Nicolas,
I have checked support.oracle.com before post first message and all patches is for AMD platform.
Nothing for Intel x64 (( => no patches since Oracle DB for Windows Server 2008 x64 bit was released
There are some.
Go to Patches & Updates tab.
Click on Product or Family (advanced search)
Product is Oracle Database
Release is 10.2.0.4.0 (you could also check 10.2.0.4.1, 10.2.0.4.2 and/or 10.2.0.4.3)
Plateform is Microsoft Windows Server 2008 64bit (AMD64/EM64T)

  • MMC problem with IDS CS3 on x64 Windows 2008 Server

    Hi,
I have installed IDS CS3 5.0.3 on Windows Server 2008 x64. It works fine on the command line and the service starts up OK. However, when I go to MMC and try to add the plug-in to configure my instances, the IDS plug-in is not in the list.
This is not a problem on a 32-bit installation. Therefore I assume it is something to do with 32/64 bit versions of MMC. (I had a similar issue with ODBC configuration, there are two configuration apps installed (32 and 64bit), one has a shortcut in the admin tools and I need the other one)
Can anyone shed any light on this or had the same problem?
    And I can't go to CS4 yet.
    thanks,
    owen.

    At a command prompt, try:
    cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS3 Server
    regsvr32 InDesignServerMMC64.dll
(substituting correct install path, if that isn't right)
Note 'InDesignServerMMC64.dll', not 'InDesignServerMMC.dll' - MMC requires an x64 compiled snap-in when run on an x64 OS.
That should bring up a dialog saying regsvr32 succeeded. You may need to have opened the console window as administrator for that to succeed on 2008 Server.
    Then re-launch mmc.exe & it should appear.

  • Running ADS on windows 2008 x64

    Hi All
I need to find out if ADOBE Document Services (ADS) can run on windows server 2008 x64. I know that according to Note 925741, ADS is not supported on a Windows 64 Bit servers but on 32bit servers, meaning you have to install it separately.  My question is, since this note details windows server 2003 x64 as not supported by ADS, does this still hold for ADS (NetWeaver EHP1) on windows server 2008 x64 servers (being new and all).
Anyone who can assist, please advice
    Ronny

    Hello,
this is listed in the PAM. http://serivce.sap.com/PAM
But the exact answer is yes, the ADS supports x64 Windows 2008 installation.
    Only IA64 is not supported.
    Best regards,
    Dezso

  • MDM 7.1 Installation on a Windows 2008 Cluster

    Hello everyone,
We have a two node x64 Windows 2008 Server cluster.
We have just installed MDM 7.1 (MDS & MDIS) onto the Microsoft Failover Cluster which already has an ABAP system and a JAVA system installed.  Each of these systems has it's own Cluster Service/Application as required, with shared storage (saploc & sapmnt share for each install).
The only way I can get the MDM services to start (SAPMDQ_04 & SAPMDQ_05) is if the local saploc share is removed from each node (c:\sap\usr).
The following entry exists in the Windows Event log when the MDS or MDIS service tries to start
Unable to change to Directory C:\usr\sap\MDQ\MDS04\work. (Error 3 ESRCH*: No such process OR: The system cannot find the path specified.) [ntservstart.cpp 1053]
This path is not valid which is why the service doesn't start but I cannot work out why it is defaulting to looking at the saploc share on c:\usr\sap.  MDS and MDIS are installed on the shared cluster disk which is v:\usr\sap so why does it not pick up this share i.e.
SRMQAMDMCI\saploc.  (SRMQAMDMCI is the name of the Client Access Point for the MDM cluster service)
-> I can browse to this share perfectly fine
Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Regards
    Dave H

I was just wondering if you found a solution to this problem.
I am currently installing a multi-sid installation on 2008 and getting the same problem.
The first <SID> was fine, but now when I try to install the the second <SID> I am getting the same problem with the saploc when installing the SCS.
The install recognizes the the Virtual saploc, but when the service starts it tries to use the physical saploc.

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 - Windows Update Errors...

