10.5.6 update broke clock / time

Hi guys,
I'm having trouble with my clock since this weekend when daylight saving time started. It has reset to Dec. 31, 1969. I think its 10.5.6, I updated about two weeks ago. I usually have clock set to the Americas-Apple server using my LAN. I lose correct time after reboots. My G4 w/ 10.4.11 at work gives me no trouble with the time change.
I used the downloaded combo from apple, not the auto update version since most forums/sites say it causes less bugs. All updates for apps are applied.
Here is what I have tried so far:
1) I had loaded Magnifique, an Leopard theme application. Removed it using app cleaner.
2) Tried to just set clock, w/o sync to apple server. Back to 1969 after reboot.
3) My clock battery is new, changed about 2 months ago. Used PRAM reset button, restarted in 1969.
4) Used TechToolPro 4 in case the Magnifique app did something, still got 1969.
5) I have a generic PCI Airport card for my G5, which works fine once I set clock, otherwise won't take password for network.
6) Time Machine works, just initially did a full back up when clock went screwy. Tested it and gives me my old stuff fine.
Any ideas would be apprecieated - don't let my Mac G5 act like a Zune.

It's fixed now, these are all my steps & results:
1) I suspected generic wireless card - plugged in wired ethernet, turned off Airport. Clock worked for about 2-3 restarts only.
2) Used Ext. Firewire HD. and loaded Original G5 10.3.5 discs. Clock improved to 2001 : ) Still would lose time after restart. I set clock manually & with server and neither would keep after restart.
3) Got new problem when I used Firewire HD. On a restart G5 seemed to load, but no video. (I have a Samsung 940bw widesrceen) A problem I have had before, so I tested it on a different monitor. G5 booted immediately on my brother's Sony in 1024x768 and readjusted to 1200x1024. But kept clock problem.
So I opened up G5, removed & reinstalled my ATI 128MB video card. Also removed wireless card and went back to ethernet just to be sure. Reset PMU. G5 again worked with my Samsung.
4) My brother thought it might be the HD, but I ran TechToolPro 4 and hardware test seemed ok. (previously I just ran it just to fix OS)
5) So He suggested I used the standard Windows repair solution: complete wipe & fresh install. I have always used the upgrade & save old OS on my G5 and not had problems. But since I have had it for 5+ years w/o a new install, I went ahead & used it as an excuse to do some spring cleaning on my unused apps. & files.
I loaded everything on my Firewire HD (listening Apple?) both from my main HD and my 2nd media HD. I did a complete wipe on both hardrives, and reinstalled everything from scratch. Loaded 10.3.5 G5 system discs and then straight to my Leopard disc with all updates. Did a PMU reset just to be sure too.
Clock now works. Several restarts from loading apps, and no problems. Fully unplugged overnight and started fine today.
Hope someone finds something usefull in my notes.

Automatic time is a function of your Wireless carrier. Your post indicates that your iPhone (5 or 5c) is running iOS 7.0.6. The current version is 7.1.1. You might try updating your device to the current iOS version.

C5 Clock time resetting to 3 am after update

After I updated my C5 to latest Finnish software for hardware and ovi shop my C5 has this problem that clock time resets to 3:00 am after it goes to sleep mode (dark screen).
This is annoying because now I have to buy an alarm clock for tomorrow since I can't use my mobile to wake me up! grr! Handle it engineers!

Airport utility 5.3.2 update broke configuration functionality

After upgrading to the newest apple airport utility I can no longer read the configuration of any of my airports. Using an extreme and airport express.
I open the application, it shows my 2 airport networks but when I try to run any kind of configuration on them then it stalls at the 'reading configuration' screen.
This is quite a serious problem for me as this effects a work network that I need to be able to update. This is like the 3rd or 4th time something that was supposed to be an update broke functionality. Very disappointing. If someone is still on the old version, perhaps they could eMail it to me ?
Specs of the effected computer and what it is effecting :
Intel 2.4gz iMac

How do i make a clock/timer that can be reset to zero?

I need to make this clock/timer to run my control off of. To be more detailed I need to ouput a steadily increasing voltage slowly over a period of time. I have my DAQ assist set up to output a voltage to my device but i can't figure out how to make the timer/clock correctly.

It seems you simply want to update the ramp at a constant dt, why would you need to reset anything?
There are two main ways to do this:
software timed: use a loop with a given delay and write single points to the output.
hardware timed: setup timing for your task and send the entire ramp to the hardware. It will do the rest. No extra code needed.

