10.5 will be removed from my machine

Updating to 10.5 was such a mistake! Programs are locking up and when you try to force quit them they will not quit, then the finder goes non responsive. Launch services is always reverting back to apple's default settings when ever I restart the machine. It's kind of funny the only time launch services doesn't reset is when the computer crashes. The last time the finder went down it took my mail settings and account with it. Thanks apple! 10.5 was a mistake!.. I have been using macs sine 1991, this has got to be the biggest mistake of an operating system I have ever used. Now that I am done ranting I will erase 10.5 and reload 10.4.

This is a user-to-user forum and we are all just users like yourself.
Obviously you have problems, but they are not because of Leopard.

John Hammer said it best -- backup first and always. That's why Time Machine and periodic clones of your boot drive to an external disk are so valuable.
That said – the Lion upgrade will retain all user data, files, settings, mail, and preferences. Mind you that a few settings and their location have changed.
Before you actually use Lion, may I recommend spending the first evening looking at every single preference panel in System Preferences. Many of the user interface choices can be reverted back to mimic Snow Leopard if you choose.

You must surely be able to add and subtract songs on specific playlist?

I fixed this issue (with help from tech support) and it involved several things.
After adding a song to iTunes, right-click on the song in iTunes and select "Update iTunes Match."
OR go to the iTunes menu-->Store-->Update iTunes Match.
Maybe that's the reason, it just hadn't updated to the cloud.
OR maybe it's not a high-enough bitrate file. This happens to me because most of my tunes are home-recorded.
Sometimes converting to .mp3 or Create AAC version might work. (You do this with a right-click in iTunes, and then you will want to remove the original file from iTunes.)
There is an iTunes Preferences setting, under General Preferences called Import Settings. Try setting it to AAC Encoder and iTunes Plus. That (I think) causes imports to be slightly better quality.

I have been adding to existing play,ist by removing it from icloud (dunno how - but it's an option offered when trying to add to playlist).. I Created a power view in Excel 2013 and uploaded to my Power BI for o365 site.
But when i click on my excel file it opens in browser,After that i click on File tab its showing me two option
1. Save a Copy
2.Download a copy
When i click on save a copy its showing me an warning below

Continue with Save?
If i continue saving it only saves an excel files with data only not the power view which i want to save with applied filters.

Just to clarify, when you hit the option of Save As Copy, the whole experience goes into a "read-write" mode in Excel services, which currently doesn't support authoring, just consumption of PowerView sheets.
Two mitigations that come to mind:
1. Download the copy (as Brad suggests), rename the file and upload.
2. Use the send to option of SharePoint online, give the file the right target document library (can be the same as source) and rename the file:

Is there any way to prevent ISE from freely removing blocks even though they are clearly connected by signals which can change in any clock cycle. Perhaps a global setting for preventing such optimizations ?

In general, XST will only remove logic that does not affect any outputs of the overall design.
It is unreasonable that XST would "suddenly without any changes to the design" rip out logic
that was included in a previous build. You are re-running XST, so something must have
"changed in the design." You could instruct XST to leave it all in, but you would then end up with
a design that has more logic, but no more functionality that the one that left it all out.
The most common reasons for large sections of a design to suddenly get ripped out are
missing clocks or constantly asserted resets. Either of these will cause all the downstream
logic to get replaced with constants, and hence ripped out of the design.

To my knowledge, pictures in photo stream stay there untill there is more than 1000 of them, then after that the oldest ones are removed from photo stream. If your photos have synced to your devices via photo stream or manual syncing they will be there until you elect to delete them.

Hi,
I meet synthesis issue of;
[Synth 8-3332] Sequential element (\IDQUEUE/WCNT_reg[4] ) is unused and will be removed from module CMH.
The WCNT register and IDQUEUE module are removed from design @ synthesis.
At simulation the module and reg are there.
Does anyone know reason why this warning is occurred, and how to fix?

Tried to post a question about restoring my i mac from time machine, but this new format makes no sense to me. I want to restore my i mac from time machine after I reinstall the OS from the original disk. Will a time machine restore only restore the applications and data or will it restore the current state of the OS. My machine will not let me open any photo applications (aperture, I photo, NX 2) I have to force quit them every time I try to get some work done.

Me compre un ipod classic de 160gb cada vez que trato de ponerle musica de mi disco duro externo solo copia hasta 1500 canciones y luego me congela el Itune y no lo puedo cerrar, me pide que restaure el ipod como de fabrica, lo hago y nada. Is your device recognized by your computer? If yes, copy the pictures and videos as shown in this article:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
If it is not recognized, try this first: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Disable autosync in iTunes, right click on it in the device list and choose "transfer purchases" to copy apps and other media bought in iTunes to your new library.
Do the same again and choose "backup", to create a manual backup without syncing.
Since your device will be erased due to the new iTunes library during the first sync, you can use this backup afterwards to restore your settings and data.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer before you start, to be able to merge calendars and contacts.

My ol' iMac G5 has been sluggish and buggy lately. I'd love to do a clean install of Leopard, and then do a full restore from a Time Machine backup.

no, this will not help. when you do a full system restore TM will wipe your hard drive and replace everything with the copy of the system at the backup time. You might try doing an erase and install followed by using migration assistant to migrate your user data and/or applications form the Tm drive. that might result in a cleaner system. however, the cleanest way would be to do an erase and install followed by manual migration from the TM drive. Use [this post|http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6185507] as a guide on manually migrating your data. You'd also have to manually reinstall all your apps.
