Recently we upgraded Financial reporting studio from 11.1.2 to 11.1.2.1.
When we open FR studio and login to FR studio, FR studio crashes with error "Financial Reporting Studio has stopped working".
Any pointers to the above issue is much appreciated.

Final Cut Studio crash after OS 10.6.5 update
10.6.5 and Final Cut Studio.
Final Cut studio is not working after 10.6.5 update. Have spinning ball of death on many projects and exports from FCP crash Compressor and DVD Studio Pro (or they crash of their own accord)
Question: Reinstall FCP??
Question: is anything lost when deleting current FCS??
Do not want to roll back to previous OS. Have done too much stuff since, and it's complicated.Question: Reinstall FCP??
As a last resort, maybe. Have you tried using Disk Utility to repair permissions?
Did you install the ProKit 6.0.1 update? There are some threads here that advise not to do so.
You can find out by opening the Software Update pane in System Preferences and looking under the Installed Updates tab.
Question: is anything lost when deleting current FCS??
The applications, accompanying media content, associated libraries etc will be removed. You will not lose project files or media that you have imported from cameras or other sources. -
Management Studio Crashing When Adding SSIS Step to SQL Agent Job
Hi
I am running Windows Server 2012, SQL Server 2012 SP2 CU2, SQL Server Management Studio 2012 and Visual Studio 2012.
I have existing SQL Agent Jobs that run SSIS packages and they all currently work. However, if I try to edit them or add a new job that uses a SSIS package Management Studio will crash. I was having this problem a couple weeks ago when I was still
on SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU9, so I updated to SQL Server 2012 SP2 CU2 and the problem went away for a couple weeks and I was able to add new SQL Agent jobs that run SSIS packages. But now it issue is back and there are no new updates to try and fix it.
Has anyone seen this before and found a reliable fix to it?
Steps to cause crash:
1) Open new SQL Agent Job
2) Select Steps and add a New Step
4) Change the job type to SQL Server Integration Services Package.
5) SSMS Crashes

Thanks,
AnthonyI ended up being able to work around this without having to recreate everything on a Windows Server 2008 R2. I did this by setting up an azure point to site VPN from
my computer to the Windows Server 2012 hosted on azure. I was then able to connect SSMS from my computer to the Azure VM allowing me to create and edit new SQL Agent jobs that run SSIS packages. Here are the steps to do this
1) Connect to the VPN from another machine besides the server.
2) Open SSMS using the runas.exe command with the Domain\User Name of a Windows account on the server.
- Ex. Runas.exe /netonly /user:DOMAIN\USER "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\ManagementStudio\Ssms.exe"
2) Connect to the VM's Database Engine using its internal IP address and the port that SQL Server is listening on (default is 1433) and a SQL Login
setup on the server.
-Ex IP, 10.0.0.1,1433
3) Create a new job with the type SQL Server Integration
Services Package. Select the package source (SSIS Catalog). I could not get the server to be automatically discovered here so enter the server’s internal IP address and select the package you want to run.
4) Right click the new SQL Agent Job and choose Script Job As, CREATE To, New Query Window. This is the script to create the
SQL Agent Job and it needs to be edited to contain the Name of the server on the internal IP address that was used earlier.
5) Edit the @command= line of the script to use the server name. Change the highlighted part below to the server name.
- Ex . @command=N'/ISSERVER "\"\SSISDB\PACKAGELOCATION\"" /SERVER
"\"10.0.0.1\"" /Par "\"$ServerOption::LOGGING_LEVEL(Int16)\"";1 /Par "\"$ServerOption::SYNCHRONIZED(Boolean)\"";True /CALLERINFO SQLAGENT /REPORTING E',
- Change to this
- @command=N'/ISSERVER "\"\SSISDB\PACKAGELOCATION\""
/SERVER SERVERNAME /Par "\"$ServerOption::LOGGING_LEVEL(Int16)\"";1 /Par "\"$ServerOption::SYNCHRONIZED(Boolean)\"";True /CALLERINFO SQLAGENT /REPORTING E',
6) Now change the name of the package in the script and run it. Now the new package can be edited in the GUI to change things like the schedule and alerts. Also you
can edit any existing packages. -
Finalcut Studio Crashing over and over
I have been having this problem for several edit sessions.
The finalcut Pro freezes several time per day. It only happens when I am working in the time line. It happens most often when I put the cursor in the timeline to jump and play from a little earlier in the edit to preview a change I had just made. The result is a spinning beach ball and an "application not responding". Sometimes it crashes, I get the spinning beachball and it quits itself, sometimes I get the spinning beach ball for a very long time and have to force quit. This is the 5th time today in two hours of editing.
I have used used "FCP Rescue 6" 3 times, I have repaired permissions and also used cocktail to do house cleaning.
I was having problems with the Smoothcam filter not showing up in the video filters menu after migrating my system from my Dual G5 to this new MacPro 8 core. So I reinstalled FCS and updated the software. Smoothcam came back. Then, a few days later, this problem started happening.
I am editing a 45 minute, 9 camera multicam show with no major effects outside of smothcam. smoothcam has completed it's processes and is not running when the crash occurs. I am using three video tracks
My configuration is as follows:
Hardware Overview:
Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro3,1
Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 3.2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 2 Total Number Of Cores: 8
L2 Cache (per processor): 12 MB
Memory: 6 GB
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Running the Latest Leopard and Latest FCS
The media is on an internal SATA raid there is plenty of headroom on both the system drive and the Media drives
There is no other software running
There are no plug ins installed
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Lydia