    Hello,
I've a windows 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1 server that I've applied Windows updates to this evening. A large number were successful, however there are 13 that will not install and keep on failing. I've run sfc/scannow which found and repaired some
errors - restarted server - no difference.
Please see windowsupdate.log output below (apologies for the length). I've tried installing individual updates from the 13 but it makes no difference and the errors are just the same. It seems to be the same error for each update although unfortunately doesn't
mean much to me. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks gents.

  • 10g Express Edition on Windows 2008 Enterprise R2 x64 with Active Directory

I have successfully installed the 10g Express Edition on Windows 2008 Ent. r2 x64 with Microsoft Active Directory Domain Controller but i could not be able to run http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex
Although i have run the http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex on my another Windows 2008 R2 x64 ant WITHOUT Active Directory Domain Controller Role.
i think its related with AD Domain server role of my server, because i run that on same config and operation without Active Directory Domain Controller role.
Can anyone help about this issue?
    thanks in advance

I have experienced the same problem - running 10g Express on a Win 2008 (32-bit). When not being a Domain controller, the install was fine. When installing after the server had been given the Domain Controller role (+the required DNS), it failed. NO FIREWALLS are involved on the server. Seems like Oracle Express has problems being installed in this kind of environment - independent of x32 or x64 bit OS.

  • Windows 2008 Server Enterprise R2 x64 and Perc 4/dc SCSI driver issue

Hello all, this is the first time posting so please forgive me if this has been posted here before.  I did try to search this issue but zero returns.
OK, I have a Dell PowerEdge 2900.  I have just put a fresh install of MS Windows 2008 ENT. Server x64.  I cannot seem to find a driver for the PERC 4/dc SCSI controller I have installed.  I have been told the 2003 x64 driver would work so I attempted to install that driver but was unsuccessful.  Then I was told by Dell that the driver should be native to the OS.  Is the driver native to 2008 Server (or, supposed to be)?  Does anyone have an answer as to where I might retrieve am driver of the controller if not?  Anyway, thanks in advance

    Hello,
I don't have a PowerEdge 2900, but I do have a PowerEdge 2850.  I'm also just a regular bloke like yourself that just happened upon your post and after I figured this driver debacle out I registered to hopefully help.
The good thing is my PERC card is the same in the PE2850 as it is in your PE2900, as I'm utilizing a PERC 4/DC.  I've also managed to run into the same issue you ran into(?) trying to load Windows 2008 Server Enterprise R2 (support for 32bit processors have been removed in R2... so no more x86 versions... my poor PE2650s never stood a chance with this OS).
I can tell you officially from my experience/research Windows Server Enterprise R2 does not have support built into it for the PERC 4/DC card.
However, I was able to download the Windows 2003 x64 driver from support.dell.com and make it work after much trial and error with newer releases of the PERC 4/DC driver that were not accepted by 2k8R2.
    Here's the link:  http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=RC956904&l=en&s=hied&releaseid=R100373&SystemID=PWE_PNT_P3C_2850&servicetag=FBCLP61&os=WX64&osl=en&deviceid=6396&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=3&libid=35&fileid=129549
File name (incase Dell moves it on you guys) is "perc-w2k3-6.46.3.64-A01.exe", date released 6/9/2005, build version 6.46.3.64, and the Dell revision number is A01.
Even though it states the driver is for the LSI Logic PERC 4e/Si it's sort of a mega pack including many other drivers such as the PERC 4/DC.  This was much relief because I was thinking I would need to stick with Windows 2008 until I found this driver for Windows 2008 R2.  :)
    What I did was:
    1) Downloaded the driver and extracted it to a USB drive.
    2) Booted-up via the Win2k8R2 CD and when it got to the screen where it asked to install to a partition and didn't show me a partition to install Win2k8R2 to I selected the option to load a driver.
    3) From the load driver option I just browsed to the directory where I extracted the files and selected that directory.  If the "hide devices that are not compatible" option is selected (normally on by default) it will show you the proper driver.
    4) Select the PERC 4/DC driver and then setup your partitions the way you would like them!
From there you should be able to boot into the OS... and really have some fun.
Now you have the power... I guess the choice is yours to R2 or not to R2... that is the real question.  :)
    Enjoy!
    Dave
Thanks and this worked for a Power edge 1800, PERC 4/DC as well. Kukan

    Hi,
I'm experiencing issues with Adobe Reader 9.2 on a windows 2008 x64 server. This box is running Terminal Services.
When a user open a pdf and wants to attach it to an email, reader simply crash !!
Does someone have ever experienced this kind of issue ?
    Thanks.

