10.2.1.2141 , Q10 and APN

Looks like the never ending story about changing APN continues with OS 10.2.1.2141
As I understand it has to do with OS and how a flag on a SIM is read.
I have read all the posts I can find, used escreen:// and engineering screen but still nothing - APN is not saved
Any help is appreciated
(or maybe you know how to pressure BlackBerry to release a fix and end this for good)

Q10 and Z10 cannot have the same email address??

Hello Everyone!
I have this weird situation going on:
I have purchased a few months ago a Q10 after having a Z10 for a several months.
I have swithched the new Q10 with the phone number that i mostly deal with, and left the Z10 with the second number.
The issue is: I have registered my Gmail email address on the Q10 and everything works ok, as soon as I try to set up the same address on the Z10 the, on the Q10 it stops working and magically it works on the Z10.
How can I solve this thing? Is annoying!
I want both my devices to have the same gmail account running.
Please advise.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
If you truly are talking strictly about email (and not, for example, BBID), then that should not happen. I have the same GMail accounts integrated to my Z10 as well as my Q10, with no difficulties. Note however that my Z10 is integrated via ActiveSync and my Q10 is integrated via IMAP, but they both work correctly. I can think of no reason why it does not work for you, and can only consider that you should remove the email account integration from BOTH devices, and re-integrate it again to both and see if a fresh integration will help your situation.

RESTORING BACKUP FROM Z10 TO Q10 AND OUTLOOK ISSUE!

just yesterday I got new blackberry q10 and now its been 8 hours am searching and trying to restore my z10 backup to q10 and am getting error says (incompatible device restore) please need help and I wanted to export my z10 contacts to outlook but I searched allot but I did nt see any option of exporting contact please if anyone can help i'll be very gladfull to hiim please

The iPhone does this automatically - has since the original iPhone and iOS 1.0 was released 5 years ago.
If you have wi-fi enabled and your iPhone is in range of an available wi-fi network the iPhone has connected with before, your iPhone will connect to that wi-fi network automatically. When leaving the range of the wi-fi network, the iPhone switches to cellular data automatically. This swich back and forth is automatic and seamless for wi-fi networks your iPhone has connected with in the past.
The iPhone will connect to the fastest internet connection available, but not automatcally for a wi-fi network your iPhone has not connected with before.

Easy solution for Q10 and POP email setup

I am posting a suggested solution to all of the POP email headaches for anyone running OS 10. I recently upgraded from a Torch 9810 to the Q10 and have had an awful time trying to intall and run my sympatico.ca email accoun in the new OS 10. I understand this is an POP email account.
I have stumbled upon this solution quite by accident - not one of the so-called tech experts at Bell or Rogers Wireless, despite countless hours spent on the telephone and in chats with them, were able to suggest this to me, which I found quite astounding!
All fo the tech experts kept telling me to install my sympatico.ca email account as a POP account - despite dozens of attempts, it would never work and sync properly!
The solution? Go into the advanced email setup options and choose Outlook as the account type, not POP, Exchange, or anything else. Enter your email address and account password and do not change any of the default settings that OS 10 will give you. Just finish the set up and, presto! You have access to all of your account folders and sycing seems to work magically.
I hope some of the tech experts at the Internet and wireless providers read this forum from time to time...it could save frustrated customers many hours!

It's possible that Sympatico has recently enabled Exchange Active Sync (EAS) access. If so, that is a great thing for all Sympatico users.

Q10 and Microsoft Exchange Server

Please help!
I got the Q10 back in May. The IT at my work is not going to upgrade the server to support the BES10 and has no plans on doing so in the near future. All I am told is they will not support the Q10 or Z10 models. So I had to reactivate my bold 9900 after a few days and the Q10 is gathering dust on a shelf.
However, we do have external access to our email account through microsoft exchange and I know my colleagues with iphones have an application that allows them to sychronize with their work accounts via the exchange. Does the Q10 have anything similar or is anything in development? If not, I may have to sell the Q10 and move on as my 9900 is kaput.

If Microsoft ActiveSync is available on the Exchange server, you can add your email to your BlackBerry Q10! From Settings>Accounts, click on Add Account then click on the Advanced button at the bottom of the screen then choose ActiveSync. Enter the information to add the email account!

Giving up Q10 and going back to Torch

Hi everybody
I've finally cracked (like the screen on my Q10) and I'm dusting off my faithful old 9800 Torch. I did try my best to get on with the Q10 but it's just not working.
The thing is, how do I sync all my stuff from the Q10 to the Torch?
Any help would be much appreciated :-)

You can't sync from the Q10 to the 9800.
You can sync from the Q10 to Outlook, using Link.
And then, from your Outlook, using the Desktop Software, you can sync Outlook to the 9800.
Or, You need down load some separate app like Intouch Contacts from AppWorld, which I believe works on both the Q10 and 9800, install on both devices and backup and restore contact data that way.

Good generic car holder for Q10 and Z10

Can anyone recommend a good car holder that can hold both the Q10 and Z10 (under $15 preferrably), suction type?
No I don't carry two phones the Q is the other halfs.

Q10 and apptix exchange

I have a client who has a Q10 and continually has issues with his q10 loosing connection to the server and not receiving or emailing out. The only fix for him is to delete the account and add it back.
I had his account on a Q10 simulator with no issues and his outlook and other devices are fine..
He even got a new q10 with same issues.
I erased backedup and resotred his entire profile to a new email account and still does the same thing.
any ideas?

where do I see 10.2.2? Well, installed on all of my BB10 devices, for one. 10.2.2.1531. Depending on how you are looking for it, you may or may not see it. If you are depending on the on-device update or LINK, then you will only see what your carrier has approved. But, via Sachesi or AutoLoader, you can install any OS for which you obtain the necessary files.

Q10 and BB WS-430 Headset Not Working

Hi...
I have a Q10 on AT&T running BB10 OS Version 10.2.1.2141, which I've tried to get working with the BlackBerry WS-430 premium wired headset (link is below) with no real luck. Sound comes out of the headset but the volume buttons don't work, the play/pause button doesn't work, and there's not skip forward and back.
Is my headset faulty OR are other people have the same issue?

How to add mms and apn in ios 6.1.3

I can not figure out how to use the iphone configuration utility. Where and how do i enter the mms proxy, mms, apn and so on so i can fully use straighttalk. I know nothing about this stuff at all, it was so much easier on ios 4.3.5.

Once your device is already updated to iOS 7 you can no longer downgrade it from the previous version. If you have partially downloaded or it was just completed and prompting you to install if there will be option. Simply go to Gen>reset>erase all contents and settings. This will restore your device to its original factory settings activate your device using apple I'd via wifi or sync to iTunes using apple I'd.

BlackBerry Link does not recognize my Q10 And now can't install Link anymore

Hello, i had Link installed since few months working correctly. Suddenly, when connecting my Q10 with USB cable a pop up appears on my phone saying it is connected, however, my terminal shows as deconnected on Link. Usually, when i was connecting with USB, a pop screen appears asking for password but it is not thé case anymore. It does recognize That is connecting since it does open bblink but not when it is openned. There is no Way to get thé password screen to connect my q10. I hâve tried to desinstall And reinstall BlackBerry Link And now i CAn't even load thé software anymore. An error And it does uninstall everything again. Did tried via BlackBerry website And also with thé USB connecting my q10 directly. Thaïs Way is even worst since it does not even load. An error message saying That hâve à problem with RIM Is someone have an idea of what is going on And how i CAN get this fixed? Because now i can not sync or back up my phone. Thanks

Sounds as if your iPhone was hacked to release a carrier lock