I was trying to set up automatic clock synchronization, so I went here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … e_Protocol to see how I could do that: first thing it says to install ntp, and that's easy, but then the configuration section is very different from the default /etc/ntp.conf coming with the repository package (version 4.2.6.p2-1), so this is the first reason why I think the article should be updated.
After that I started KISS-wondering why I should use a memory/bandwidth/cpu-eating daemon if what I want is just synchronize my clock at boot time, nothing more; in fact, configuring ntp that way is useful only for a ntp server, but I'm pretty confident that the large majority of people visiting that page are just looking for a way to sync their clock, so I think that the NTP part of the page should be split in 2 or even better 3 sub sections: 1) ntp server configuration (with ntpd running); 2) simple ntp clock synchronization (with ntpd running); 3) ntp clock synchronization (at boot time or as a cron event) (without ntpd running).
Subsection 3) should explain how to configure ntp.conf (and maybe /etc/rc.local ? I'm still studying on this) just to be able to have this command
ntpd -qg
automatically executed at boot time: maybe appending it to /etc/rc.local (but I'm afraid it's slightly more complicated than that, I'm still studying on it); it could also be reminded that it's possible to run that command at predefined time intervals by creating a cron event.

Ok, I finally managed to find the time to revise the ntp.conf section, this is my first attempt to it:

The first thing you define in your ntp.conf is the servers your machine will synchronize to.
NTP servers are classified in a hierarchical system with many levels called "strata": the devices which are considered independent time sources are classified as "stratum 0" sources; the servers directly connected to stratum 0 devices are classified as "stratum 1" sources; servers connected to stratum 1 sources are then classified as "stratum 2" sources and so on. It has to be understood that a server's stratum cannot be taken as an indication of its accuracy or reliability.
Tipically, stratum 2 servers are used for general synchronization purposes: if you don't already know the servers you're going to connect to, you should use the pool.ntp.org servers (http://www.pool.ntp.org/ or http://support.ntp.org/bin/view/Servers/NTPPoolServers) and choose the server pool that is closest to your location.
The following lines are just an example:
server 0.it.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 1.it.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 2.it.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 3.it.pool.ntp.org iburst
The iburst option is recommended, and sends a burst of packets if it cannot obtain a connection with the first attempt. The "burst" option should never be used without explicit permission and will likely result in blacklisting.
If you're setting up a ntp server, you need to add localhost as a server, so that, in case it loses internet access, it won't stop serving time to the network; add localhost as a "stratum 10" server (using the "fudge" command) so that it will never be used unless internet access is lost:
server 127.127.1.0
fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 10
The next thing you have to do is add the drift file (which keeps track of yours clocks time deviation) and optionally the log file location:
driftfile /var/lib/ntp/ntp.drift
logfile /var/log/ntp.log
Now all that's left to do is define the rules that will allow clients to connect to your service (localhost is considered a client too) using the "restrict" command; you should already have a line like this in your file:
restrict default nomodify nopeer
This restricts everyone from modifying anything and prevents everyone from querying your time server.
You can also add other options:
restrict default kod nomodify notrap nopeer noquery
In the past, "notrust" option was used too, but its function has changed to mean that authentication with a key is required.
Following this line, you need to tell ntpd what to allow through into your server; the following line is enough if you're not configuring a ntp server:
restrict 127.0.0.1
Otherwise you can add more clients like in this example:
restrict 1.2.3.4 nomodify
restrict 192.168.0.0 mask 255.255.255.0 nomodify notrap
This tells ntpd that 1.2.3.4 and all IP addresses from the 192.168.0.0 range will be allowed to synchronize on this server, but they will not be allowed to modify anything. All other IP addresses in the world will still obey the default restrictions (the first line in the ntp.conf).
In the end, the complete file will look like this (almost all original comments have been stripped out for clarity):

Lastly, never forget man pages:
$ man ntp.conf
is likely to answer most of your remaining doubts.

I maintained , Infotype 50 , (created from 01.04.2007)
When i tried to maintained Infotype 2011 . (from 01.04.2007) record is not created , it gives
warning (date is with in selection period) when i press Enter Key over it , No record is created in infotype 2011 .
I sat feature TMSTA = 1 .
In infotype 7 , i maintained Time Mgmt status = 1 .
I want to know what Time Evaluation Report (RPTIME00) will give to me ?
How do i confirm my self that now SAP-HR is running on +ive Time Mgmt with Clock Time.?
Please guide me ...

When you run time evaluation through PT60 schema TM00 you will get the following:
1. Clock in and Clock out entry
All recorded time data documenting the actual attendance times or the actual absence times of employees.
Actual time has the opposite meaning of planned working time.
Example:
According to the work schedule, an employee is supposed to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 3, 1999 (planned working time). The actual time data (actual times) from this day is shown below:
8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Attendance
2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Absence - doctor's appointment
2. SKELETON TIME
skeleton time is a time account in which payment-related times of an employee are managed.
Skeleton time is determined in time evaluation.
Example:
Skeleton time in the standard SAP System consists of:
u2022     Attendance, absence, and off-site work within a contractual period (start and end of working time)
u2022     Overtime hours that exceed approved overtime
u2022     Paid break times
3. FLEXTIME
Working time pattern in which employees can individually determine their own start and end times, as long as a certain number of hours is worked within a defined period of time each day.
*4. FILL TIME
A specific period of working time described in time evaluation that lies within the contractual start and end of working time (excluding breaks).
If an employee works a flextime schedule and is also expected to be at work at certain times (core times), then fill time indicates the difference between the start and end of working time (without breaks) and the core times
5. PRODUCTIVE TIME
The usable working time for a resource. The system determines the productive time using the working time data and utilization rate for the resource as follows:
Productive time = (End of working time - start of working time - break
duration) x Rate of utilization / 100%.
You estimate the downtime at the resource using the utilization rate.
And the results of the following will depend on your settings...
Time evaluation will update the quotas and it will form time balances

