I am only getting the error on the page:
You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance.
but no detail 0 or any other stack trace.
I enabled, fnd_diagnostics and fnd_debug kind of profiles.
I am seeing about this link in other pages.
Any idea why i am not getting exception part?

Could you please provide the navigation details of the page wher you are having this kind of error.... I mean in which page of iProc you are getting this error? We assume that at no point of time you are using back button to go back to previous page in iProc.. Please confirm this as well..
Little bit of extra information will certainly help to understand your issue better...

I am new to OAF. We are on Oracle 11.5.10. I have a requirement to customize the iProcurement Home Page. The details are given below. Can you please tell me how to accomplish this task?
Requirement:
Go to iProcurement Home Page -> choose NonCatelogItems Tab
The first field on the page is "Item Type" of type "Message Radio Group"
What user wants is : when user enters this page, all the fields should be disabled until user chooses a value for "Item Type" field.
I know that I need to extend teh controller "NonCatalogRequestCO.java" by adding code snippet in "Process Request" method but not really sure.
I appreciate if someone can give me the details please. Thanks.

You approach is correct , but in addition to controller extension you need to make use of SPEL to make field hide or disable based on the
condition .

How to add link and image in oaf iprocurement stores page?

Hi Every1,
I have requirement to in iprocurement stores page. Already there are certain links ( a meaning full image+link ), by click on image or link it will take you to the
required page.
I need to add one more like that.
How can i do this ?
I know thru personalizations we can add links to the page, but how can i add image to that link. so that click of anyone will take to the req page.

3 Page Master Detail Wizard

Using the Create Page wizard to create a 3 Page Master Detail by selecting the "Edit detail on a separate page. Resulting pages are:-
1. Report on Master page,
2. Master Detail page (allows maintenance of Master row)
3. Maintain Detail page
However the linkage between the Master Detail and Maintain Detail pages are suspect along with the resulting Maintain Detail page.
On Master Detail page, displaying an existing master row, the user wants to create a detail row - pressing the [Create] button for the detail does navigate to the Maintain Detail page BUT it does not pass the primary key ID value of the Master row which was displayed.
Also when the user presses the edit details from the Master Details page then why should the displayed detail's lookup master primary key value ID updateable, if APEX is shielding the users/developers from the alleged problems of natural keys and leaning (supporting) surrogate keys then why is the detail's master key value ID updateable?
Also is there any examples out there which show the best way to implement Master with many details and also Master > Detail And Detail of the Detail. In the tutorials we are only exposed to simple data models that only have one level of details.

I am using the Create Page wizard, specifically the Form, Master Detail with Edit detail on separate page (as opposed to edit details on same page as master using a column report) to create a "3 Page Master Detail" as per wizard feedback.
Take for example the table Suppliers (master) and Supplier_Contacts (details) as a simple example.
Page 1 - Lists Suppliers as a column report on the Suppliers table with an edit icon on the P1_SUPPLIER_ID page item. Pressing edit icon will navigate to page 2 passing the P1_SUPPLIER_ID value as a parameter. Pressing the create icon will also navigate to page 2 but will not pass a P1_SUPPLIER_ID value.
Page 2 - Supplier & Contacts (Master Detail) page, permits edit (insert, update and delete) of Suppliers (master) and also displays the Supplier_Contacts (details) rows for the supplier_id of currently displayed suppliers row. The displayed Supplier_Contracts have an edit icon that will navigate to page 3 passing the supplier_id and contact_id for the selected supplier_contacts row. Also has a create button on the detail Supplier_Contracts region which will navigate to page 3 BUT the wizard has not passed the P2_SUPPLIER_ID value as a parameter as the data model and user action dictates.
Page 3 - Supplier Contacts (edit details on a separate page). My observation is that the Supplier_ID (foreign key to Master Suppliers table) is displayed as text item and is updateable when navigated from page 2 as an edit details transaction/event. Why on earth allow a user to select and navigate the Supplier and then the Contact to edit and then allow the user to update the master foreign key? Similarly if the user has selected and navigated to the Supplier (master) to which they wish to add a Supplier Contact (detail) why is the supplier_id (master PK ID) not passed to the edit details page and the supplier_id also non-updateable.
Hope this explains it a bit better.

