10.4.11 to 10.5.2
Hello, i have a macbook pro 10.4.11, and they got me: i hafto upgrade to 10.5 for my iphone4.
When i put in a 'Mac Pro OSX 10.5.2 install disc', then the installer comes up and asks me a language, and then when i click 'english' then it says, "OSX cannot be installed on this computer".
Someone please HELP???
Note, if you are thinking your Mac G4 is a MacBook Pro, think again. No G3, G4, or G5 is a MacBook Pro. There are Powerbook G3s, Powerbook G4s, and then there are MacBook Pros. The label is under the screen, and that's the label you should use when describing your profile. In 2006, Apple changed the names of many of their models as they moved from the G5 processor to the Intel processor. The ones that are Snow Leoaprd compatible are listed here:

If you are indicating that you have both a Mac G4 machine and a MacBook Pro then this message is probably redundant other than to indicate your G4 may max out at 10.5.8.
