10.3.1 updation interrupted.

I am using BB Q10. I tried to update to the new OS 10.3.1. I could download the software but this got interrupted at 98% while instalation. Can someone help me to solve it?

I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using...
Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)
Good luck and let us know!

  • ITunes update interrupted by power failure - now can't install

Gateway computer running Windows 7.  I've run iTunes without issue for years.  I had the bad luck of having an iTunes update interrupted by a power failure.  I got error 193 when trying to run it afterwards.  During subsequent attempts to reinstall, I also get error 7 (Apple Mobile Device Service failed to start).
Here's what I've tried so far:
    - uninstalled iTunes in the proper order according to Apple help docs, rebooted, attempted to reinstall.  Received error 7 twice during install, clicked to ignore both times.  Received error 193.
    - uninstalled again, searched for leftover files in various folders as spelled out by Apple doc.  Reboot/install.  Same problem.
    - uninstalled again. Searched for and found stray registry key related to iTunes.  Deleted it and attempted install.  Same problerm.
    - uninstalled again, and attempted to install as administrator (the login I'd been using the whole time was an admin login, but I was grasping at straws).  Reboot/install.  SAME PROBLEM.
I am beyond frustrated.  Why won't this install work?  What is the problem with the Apple Mobile Device Service?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)
If you still have issues with AMDS try the steps in Install missing components and/or review HT203188: How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows.

  • OS 10.1 Update Interrupted without recourse

After the OS was downloaded, the interruption came during installation. In the software update under settings menu, the message I get is> The software download was interrupted. Please try again. The cancel update button doesn't do anything. The screen on top shows Update available, Version 10.1.0.273 - size 0 MB. So what are my options or course of action. The link software updated to the latest version is not showing any software update. There was a post on crackberry listing a way to update from www.blackberry.com/updates which doesn't show any update button either. There is no option on the phone to revert back to the factory settings. I am not sure if wiping the data will revert to the previous os version so that I can try the update again. Btw, my phone otherwise is working fine. It hasn't been nuked or bricked.

I downloaded the OS 10.1 release from rapidberry.com forums. You will have to sign up for it. Here is the link:
    http://rapidberry.net/leaked-os-10-1-0-1609-now-available-for-blackberry-z10-stl100-1/
The above link is for STL100-1. Other versions are also available for download.
    How to install instruction:
    http://n4bb.com/leaked-blackberry-z10-10-1-0-1429/
I have been using the updated version 10.1.0.273 for few days already and found no problems so far. However, data restoration wasn't successful. The link software was only able to restore 10% of data and would just stop without hanging. I tried twice but gave up. Thanks to hotmail, i have all my calendar and contacts entries intact. I had to go and make all the email accounts and download the applications which were available in My world. The only major loss was data of my "Ice Village Game" where I had gone to the 33+ level. It seems that blackberry still has some work cut out for them.
    Best of luck!

  • Software Update Interrupted... now my MacBook Pro won't boot

I'm not really sure what happened. I was installing the 10.5.5 software update, as well as a few other things using Software Update and got to the point when I had to restart my computer. So I tell the computer to restart and then wander off for a minute or two.
When I came back the computer was off, I was gone for barely two minutes, so I know that the updates hadn't installed and I'm assuming something happened to interrupt the install. But now the machine doesn't boot at all.
I get the gray screen with the Apple symbol, and then the computer freezes at as light blue colored screen. Can't use the mouse or anything, not even a "beachball of death" as it were.
I have no idea what to do, I'm using my Windows partition right now. Any suggestions?

Or maybe simply by booting off your MacOS Install Disk and "updating MacOS" (sometimes you can "update" your MacOS with the install CD, if you're on the same version ...
Otherwise you could need to reinstall MacOS (hard but better than a piece of steel ...)