Relation between base page and detail page

I'm new to OA Framework. I developed a base page and detail relationship page and in the base page there is a button on clicking of that button, Detail page is rendering .
but the related data with that button should come in the messagechoice box,which is not coming.
Could anyone help me out in developing this page.

j'ai un problème avec les pages principal-detail en effet, je fais la procédure et si cela s'affiche correctement en local en faisant l'affichage direct puis en visualisant le fichier sur mon serveur local, il n'en n'est rien sur internet après l'avoir transféré, seul le cadre du tableau s'affiche avec les en-têtes de colonne, mais pas les données.
je viens de faire le test avec un tableau dynamique et cela fonctionne bien.
Quelqu'un aurait une idée?

Navigation from UI map to Report Submission page using Script.

Hi All,
I have a requirement such that I need to pass the parameters from a UI Map to a report submission page. In such a case I’m able to pass single parameter but whenever I pass two parameters then second one overrides the first one. This leads to a problem when parameters are more than one. So is there is any way to resolve this issue I’m doing parameter passing using a BPA script.
OR
If there is a way by which I can submit a report by using a UI Map. Whenever an OK button is pressed on UI Map then automatically report submission happens with the parameter defined on UI Map. And BI publisher comes up with the report as a reporting tool.
If anyone of this works it will be fine.

I asked R&D about this, and they suggested you add the following command to your script before the VIEW==>REPORT transfer command:
Call WndShow("VIEW")
They said that showing the VIEW panel prior to exporting the map to REPORT makes a difference in the resulting image sent to REPORT.

Merging Pages with Detailed & Dynamic navigation

We are in an Federated Portal senario with a main portal (consumer) and two producer portal (Bi & xRPM).
What I need to know is if it is possible to merge in a same page an xRPM page with dynamic navigation and a BI page with detailed navigation.

We're currently trying to use the Remote Role Assignment with XRPM Portfolio Management. It works fine if we just use the out of the box Portfolio Management Role.
However, we're trying to use a custom role created on the producer and then merge it with another custom role on the consumer. It starts out working fine until it attempts to redirect to content on the Portfolio Hidden workset. Then it gives a runtime error. Any help you could give would be great!

How to add new validation for the iProcurement web page?

I am very new to OA Framework. Can you experts give me some guidance on how to proceed with the following customization?
My requirement is in iprocurement when you open a new cart and check out on "ICX_POR_SHOPPING_CART" there is a Project Field and reference to Charge account. If the users go to charge account (ICX_POR_CHECKOUT_SUMMARY) and enter the segment values ( which includes project segment) and enters a value in project segment other than '000000' with out entering the Project Field on "ICX_POR_SHOPPING_CART" the page should give error.
Please give me some suggestions on how to proceed.

I need the client side validation. By saying server side validation if you mean writing a triger on tables to validate then I am thinking to take that option as last resort.

Master Detail module returns to Master page after Detail record saved

Using Oracle Designer Editor version 10.1.2.0.2 I have generated a Web PL/SQL package
set up as a Master/Detail where the Master and Detail records appear in separate windows.
The Master window contains multi-records each with a link to the related Detail records.
The user clicks on the Detail link and the window that appears will allow the user to insert
a new Detail record. Once the user clicks the Save button I need the Detail window to disappear
and the focus returned to the Master records preferably after a new query is performed.
What are the steps I need to perform to navigate back to the Master page and close the Detail
page?

The simple answer is that to do exactly what you want would take some fundamental changes to the way the framework works. The actionInsert procedure does what it does - it saves the changes and redisplays the form. You can do post-generation changes to make it do something else, like return to the Master, but I'd advise against it.
But if you want a way to return to the Master window, where the user clicks a button or link on the detail form after saving changes, that we can do. Just make a note of the URL that does the initial display of the Master page - probably my_module_name$.startup. Go into the detail module component, and click the User Text tab. Then at Text Location, "Bottom of View Form" (or Top if you want the link there) add for a link:
htf.anchor('my_module_name$.startup','Return to Master')Or for a button:
htf.formOpen('my_module_name$.startup','GET')||htf.formsubmit('Return to Master')||htf.formCloseYou may need to set the SECECS preference for this module to "No" to get this to work.
An alternative to my method is to define an Action Item in the module that does a navigation. I often am linking directly to the View form for a master table, rather than a record list, as you are, and Action Items don't work well for that, but one might work fine for you.

