10.5.8 can't download iwork documents from icloud anymore

I am not sure what changed.
I can no longer download iwork documents from icloud because "Download Document" is greyed out.
I was able to download documents from icloud just until recently
I am having this problem with my Powerbook G4 running 10.5.8.
As I said it worked until recently...

Sorry, I'm a bit confused - you said you're using a Powerbook G4 with 10.5.8? According to these system requirements:

You are not able to take advantage of iCloud with a Powerbook.
So which model are you actually using if it worked previously?

Does anyone know how to download iWork documents from iCloud to Mac, most specifically from Pages 5.0 and Numbers 3.0. It seems that Apple have taken away the ability to do so, as in the past I believe there was a download button... All I am trying to do is download the document to attach and send via Gmail.
Extremely frustrating as I can't find any discussion surrounding this problem.

You do have to consider document syncing realistically. Whilst download speeds of 16, 32 or 50 Mbps are quite common, upload speeds are another matter, with many ISP's providing users with little more than 1 Mbps. At 1 Mbps a 250 MB document will take in excess of half an hour. Such times may well cause problems if documents are regularly being opened and edited on multiple devices.

Ok, and is this on your Mac in the native Mail application, or on your Mac using iCloud webmail at http://www.icloud.com/ in a web browser? If the latter, which web browser?
When you say you "can't download" - do you actually mean download and save to your hard drive as a file, or do you mean you can't view PDFs inside the mail application?
What happens exactly when you try to download/view these PDFs? Any error message?

What do you mean by "documents"? Word or Pages files, spreadsheet files?
Also, on your device, in Settings>iCloud, you have to have an on/off setting for Docments&Data. If not what kinds of entries do you have on that screen?

The libary is in the cloud, very large libary.

You cannot access Photo Stream from iCloud.com.
Photo Stream is a sync tool, not a backup solution.
You can get the last 30 days of photos from your Photo Stream by installing and signing into iCloud Contol Panel.
To get your Whatsapp and Camera Roll data you will need to restore it from your backup to another iOS device.

I started downloading an episode from itunes. before it was fully downladed, I accidentally stopped the download. The video does not exist in my videos, but icloud seems to think so. Icloud therefore does not give me te option of downloading the episode anymore, only the option of watching, which then takes me to 'vidoes' where the video does not exist.

Pages will not open a downloaded .pages document from iCloud because index.xml file not found?

New to using iCloud. I created a large pages document on Mac Air and saved it to my iCloud account. Found it at home on desktop Mac and downloaded it. No problem. However, it will not open due to the index.xml file not being found. What should I do to open this document? I've tried several things and no luck yet. Thanks for any tips! :-)

4. One of my choices in the "Open With" selection is Pages (default) (5.0.1)

In my "Open WIth" selection there is also a Pages (4.0.4), but that didn't work for me.
Now, here is a caveat. If before you open your document you instead first click on an open Internet window, then the "Open With" selection disappears from the File menu. In that case just single click again on the document icon again and the "Open With" selection returns.

I can't download my app from icloud

I tried to re-download my facebook messenger app after it updated because it would not let me open it (just like every other app that updates on my phone). when I tried, it said i needed to sign in and verify my billing information. I did so and it said "my purchase was declined". I don't understand what is going on because 1. it is a free app that I am just re-installing and 2. my card is perfectly valid. can someone please help me resolve this?

you possibly have an overdue balance. it could also be because your billing information is wrong. check those and if it isn't resolved, call apple

Can't Download Album Artwork From Itunes Anymore

Hi, as i browse through coverflow with itunes, my ipod and my iphone i like having high quality album artwork from itunes. As i don't buy my music directly from iTunes i usually just change the fields of the first song of the album to the exact same as the way it is in the iTunes store, so i can get album artwork from them, however now it isn't working anymore, i have tried downloading artwork for a few albums and it isn't coming up it anymore and says "Artwork for... Cannot be found". For example now im trying with Beyoncé's new album I Am...Sasha Fierce and i changed everything on the first song to match exactly as it is on the iTunes store, such as artist, album, year, composer, genre EVERYTHING! please can someone help, i have quite a big screen and it looks bad when i get the artwork from amazon or google images. Thanks.

Can I download my pictures from iCloud if my Macbook is gone?

I've just had my Macbook stolen. It had irreplaceable pictures of my 4-year-old from birth and up untill today. No backup.. iCloud was recently installed on my Mac, as well as the find my iPhone app. Is it possible to use these features to track my Mac and pictures. Are the pictures now floating around on a "cloud" and downloadable, or lost forever??

ALWAYS sync photos to a computer, don't count on icloud to store them for you. It does include photos from the camera roll in a backup, but that's all - and restores are not reliable when it comes to photos.

Since you should always be syncing photos to your computer as you would photos from a camera, then sync from iphone to itunes/computer, then sync from itunes/computer to ipad.

FOR A PC:
On a PC, simply drag photos to the designated Photo Stream Upload folder. By default, this folder is located atC:\Users\<user name>\Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads. You can change this location by visiting Photo Stream Options in the iCloud Control Panel for Windows.

Can't download SD versions from iCloud

From the purchased section in the cloud, I used to have a choice between the HD and SD versions of shows and movies. Now after 6.0 it will only download the HD version. Is there a setting that can change this?

I've got a similar issue and a workaround.
With TV series, I only want to download the SD version to iPad. Go to iTunes, view purchased content ... No option to switch sd/hd. Start downloading an episode (hd it seems) then pop over to Videos app and view shows. Select to see "show all episodes" and at the bottom there's sd/hd option.
Come on Apple, this is way confusing.