This isn't a good sign. The more stuff you have installed on your editing system, the more possibilities there are that something will go wrong. It's kind of a superstition, but it's based in fact: You'll have fewer problems with your editing system overall if you keep it lean and mean, running only the programs that are absolutely necessary.
Consider buying another internal hard disk — you've got room for four of them in total — and installing Mac OS X and Final Cut Studio on it. Boot from that system disk when you're editing. On another system disk you can install Microsoft Word, or Maya, or World of Warcraft, or whatever else you need for doing stuff other than editing.
When you do this, +do not migrate anything, period.+ If you need project files or whatever, copy them over by hand. Do not try to migrate your preferences or any of that stuff, because in part that's precisely what we're suggesting you get rid of.
(Side bonus: This will almost certainly solve your Final Cut problems along the way. Unless you're dealing with a hardware fault, like bad RAM or something.) -
Final Cut Studio Crash! Why?

I am working since a few years with Final Cut Pro 5,0,4.

SQL Management Studio crashes with DataTools installed
This error seems to be very random but once it occurs I can no longer connect to a server in SQL Server Management Studio. It was happening in Management Studio 2012 as well:
I have Visual Studio Premium 2013 with Update 3 installed.
SQL Server Data Tools for Visual Studio 2013
SQL Server Management Studio 2014
I can't verify this but it seems to happen after Windows Updates have been applied. I have to restart my computer in order to connect to a server again.

The SQL Server Data Tools for SQL Server 2014 is available, and this update is available for Visual Studio 2012 and 2013. According to your description, when you installed SQL Server Data Tools for Visual Studio 2013, the SQL Server Management Studio 2014
crashes. In theory , this version of SQL Server Data Tools is fully compatible with SQL Server 2014. Personally, I recommend you install the latest cumulative update or service pack for SQL Server 2014/2012, and install the latest cumulative
update for VS 2013. For more information, see:

Final Cut Pro, QT7 and the rest of Studio crashing constantly
OK, so I was experiencing slow everything and heard my 3 year old hard drive (from an Early Mac Pro 2008) was laboring.
I decided to replace the hard drive with a new one and start fresh.
I installed Snow Leopard on the new drive and then Final Cut Studio, ran all the updates.
I then installed Lion, ran all the updates.
I then installed all the Final Cut Pro plugins (Red Giant Magic Bullets Looks and FX Factory), ran all the updates.
Now, Final Cut loads up and allows me edit for 5 minutes and then crashes everytime.
Quicktime 7 also does this.
I'm an iPhone 4s, iPad2 user who likes Lion, but am seriously considering biting the bullet and going
back in time to Snow Leopard. FCP is my business and lifeline and I can't explain how much time, effort
and frustration this has caused over the last 3-4 months.
Does anyone have any advice as to why this happening? Everything was installed fresh + new on a
new hard drive.
I've run Verify Permissions and Repair Permissions.
I've also run Disk Warrior and had it go thru the Files to make sure nothing was corrupt.
I'm at the end of my rope. I would break down and buy a new Mac Pro, but I'm truly not confident
in Apple's support for Final Cut Studio anymore (especially under Lion).
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
DanGoing from SL to Lion is not advised. Start clean.
Install Lion. Run updates. Install FCS. Run updates.

