10.5.6 makes MBA enter an endless update screen

Hello guys,
I downloaded the 10.5.6 update for my MacBook Air, and I installed it. In the middle of the process, the leopard aurora screen vanished, and it was replaced by a dark grey coloured screen, somewhat blueish, with a spinning wheel.
It's been like that fom over an hour now. I'm afraid to force quit, because I haven't brought Leopard Restore DVD with me, although my Time Capsule and iMac are here.
Can someone help me? Has this happened to you?

P.S.: I was running in battery mode, and had almost 2 hours left. Could that be it? Sleeping mode while installing the update?

I just finished updating my MBA and a coworker did the same to his machine and we did not experience the same end result. So the screen you're getting is certainly not part of the update, I've never seen a screen like on any update.
Are you still sitting with the screen and the spinning wheel?
It's possible that the update when to modify a corrupt system file. Did you do the 10.5.6 update and the Safari update to 3.2.1 at the same time?
Regrettably, the next step is to force quit (by holding the power button) on the machine. Perhaps the write to drive part was already completed and you'll be fine after the restart. It's also possible that the same is in an inoperable state and requires an Archive & Install. I think the bigger (potential) issue is that you might have had some directory/software corruption on the machine and the update brought light to that.

When I try to drag anything into the trash the message : Finder wants to make changes; enter your password. But I cannot trash the document/folder, etc. I can eject a disk/flash drive etc by dragging to the trash.

Choose your Home folder "Get Info" (command-i) and be sure you have "read & write" in the Sharing & Permissions section. Check under "General" section to be sure it isn't locked. If that is correct, launch Applications/Utilities/Terminal and at the prompt copy & paste this command…
mkdir ~/.Trash
Press return.
If you get a message that the folder already exists, copy & paste these commands...
sudo chown $UID ~/ .Trash
Press return.
Enter your admin password (it will be invisible)
Press return.Then enter
chmod u+rwx ~/.Trash
Press return. Log out and back in, or restart.

How can I make the Enter key adjust the exposure, as it should? I have reset the settings to Default in the Develop module but to no avail. Please help! Thanks.

I am not aware that the ENTER key should increase exposure, and it certainly does not increase exposure (or any other slider) on my Lightroom 5.6 (Windows 7)
If you click on the word Exposure, then the + and - keys increases or decrease exposure by 0.1 or -0.1

I was at the Apple Service. The problem was the 750Gb Toshiba HDD. It's incredible what noise can make that little thing
I didn't know the hdd position is on left on MBP 17" , I thought is the same position like MBP15"
I did't lose any kind of data.. it was fix on time.
Anyway, thank u guys....and don't forget that noise !!!

Just hold down on one icon until they all start to wiggle, then drag two on top of each other. If the app you're trying to folderize doesn't work, try a different one. Some of them will not easily go into a folder on their own. (for example, if you want to tuck newsstand into a folder, you have to use two other app icons to make the folder then quickly drag newsstand into that folder)

In my report two radio buttons and two bloc selection screens are there.When we select the first radio button first screen will be editable second screen will be non-editable vice-versa.
but the problem is in each selection screen one mandatory field is required suppose if i give the one field obligatory in first block screen it is not allowing the second readout please help me regarding this how i will make the mandatory field in both screens.

Dont Declare your field as OBLIGATORY.
Instead perform the validation in AT SELECTION-SCREEN event. But validation should be only when Particular Radiobutton is selected.
And Generate only Error Message (Type E).

Not sure this is a very useful thing. It would run down the battery. All a thief has to do is remove them SIM and restore the iphone to stop it from being tracked.
