. When the computer starts you will see your computer's hardware being listed. When you see this information start to gently tap the F8 key on your keyboard repeatedly until you are presented with the Windows 7 Advanced Boot Options screen.
3. Using the arrow keys, select the Safe Mode option you want.
4. Then press the enter key on your keyboard to boot into Windows 7 Safe Mode.
5. When Windows starts you will be at a typical logon screen. Logon to your computer and Windows 7 will enter Safe mode.
6. Do whatever tasks you require, and when you are done, reboot to go back into normal mode.
Step 2. Clean Boot
You are required to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing this and then disable or remove it.
Here is the procedure to do it:
Clean Boot Troubleshooting:
1. Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
     User Account Control permission.
     If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the
     password, Or click Continue.
2. On the General tab, click Selective Startup.
3. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the Load Startup items check box.
4. Click the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All.
5. Click OK.
6. When you are prompted, click Restart.
7. After the computer starts, check whether the problem is resolved.

I had my first longform project completed in FCPX and tried sending it to Compressor 4 and got this result over and over again.

Sorry to say I've not had any success in getting Compressor 4 to work. I've tried every suggestion mentioned earlier on this topic to no avail. Compressor 4 is dead in the water. On the last two projects I had to go back to Compressor 3.x.xx to complete the projects. The only hint that I have of wha may have happened concerns something I did early on. When I bought this computer I decided to replace the hard drive with a larger one. Since I already had my software up and working on the drive that came with the computer I decided to clone everything to the new larger drive. As I recall, Compressor 4 worked on the original drive but it doesn't work on this cloned version. So maybe there is a relationship there. I haven't had a chance yet to reinstall my old drive and see if C 4 works on it. If it does work then I know the source of the problem but not how to fix it on the new drive. Did you do anything like cloning your drive recently too? It's just a thought and may not lead anywhere but later this week when I catch a break I'll give the old drive a try and will post my results.
