10.4.10 adds M8 support - isn't this DNG?

I thought that the M8 used the 'standard' DNG format i.e. the linear format without the embedded native RAW file (not sure of the exact name), which you could use Adobe DNG for to convert your Canon, Oly, Nikon etc. proprietary RAW to.
Now I know that Aperture doesn't support this type of DNG, but only DNGs with embedded RAWs from cameras it supports natively, so does anyone know how M8 support is implemented? Or does the M8 in fact use a proprietary RAW and not true DNG?

people have the misconception that DNG is a standard
for RAW data. It is not.

I'm afraid that that's exactly what DNG is - a standard for RAW data. (At least in it's linear form). Read Ian Wood's post for a description of the 2 different types, of which Aperture only supports the first type. Hence the views that Aperture's DNG support is incomplete.

of RAW data, there are no such thing as a universal
RAW format.

entries on DNG issue.
The DNG issue on Aperture is that it does not support the linear format, which is the 'universal' format, only the DNG format which has the original RAW embedded within it.
It's not a perfect solution by any means, but if Aperture supported the linear DNG format, then this would be a method by which RAW files which are natively unsupported by Aperture, could be processed.
The M8 is supposed to use the universal format, and Aperture supports it. So how come it doesn't support DNGs converted from any other camera? Perhaps it does actually have a proprietary RAW format the M8 isn't quite as DNG as advertised, in which case the mystery is solved, or it is DNG and something else is going on.
I'm a programmer (with a programmer's curiosity) and I have Canon D-SLRs. My interest in this matter is purely a case of "How does that work?"

SDK-17362 - GraphicElement.getBitmapData doesn't handle 3D transforms
Added in support to take a bitmap snapshot of a 3D transformed GraphicElement.
Added a flag to getBitmapData to return a bitmap of the target either in the local or global coordinate space.
Also, fixed a bug in the bitmap snapshot logic for a 2D GraphicElement that was sharing its displayObject.
Note that the 3D snapshot isn't accurate if you have set maintainProjectionCenter on an ancestor. There are also limitations when rotation is applied. In addition, getting a local 3D snapshot isn't too accurate once you start scaling ancestors.

The video tag only supports a few formats and MKV (Matroska Multimedia Container) isn't one of them.<br />
Your only option is to use the object (or embed) tag and use a player that can handle that format.<br />
If might be better to switch to the WebM format.<br />

Add-in support on Office 365 click-to-run installed and Office 365 App-V installed

Hi,
We have to make a decision on deploying Office 365 via on premise click-to-run, with the Office Deployment tool, or via App-V. But the way add-ins are supported on Office 365 / Office 2013 on App-V 5.0 SP2 is not clear to me.
Some Technet sites mention that for add-in support on an App-V based office, the add-ins should be sequenced and put together in a connection group with the Office App-V package (created by the Office Deployment tool)

When testing with third party applications and Visual Studio installed in a classical installer way, the add-ins are added to the App-V installed Office, but we are sometimes experiencing error messages in word / excel with the add-ins

There is a new feature for Office 365 Pro Plus, it allow administrators the ability to exclude App element. We need to use Office 2013 Click-to-Run (Build 15.0.4615.1001) and logon as administrator.

I wish to return to 3.6, lack of add-on support makes 5.0 useless. How?

The answers I found referred to a URL that was useless for finding earlier versions. I prefer FireFox to other browsers, but without the add on support that no longer exists, others will prove more useful. Help?

Not able to add Select Supported Document Types

Completed till 5.3 - Task 2 (Add a User in the Oracle B2B Interface)
And the Next thing,
I am not able to Add Select Supported Document Types.When I click on the "Add supported document type for the selected user", i can see "CUSTOM", "EDI_EDIFACT" etc... but in that screen my "Add" Button was disabled.
Please let me know how to proceed with this.

Unable to add XML support for the jws created

Hi,
I have created a web service, with a method called "Query".
I would like add an input parameter to this method using XML bean types.
I am following the weblogic workshop tutorials(http://edocs.bea.com/workshop/docs81/doc/en/core/index.html), topic Tutorial:Web Services.
I was able to complete steps 1,2,3 described.
However Step 4 Point 7, i fail to see the schema elements.
Could you pls let me know the reason for the above.
Pls find attached the screen shot of the failure of step 4.

What version of Essbase Excel add-in support 64 bit Windows 7 on our PC?

1) Can anyone tell us what is latest version of 64 bit Essbase Excel-add-in 11.1.1.3.x and will this latest version of Essbase Excel add-in support 64 bit Windows 7 on our PC?
2) we downloaded Essbase excel add-in 11.1.2 and was not able to connect to Essbase 11.1.1.3 server. It gave an error message - "This version is newer than the Essbase server." Is there a workaround? (we were hoping 11.1.2 would support 64 bit windows 7)
ps. There is a knowlegebase article that teaches us how to get Smartview 11.1.2 to connect to Essbase. We could not quite follow the badly written KB artible, but Ms. V from Oracle tech support claims she was able to connect and she wrote the article.
We did manage to get Smartview 11.1.2 to connect to Planning 11.1.1.3!!

I am able to connect using Essbase excel add-in 11.1.2 and see the list of Essbase server 11.1.1.3 app/databases. However when I tried to select one of the applications/databases, I get the Essbase warning "This version of Essbase 11.1.1.3) is older than the version of the Essbase API (11.1.2.0) you are using."
I get sent back to Essbase system Login screen and am asked to select a app/database. Add-in keeps giving me the above message - none of the 11.1.1.3 databases would allow me to connect.
I guess you guys did not experience this problem?

A brief search. Or even glancing at the "more like this" list to the right will show that this is a known problem and there is no current solution. Workaround includ saving to the desktop and importing from there or opening in Quick Look and adding to iPhoto from there

I really want use JavaFX in my new project, a web app in IP Camera.
Current JavaFX only support HTTP streaming, but the IP Camera is output RTSP stream.
Is there any plan to add RTSP support?
I think it is a very important function in surveillance application.
