10.2 Device Software for q10 - How can I have unlimited sync?

Hello,
I just got my BB q10 and the new 10.2 software is installed.  My rogers email account allows me to view emails from only up to about a week ago.  I have read through the  forms that there was a resolution to this when the  10.1 software came out - there was an "unlimited sync" or "sync forever" option, to go as far bask as one wants. I've tried going into settings under the email account and towards the bottom there is an option for sync interval, but not for a sync timeframe.  This is critical for my as this is a work oriented device for me.
Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
First off...OS levels are always 4 octets long, not 2. And within each OS level there have been a multitude of improvements and changes as it has evolved. Hence, with only 2 octets of the OS levels in question, it's rather impossible to know exactly what your situation is/was.
But, in general, the existence of the setting you speak of is controlled by the email protocol that this account is integrated as (which I note you did not reveal). If it's EAS, you can change it later. If it's IMAP, you can only set it once at the time of integrating the email account, and can never change it afterwards. If it's POP...well, I'll not even go there...POP is rather ancient.
Good luck and let us know!

  • HT4623 Hi, I need help on how to update software for my ipad1, can someone help me?

Hi, I need help on how to update software for my ipad1, can someone help me?

The iPad 1 can not be upgraded beyond 5.1.1. If you haven't upgraded to iOS 5.1.1, see the info below.
If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4972
Also read the instructions from the section entitled "Update your device using iTunes" at the link below.

Information regarding transferring purchases from your iDevice to iTunes on your syncing computer can be found at the link below.

I haven't got an option for software update? How can I update my ipad2 to ios5.1

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

i don't know how it happened but my camera was deleted,i tried downloading it from app store but i can't find it there,i tried downloading other photography app but it didn't work for it says my device has no camera.how can i get my cam back?

Default apps are part of the iOS and cannot be deleted.  Search all home screens and all folders and/or search for it with Spotlight, that will tell you what folder it's in.
Also check Settings > General > Restrictions to see if it has been restricted.
If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

  • I have an old 1 phone 3 gs and need to update to ios software but when enter settings , general on phone there is no " software Update " option - how can i update to later version of ios ?

I have an 1 phoe 3gs and need to download newer version of IOS but when n settings , general - there is no Software Update option - how can i update to a leter version of IOS ?
    THANKS

Update it from iTunes on a computer as described at the bottom of this article; devices running an iOS version prior to 5.0 can't be updated straight from the device. It will be updated to the newest iOS release supported by the device’s hardware.
The maximum iOS version for the fourth generation iPod touch and iPhone 3GS is 6.1.3.

  • Need Device software for Telus 8330/O.S. 4.3.0.124

    Hey Everyone.
This is my 1st post here. I'm looking for the device software for OS 4.3.0.124 for the Curve 8330. Both the BlackBerry site here, and the Telus site, do not have the software, so this seems like a big oversight for RIM. If you could provide the link or give me some info on how I can obtain it, I would appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How can I have 2 devices on one iTunes?

How can i have 2 devices on one iTunes so that they share the same music but have different apps? Is there a way to do that?

Each can sync with the same playlists, or different ones, and can have different apps...
Uncheck the Automatically sync new apps box on the Apps tab after connecting each device and before syncing. Once this box has been unchecked each device should remember the setting and only sync the apps that have already been selected for it, plus any you then decide to manually add to the list or purchase on each respective device.

Hello. Anwers for 2 questions as below:
    1. Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support
Get help restoring from an iCloud backup - Apple Support
    2.  You can manage iCloud in system preference on Mac OS X or download control panel for Windows.

Hello! I was on my Mac and then I clicked on iTunes. Then I clicked on Account, and accidentally removed my device from my Mac, how can I get it back? Also when I plug my iPod into the computer, it downloads everything that is on my computer, how can I stop this. please help! please help!!!!!!thank you

Is the iPod still singed into the account isn Settings>iTunes and App Stores and SettingsZ>iCloudl? If it is then I would not be concerned.
    Also see:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
since you may have started the 90 day window.
For the other "problem", go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says Prevent iPod....automatically syncing.

  • I am running OS X 10.5.8 and don't see an iCloud icon in my system preferences.  I do see a Mobileme icon but I would like to have all my mac devices on iCloud.  How can I get iCloud on my desktop?

I am running OS X 10.5.8 and don't see an iCloud icon in my system preferences.  I do see a Mobileme icon but I would like to have all my mac devices on iCloud.  How can I get iCloud on my desktop?

iCloud requires 10.7.2 or later. See the following about how to upgrade:
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.

hi i am using mac os x 10.5.8 but this os is not supporting few software updates.so how can i get a better version of os?,,this os not supporting google chrome and i tunes 7..

The next Mac OS version os 10.6.
Below is a link to some details how you can obtain that for your Mac.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4368218
After you upgrade to 10.6 and update to 10.6.8 you can buy version 10.8 online at the Mac App Store.
That will provide the basis for any of the latest software you now want.

    Hey everyone in Apple world!
I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP!  Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
    Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process.  Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal.  No flashing yellow screen anymore!!
(Note that I arrived at this solution when I first saw this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570?viewlocale=en_US)
Let me know if this works for you!

You have to have enabled Find My iPhone on your phone before it was lost in order for it to be located.  If you did, you could play a loud two minute sound on it even if it was on slient, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmfc0f19b5.