Stale Data Error - iProcurement Receiving Page

Hi,
I created a button on the Standard iProc Receving Page result table region. When user hit on button it popup window using javascript:window.open(<Page info & Properties>). I am using popwindow to capture some details, and saving into database. But when i am closing and coming back to my main page(Recieiving Page) and navigating to next page it is giving me the Stale Data Error.
Interstingly this error does not come when the search is done using reqeustor or if i dont click on button for popup window. All other cases gives me this error. One info about this page is the VO which is showing in error should not execute all the time. There are lot of VO's which execute based on search fields entered. The VO belowi s one of them when reqeustor info is given in search fields.
Error: Stale Data
The requested page contains stale data. This error could have been caused through the use of the browser's navigation buttons (the browser Back button, for example).
Cause:
The number of displayed records, 25, exceeds the actual number of records, 0, in view object ReceiveItemsAM.ReceiveMyItemsVO. Some of the displayed records may have been deleted.
Any pointers will be appreciated.

Generally Oracle provide a global variable hr_general.g_data_migrator_mode and passing this as 'Y' should update who columns and object version number. But I am not sure it is available for vacancy APIs or not. I remember a similar kind of bug logged long time back.

How to disable automatic loading of iView/Page in detailed navigation?

We've upgraded our portal 7.0 from SP9 to SP12.
I've noticed that SAP have added this change: Whenever a user is navigating between one role/tab to another in the top level navigation the first folder at the detailed navigation is automatically opened and the first content there is automatically loaded.
I would like to disable this option - I've looked at the new properties that have been added to the detailed navigation iView between SP9 and SP12 and could only find these two: Display Parent of Hidden Node and Open Folder When Launched.
These two are not solving this problem and they are disabled anyway.
Any ideas...?

Role and Workset Hierarchy:
Folders F1 and F2 (Roles) are defined as entry points and therefore appear on the first level of the top level navigation bar. What happen is when we click F1 (Role), the underlying folders F1a and F1b (Worksets) appear on the second level. On click on F1a the first entry F1a (Workset) of the second level is activated and its contents (iViews) are displayed in the detail navigation and the contents of the iView is displayed in the portal page of the content area.
And same procedure happens with F2 role on the first level of the top level navigation bar. When we click on the F2 (Role) the underlying folders F2a and F2b (Worksets) appear on the second level of the top level navigation bar. On click on F2a the first entry F2a (Workset) of the second level is activated and its contents (iViews) are displayed in the detail navigation and the contents of the iView is displayed in the portal page of the content area.
I think need to configure levels of TLN which includes top level navigation, detail navigation and content area and then need to define the entry points.

How about fixing the bug report submission page ?

I've been trying for I think the 11 time to submit a bugreport to bugreport.sun.com and each time,
the submission FAIL. And of course you loose everything you entered in the page.
Email to the address specified when it fail also FAIL.
rejected by the server for the recipient domain sun.comby userp1020.oracle.com. [156.151.31.79].
The error that the other server returned was:
550 5.1.1 <[email protected]>... User unknown
Please Fix, a bug report page that can't even submit simple text its ridiculous.
This is not the first time I have difficulties getting your site to work.

SAP Web Page Composer: Detailed Navigation is not getting built

I am new at this forum. At first I´d like to say hello to everybody! :]
Our issue concerns the following:
We started to work mit the Web Page Composer to build websites für our workers. Everything worked fine until the detailed WPC-navigation is not getting built anymore. We have this issue after a portal restart. Every steps to build and publish a website were done the right way.
1. Publish navigation und paste it to the external connector of the role in the form "wpcnavigation:///wpcontent..."
2. Permissions and security zones were set. Even the super admin is not able to see the detaild navigation anymore.
It is still possible to put single webpages to iViews and then to display them in the portal. And every function of the Web Page Composer works fine. The caches are deactivated. I tried to build a new site with new pages and a new navigation but there is the same problem, no detailed navigation is shown in the portal navigation. The role is assigned to a user and he can see the role at the top navigation but when clicking on it no detailed navigation appears, just a blank page.
As I mentioned this iusse appears after a portal restart. What could be the problem?

I created a new role and also did the Initial Configurations but it still does not work. May be there is a problem with the external connector where I connect the WPC navigation with the portal navigation? I know it sounds confusing but is there may be a way I could "reset" the WPC configuration? Because at the moment I tried to merge roles the system saved "some configuration" and started to avoid displaying the detailed navigation. So if could delete/reset/change this configuration, it could be that the navigation will be displayed again? I do not unterstand, if I just use one role and so avoid merging roles it just should work again? Or I am on the wrong way? Hopefully I am not telling bull**** right now! :]
At this moment our system running SAP NetWeaver 7.00 SP18. The patch is only available at least SAP NetWeaver 7.00 SP20. We are probably going to upgrade in october to SAP NetWeaver 7.00 SP23 and then we can update the WPC, too. Our Basis said, I have to wait till october. Before this upgrade no updates will be done.
