10.4.7 update, not starting up

Question

I installed the combo version of the 10.4.7 update first, and got a tips of installing the normal version again for fixing som problems. But installing the normal version of 10.4.7 did not successfull installing and i got an error saying I should try to install it again. I tried, but still not working. I tried to reboot my mac, but now it wont startup. I get to he weel, but it just spinning, and nothing moe happend.
Anyone have a clue what to do?

Hi estigma, I hope you solved the problem by now. I just write to add that I had the same problem. I eventually solved this with the help of apple support and had to pay that for this service.
Pain is that I am not quite sure where the problem lay. Here is how we solved it:
- Shut down your Computer
- Disconnect all third party equipment and other extras.
- Open your CD drive manually if necessary.
- Try to start from system CD (C key held while starting)
- If you lucky you get now acces to your systempreferences pane/users/starting objects (terms may differ - mine are german - sorry) and untick all starting objects
- in my case I was able to restart when I unticked the „Suitcase Fusion starting object" but later I was still able to restart even if I left the suitcase ticked like it was before hand ... so, that is why I can not what originally caused the problem.