  • IOS 7 update interrupted, phone won't operate

So I had to delete stuff off my phone to get enough space for the update. it started updating and after an hour it had a small amount left. I was told it can take up to 2 hours, but I was at work and had to leave so I disconnected it thinking it would cancel the update and I could start over at home. Well now it won't turn on and the image that displays when I connect to ituens is says I still need to connect. Then it says I have to restore it and wipe it out. I'm not sure it synced all the way so Im afraid I will lose some data that I don't want to. Apple support ***** because it will only let me chat with a rep if I have the serial number. The phone is stuck and the box is from the original phone I had that died, when I got it replaced I never got a box so I cant get access to a serial number. What the **** do I do? I have no other phone and verizon and apple are closed. It says my version is the lates and won't update until 10/3. What do I do?
    Mandy

You will find your serial number by connecting to iTunes.
Try restarting your device holding down the sleep/wake button with the home button. If that doesn't work, try restarting holding the sleep/wake with the vol. up (+) button.

  • Problem after 10.6.2 update interrupted

Would be great if someone could help me out! Unfortunately my batt ran flat halfway through the most recent Mac OsX update and its left me with a questionable OS state.
The main problems I'm currently facing are,
    1. long start up times (around 10 mins)
    2. unable to shut down (system requests that I hold down power button instead)
    3. finger slide gestures do not work
I've spent the past afternoon trying various ways to 'fix' my problem. Pretty sure it has to do with the start up files of somesort.
Here's what I've done so far,
    1. tried reinstalling Snow Leopard - does not work as I've got to restart halfway through thus prompted with the 'holding power button' command
    2. used Disk Utility - shows that I've got no problems whatsoever, have run Disk Repair either way to no avail
    3. booted from Snow Leopard CD - did this to run my Disk Utility once more
Great thing is that I can still access my OS and files. Battery life seems to be affected as well.
Thanks beforehand to anyone who helps me out, appreciate it heaps!

It prompted me with the normal Welcome screen in which I had to reconfigure all my settings eg. language, user accounts, mobileme which is why I have a whole new user profile. Doesn't look like my previous one is there anymore and currently using Windows through Boot Camp to log on.
do look in /Users. I'm quite sure your old home directory should be there.
If I remember right there's a Folder named Recovered Files or something, more importantly where are my iPhoto photos stored?
    in your old home directory.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the Time Machine restore because that's my only other source of back up. The unfortunate thing is, even with my 'new' OS it still doesn't seem to be running smoothly (problems still persist).

  • Software Update Interrupted When firmware was bein...

i recently tried to update my phone firmware on my own , everything was ok, download was complete (77mb) and installation started, phone screen got blank (as normal) but when there are 4 minutes remaining , my n73's battery got empty and installation halted with an error message!
Now my Phone is dead! screen got blank forever since 4 days.
    phone is not starting up.
    what will do now??

Take it to a Nokia Care Center they should be able to reactivate it.. The Updater gave you a warning to update only when you have full battery, did you not full charge it before doing an update?
If you find my post helpful please click the green star on the left under the avatar. Thanks.

  • Security update interrupted... now WON'T BOOT?

I just did the most recent software update, installing the new security update thing, but my MacBook froze in the middle, and now it won't start up.
All I see is a a screen with an apple and a little spinner, like I normally do at startup, but it doesn't go away. I've left it for 10 minutes, and nothing.
The trick is, I can't find my restore disks. Is there any way to resolve this without them? Maybe put the thing in firewire HD mode, and put replace the system files from another computer?
    HELP!!!!

You need to find the install package that shipped with your Mac for a number of important reasons - the ability to run Disk First Aid repair and in case you ever need or want to perform an Archive & Install or an Erase & Install or re-install an individual application, etc. In addition if you ever sell your Mac at some point, the person that makes the purchase will want and expect the install package that shipped with your Mac when new which is model and build specific.
I strongly suggest that you contact AppleCare with your computer serial number available to request a replacement install package for your Mac. I believe all you will be required to pay is a shipping and handling fee and keep the replacement in a known/easy accessible/safe location.
You can run fsck via a command line which is not as good as running Disk First Aid repair via Disk Utility when booted from your Tiger install disc but better than nothing. You can't replace any system files from another Mac - how would you know what to replace and you would need to do so from an identical model and build anyway which is why you need to request a replacement install package.

