10.4.9 update and flash players on the web give me no sound!
no sites such as myspace, youtube, bbc or even my own music sites gives me any sound after installing 10.4.9 this morning. is it possible to revert to 10.4.8? help!
This problem has happened before with 10.4.8 and earlier updates. Go to your Audio Midi Setup application, and make sure your sound output is set for 44.1 kHz and not something higher. Unfortunately the higher level which is found on SPDIF/Toslink capable Macs as a default is not compatible with many websites sound engines.

OS 10.6.5 updater and flash player
knowing that 10.6.5 updater brings flash player up to the latest available, I uninstalled the version of flash player I had installed (knowing Adobe recommends that you uninstall the old one before installing a newer version). So, I uninstalled it using hte provided adobe flash player uninstaller. I then ran the 10.6.5 updater and was surprised to find that it did not install flash player.
Can I assume that, in this the case, the 10.6.5 updater will not install (or update) flash player if it does not find it already there?I am confusted, the notes in the 10.6.5 says it updates your flash player to the latest one...

I just updated to 4.0.1 on my mac and now it says "Firefox is currently in offline mode and can't browse the web". It is not my internet since I am using Safari just fine. Any suggestions? I sure wish I wouldn't have updated!
Make sure that Work Offline is unchecked: File > [] Work Offline

Hi. My new computer had Acrobat on it. Suddenly, I was unable to open any PDF's. and then I tried to update and was forwarded to the Adobe site that said I had to buy a monthly subscription. I do not have the physical box with a serial number and was going to buy the one advertised on the website until I discovered it's only for students and teachers, which I am not. What should I do next as I need to use PDFs on a daily basis. Thanks! I would like to be able to download this and pay online. Possible? I currently have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I had an update massage for a wile on my phone and yesterday I decided to do the update and so I downloaded the soft w. and started to install but in the middle of the process the phone got stocked and said to connect to iTunes and so i did it and again the process gets interrupted first saying "the software on Iphone needs to be restored to factory settings or update" and so i do it..then it comes the message the an error -39 and I can not do it and it says that I need to restore..and so I do it..but its a circle and it never ends..and I have no phone since yesterday.. all my contacts, my work..

A little information will be of a great help, witch iPhone did you upgrade, memory , and version of software ( iOS 8.x.x )?
Try restarting you iPhone and make sure you have a god internet connection , get as close to your wifi router (1-3 meter / 2-9 feet ) as possible. Don't use restore to factory settings before you tried other options . And most imported du you have an iCloud backup.

Hi I have the old photo shop elements 10 on my computer and want to update and was wondering what the differences between photoshop, lightroom and photoshop elements are?
Also when I upgrade does it have to be with a monthly membership or can I just purchase the product out right like you use to be able?You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.

I want Insert/Update and Add Column at the same Table and at the "same" Time but in different sessions.
Example:
At first the "insert/update" statement:
Insert into TestTable (Testid,Value) values (1,5105);
After that the "add" statement:
Alter table TestTable add TestColumn number;
- sadly now I get the message: ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified
"insert/update" statement:
Insert into TestTable (Testid,Value) values (2,1135);
After that the execute commit.
I don't know when the first session set the commit statement so I want that the DB the "Alter Table..." statement execute if it's possible.
If it's possible I want to save a repeat loop with the "Alter Table..." statemtent.

You can't run a DDL statement against a table with transactions pending. Session 2 has to wait until session commits or rollbacks (or until the session is killed). That's just the way it is.
This makes sense if you think about it. The data dictionary has to be consistent across all sessions. If session 2 was allowed to change the table structure whilst session 1 has a pending transaction then the database is in an inconsistent state. This is easier to see if you consider the reverse situation - the ALTER TABLE statement run by session 2 does a DROP COLUMN TESTID rather than adding a column: now what should happen to session 1's INSERT statement? You have retrospectively invalidated a statement that was perfectly legal when it was executed.
