10.5.6: "Unable to load Info.plist exceptions (can't get exceptions URL)"

Hi, all. I just upgraded my iMac G5 to 10.5.6 using the software updater. Now when I'm working with a terminal window open, I get messages like this:

The same broadcast messages: Unable to load Info.plist exceptions (can't get exceptions URL)
also I can't install nor 10.5.7 update, nor combo update. I receive the same Install Failed error message. I tried archive and install from original system DVD. Allways the same error message:
Install Failed
The source media you are installing from is damaged. Try installing from a different copy of the source media or contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
Did you find any solution?

Try resetting your network settings.
Settings>Genenal>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

Please do the following. 
#Use Internet Explorer to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0.1] 
#When you see the prompt, choose "'''Save'''" and save it to your desktop. 
#Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box''). 
#Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 
#Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier. 
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation. 
After you complete the installation, go to the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update those where necessary.

Did you fail to import your photos before updating? If so, then they are likely gone. You can try restoring from backup. If that fails then they are gone. You should regularly import photos to your computer, most especially before any update.
Did you fail to transfer any purchases on iphone ( that were not on your computer) to your computer before updating? If so, then you will have to redownload:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

My Googling has turned up no alternatives other than Apple's servers are congested and I just need to keep trying every so often. This error first appeared for me yesterday afternoon. Anyone else seen this or have some alternate solutions?

Turns out that I needed to remove armv6 from Architectures in Build Settings. Unfortunately I already submitted a support ticket, I hope this helps someone else.

Can't load App Store. Can't get OSX 10.6+ without it.

Help! I can't get the app store to load on my computer, I have tried every suggestion I could find, and none of them work because I don't have 10.6, and I can't get 10.6 if the app store doesn't load! I have 10.5.8 - and finally had to bite the bullet and buy Mountain Lion, which loaded on my macbook just fine - these problems are arising in my imac.

After getting the disc, make a backup of your files, insert the DVD and upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The DVD will install Mac OS X 10.6.3, so open  > Software Update and install 10.6.8, that includes the App Store. After that, open the App Store and purchase OS X Mountain Lion.
Before upgrading, check that your apps are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com When the download finishes, the Mountain Lion installer will appear, so follow the steps to upgrade to Mountain Lion

Cannot enter a URL in the URL window with Firefox 7. Bookmarks load ok but I can't enter a URL manually.

I just installed Firefox 7 and I can't manually enter a URL. I can't type anything in the window. The only way to get to any website is to load a bookmark. I am using a Mac Book operating Snow 10.6.8

Where does Siri get location info? How can I get listed?

I work at a local church and when I ask Siri about visiting the closest church Siri is way off. It tells me the closest church is 17 miles away, when there is one next door to my house and a dozen others closer to me. Any idea what is going on?

try clicking settings on your ipod then go to main menu and click playlists to see if that will work for you

I have an iphone 4S and I'm trying to find an audio file that was texted to me 10 months ago. Every time I try to "Load Earlier Messages", I can only get a few months deep before the Messages App crashes and I have to start from scratch. Any help?