  • IOS update interrupted TWICE - help please!

    Guys I need help please.
My internet connection is really bad. Last night, my iOS 6 update was 8 minutes from completion and my internet cut out, and about 5 minutes ago, my internet cut out again while my download was like 400 MB through.
Every time my internet cuts out, it completely restarts the download.
Is there any way I can find the downloads and start off from where they stopped?
    Any help greatly appreciated!!

One option would be to manually download the *.ipsw files from  another computer with a better connection and then install the IPSW from the first computer.  I actually prefer this method, even in an environment like my work one where we have lots of bandwidth.  It seems to be more reliable.  If you have plenty of bandwidth you can download the *.ipsw files pretty quickly.  At work I downloaded the 983 mb file in just over 2 minutes..so maybe try a public Internet place.  Just do a search on ipsw download for iOS 6.

  • 10.5.4 update interrupted...NEED HELP PLEASE

Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I REALLY need help.
I was updating to 10.5.4 today, when my laptop crashed while it was 49% into the install of the update. It said that I have to manually shut down the computer. After that, the computer loads the "User Login Information" screen and whenever I login with my password, the screen goes blue (as if its logging in) then goes back to the login screen. And no matter what I've done, I can't get passed the login screen and into the OS.
Is there is anyway I can fix this or revert back to what I had before?
If you need to know, I have a PowerBookG4 17"
    Thanks In Advance
    Ray

Is there is anyway I can fix this or revert back to what I had before?
Only if you have a data backup. You can try data restore options on my FAQ*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
If you don't have one. If you got a four language screen telling you to restart, that's a kernel panic, and you'll want a backup or restored data in any case to isolate what caused the kernel panic*:

  • Automatic updates interrupt important tasks

Auto Updates used to happen at shutdown. That was ideal!  Now they frequently happen when I've typed for some time and don't always return to what I was doing or I have to reinput what was lost. Schedule options only include "hours" -not "at shutdown". Help!

    Hi,
You can change this behaviour using either the Group Policy Editor, or with a modification to the registry if you don't have GPE - see the guide on the following link.

  • BIOS Update interrupted - Toshiba e305-s1995

    Hi,
My laptop was giving me this cooling system warning we all know about, when I googled and tried to search for solutions, one of them was to update the BIOS, that I did, or tried to, at least. Everything was great, downloaded the files, put them in my USB stick, started the installation process, when it did, my computer just shut off in the middle of the process. I think it was due to overheating, like it had done it before. The computer was sitting on a flat table, with a pedestal fan on it.
Now when I turn it on, it won't even display anything, just lights up the keyboard, and when it has to turn the screen on, it just starts all over again like a loop.
Now to the solution, what are my possible solutions? Is the BIOS chip removable? Do I have to change the motherboard, and if so where can I find it (I live in the Dominican Republic)? Is there something I can do to fix it? Or do I just forget I had a laptop? Please, I need any help, if any of you know how to solve this, I would be very grateful.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Ios 7.1 update interrupted, phone stuck with apple logo

My husband just bought a new 5s today and was updating to ios 7.1 while plugged into his Mac.  He knocked the phone off the desk as it was updating and it came unplugged.  Now the phone is stuck with the apple logo on the screen with the progress bar below it.  He can't shut it off and iTunes doesn't recognize it when he plugged it back in.
What should we try in order to restore it to functioning again?
He's pretty p*ssed at himself right now and is phone less.  Not real pleasant around here. <g>
Thanks for any help you can give me.
    Paula

    Try this:
Connect the phone to the computer. Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the screen goes black and then the Apple logo reappears. At this point, release the power button but continue holding the home button. iTunes should pop up telling you it detected an iPhone in Recovery Mode. Follow the prompts to restore.