Does this happen for all the files or only files greater than a certain size?

  • Is there any documentation concerning Contribute and Windows 2008 x64

I have the impression that it may not be posssible to use
Contribute on Windows 2008 x64 Enterprise server.
    Has anyone had any luck?
    thanks

    Hi PREM,
If I understand correctly, you want to use SQL Server Authentication log to SQL Server Integration Services.
Based on my research, only Microsoft Windows Authentication is available for SSIS. So we cannot use SQL Server Authentication log to SQL Server Integration Services. Besides, we can only add OS users in the DCOM Config permission area.

    Problem solved.
    Solution:
    1. Create two files, Reposcan.bat and Reposcan.txt
    2. In windows 2008 x64, right click on reposcan.bat and select "Run as Administrator"
    3. When running the first time, remove the "-repair" option from reposcan.txt. Check the results in the ouput diectory
    4. Before inserting the repair option, backup CMS, CMS_Audit tables and also the entire Business Objects Directory
    Reposcan.bat
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\reposcan.exe" -optionsfile "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\reposcan.txt"
    Reposcan.txt
    -dbdriver sqlserverdatabasesubsystem
    -connect "UID=xx;PWD=xxxxxx;DSN=xxxxxxxxx"
    -dbkey xxxx
    -repair

  • Certification for Windows 2008 R2 x64

    Hi,
My customer wants to know if OEM 11g Grid Control R1 is supported to be installed (Repository, OMS and Agents) on Windows 2008 R2 x64. Repository will be on DB 11gR2 to monitor OFMW 11gR1 components (11.1.1.3) which are running with Sun JDK 1.6 64-bits).
Certification Matrix (Doc ID 412431.1) in My Oracle Support seems to be not updated as it does not shows OMS 11g, only OMS 10gR3 and R2 are available.
Is there a date for this support/availability?
    Thanks,

  • Msiscsi.sys crashing in Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter x64

After enabling MPIO for ISCSI one of our HyperV Clustered Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter x64 servers has been unstable, crashing 3-5 times daily.  I've had to take it out of service and after analyzing the dump file it seems there is an issue with msiscsi.sys and overlapping drivers 'tssecsrv' and 'tdtcp.sys'   This all started occuring after we enabled MPIO to connect to our Promise Vessraid ISCSI using MultiPath I/O over iSCSI.  We are connecting using two intel network cards to 2 gigabit ports on the VessRaid.  Other than the Intel network drivers (v14.7 package version 11.0.103 7/14/2009) and Intel Matrix Storage Array 10R drivers, everything is Microsoft (OS, patches, iscsi initiator, HyperV, MPIO)  Any ideas and where to start?

  • Jinitiator & IE8 On Windows 2008 R2 x64 Server - Please Help!

    Hello All -
I am wrapping up configuration of a Citrix Xenapp server for a presentation to my manager. The ONLY thing that I cannot get working is jinitiator for our Oracle apps. It is running on IE8 on WIndows 2008 R2 x64.
I have done a lot of research and replace jvm.dll from Java, but haven't been able to get that to work. My guess is that it's either because I'm downloading the incorrect version of Java (which I extract the .jvm file from) or that i'm running x64.
Please give any suggestions to help. I've spent hours on this project and if I cannot figure this out and have to go back to a different version of OS, then it's all lost -
    Thanks!

    Great - Thanks.
Will this need to be something that it installed/configured on my machine with IE8 installed or will changes need to be made to the actual Oracle server? We don't manage the server so hopefully it will be the client end.
Thank YouAs long as you have the necessary version of JRE installed, you should be good. Necessary application changes/configuration must be made in order for it to use JRE.