Update Broke Dual Monitors...among other things

Well Good Evening everyone....I got home to an updated, broke windows build. I am guessing my PC stayed on and automatically updated over night. I came home to no signal on either of my monitors, all of my software that was installed is now missing,
and i could not get into my PC. I restarted several times but still no success. I finally removed my secondary monitor, and I then had my screen back which is when I discovered all of my settings and software had been removed, kindalike a Refresh PC you can
do on Windows 8. All of my files and documents are still in tact though. Also if I plug my secondary monitor back into the video card, still no signal. I've tried using the Windows+P to extend, as well as going to Screen Resolution but my settings will
not save when i hit apply. This is a bit annoying but I do understand its a technical preview. Just wish my secondary monitor worked, Windows 10 is no good without it. Any ideas?

Have you tried deleting the drivers manually from Device Manager? Remove any and all components that might be conflicting and unplug any unrelated peripherals. Then reinstall the latest Windows 8.1 drivers. Also make sure your
monitor connections are setup properly.

Hi all,
here my results.
You can install it.
It shows up in Effects.
But as soon as you've put it in - Premiere Elements 8.0 crashes.
It even shows implemented time in the preview, but as soon as you work with it for more then 2-10 seconds it let's Premiere crash.
Seems like we have to wait for an update from the developer.

Random Clock Time and Date Changes

My clock time and date changes randomly. I have reset the iPhone and updated its software but it still changes. Can anyone help?

That just happened to me too! It started yesterday April 27 and did it today too. I think it changes around like 1pm-1:15pm. In order to get it to change back to the right time, I just turn off my phone then turn it back on. But that doesn't fix the problem. I don't know why its doing this! :[

The new updater broke my ipod

I've just installed the new updater for my 5G iPod. Now, when I've got the backlight set to off, I can no longer turn it on again by holding the menu key for a few seconds - it just goes to the previous menu no matter how long I hold it down. However, the backlight does work normally when on a timeout setting
Anyone else having this problem? Think I'll get hold of the bug-fix updater (the previous version!).

the reason is that its doin it is because for the
hold menu thing is that you have to be at the main
menu to turn it off.. its really only for when you
have it switched to "always on" when you have it on

No, it doesn't work at the main menu either. And no, it did work from anywhere with version 1.0.
Basically, the updater broke it like I said, and there was another person who posted the same problem at the same time i did.
This is a bug caused by the updater.

Last iOS update broke iphone5

3 days ago iOS 8.2 update happened. Since then my phone is froze either black or Apple or sometimes a screen like "blue screen of death like on a comp"?I've tried itunes , I get error 2002. Tried downloading from cloud. Last night tried reiboot_ free program but didn't work so now wants $59.00 for paid program. I don't trust this will work. I'm ready to stop using Apple and go back to droid.

I can't count the number of iOS updates I've done and only encountered 1 major issue since purchasing a 1st Generation iPod Touch.
Error 2002 is indicating a USB communication error, if you are using a hub or a front USB connection on a desktop try plugging into a primary USB port. You might also want to use a different cable.

Excise Part 1 updation at the time of issue.

I am having one requirement regarding RG23 A part 1 updation at the time of issue.
1) How the register part 1 updated at the time of goods issue.
2) I purchased one material from two different vendor. One is excise unit & other is non excise.
At the time of goods issue to shop floor how the system determine that this issue is from excisable material or non excisable material.And accrdingly how will update part 1 entries.
Every time i will go to J1I5 transaction for updation of RG23 A or it will update automatically.

In CIN - basic settings - Maintain excise groups there in that outgoing excise invoice Excise invoice during the billing and Create and post inv in single make the both fields un mark.
Hope this will make you to create invoice and excise invoice separately, or els find if any exit is used earlier.

Updating a Real-time Infocube

In one of the requirements in BPS planning.
We are using the Exit function for validating the data.
In our function module we are fetching the data and two of the fields in the cube needs to be modified in the cube after completion of the validations.
I would like to know if there is any existing functionality or Function module in BPS planning for this for updating the Real-time Info cube.

I've been having the same issue, but have just discovered something on my own that hasn't been pointed out in any of the forums I've visited. In what I thought would be a vain attempt to help myself, I went to System Preferences, Users & Groups, and then clicked on Login Items. I discovered that one of the Items that was listed to open automatically upon login was iTunes Helper and that there was an exclamation point beside it indicating that it was incompatible. I simply deleted that item and now I don't have the situation you described and my wireless is connected. Hope this helps!