FC Studio Crashing after up-date
Hi Everyone,
I've just made the recommended system up-date to MAC OSX 10.5.6 from .5, suddenly my FCP Studio & Color keeps crashing when I try to do anything. I've tried Print to Tape 12 times and it doesn't even get to the writing section before closing (I've even tried to transfer just 2 minutes in case I was over loading the system).

DanIt is Snow Leopard. Don't run SL with your version of FCP. So what this means you have to do is back up all your files, erase the hard drive, install the Leopard OS from scratch (10.5), then fully update, then install FCS, and fully update. And stay there.
If your FCS is an older FCS, you can't run the latest OS, typically.

Since upgrading my PC from Windows XP to Windows 7, I have been experiencing issues with HFM Reporting Studio. Whenever Iattempt to close or minimize a report, insert a saved object into a report, or do anything outsde of just basic formatting or inserting lines, I receive the following error message: "Floating Point Inexact Result". After I click OK in the message box, HFM then crashes. When I was on Windows XP, I never once saw this issue, but since moving to Windows 7, anyone who had installed Reporting Studio has experienced this issue. Has anyone else seen this issue before? Any idea of what a fix mightbe? I think the error might be related to Java, but I really have no way of confirming that.
You can check the supported platform matrix for the version you are using to check if the Client is supported on Windows 7.
have a look at the link http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/hyperion-supported-platforms-085957.html

ONE Studio crashes permanently
Hello,
I've downloaded and installed the actual version of ONE Studio Community Edition.
After the start of the program it runs about 30 seconds and then it crashes no matter what I do (creating a new project, coding, playing in the menu). I even succeeded in starting a little "Hello World - ConsoleApplication". So everything must be properly configured (or not???) I tried to find out what leads to the crashed but I was not able to find it out. It crashes simply everywhere and everytime (Even in the Info-Box of the software).
I work with a HP Omnibook xe4500 and WINXP Pro.
Thx
Klaus
PS: Is there any forum specially for ONE Studio?I have been experiencing the same problems. I downloaded and installed the Sun One Studio 4 Update 1 Community Edition on my Windows 2000. I have a clean stable system. I have java1.4.1_01 installed. I have Pentium 4 with 512MB of RAM. I really need the Sun One to develop a web database architecture for my office and it just simply crashes taking my whole system down. Even Ctrl-Alt-Del does not work. It just captures the whole system. The sad part is that there is no solution for it yet. I hope Sun realizes this and offers a patch.

Hi:
I have just received a MegaStick 256 (usb 1.1)
I am using Windows 98SE
The drivers install just fine
When I try to install the MP3 Studio application off the CD, it complains it cannnot find the following files in the standard skin:
Pause-3.bmp
Mute-3.bmp
Mute-1.bmp
mask-exit.bmp
I had to select "ignore" to get the install to complete
When you try to run the MP3 Studio, it crashes with "This program has preformed an illegal operation" after stuttering a second of distorted tone.
I copied some of the other bitmaps in the skin to those files, hoping it would at least open, but it had no effect on the crash.
Does anybody else have this problem?
Can any body offer any advice for getting it to work?
SteveJust trying CAF... there is a difference already, it has not crashed yet - it is beachballing... force quit... even hard restart... Open song...
:0
(later:)
But now it worked with the CAF files! After a restart... I thought converting to CAF would be a nice workaround, but when I converted back to AIFF, it also bounced flawlesly, with the same graceful politeness foreshadowed in the manual:
*"Note: Should the selected sample rate be higher than 48 kHz, a temporary copy of the bounced PCM file is created—with an automatic sample rate conversion to 48 kHz before encoding. This conversion takes place because the MP3 format does not support sampling rates higher than 48 kHz.*
*If the PCM option is disabled in the Destination pane, a temporary PCM file is bounced as a source for encoding to MP3/M4A: AAC and/or burning to a CD—in accordance with the options selected in the PCM page."*
I can now bounce both caf and aiff 2496 with no problem?! I'm almost disappointed...
I've tried every possible combination of settings, trying to recreate that very first resolute crash or this second freeze/bogdown... but no dice - logic poses her polite question and does what it's supposed to: bounce to MP3.
I made one methodological mistake though: I should have saved the original testproject just before hitting the bounce button. It was not saved and I had to create it anew. O well, Live and learn...
regards, Erik.
