Did you try the Combo update? http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1048
I am in the habit of running repair permissions, repair disk and doing a backup. Restart in SafeBoot (not mandatory just for good measure) to run the Combo install. Trouble free so far. Hope this helps.

On version 24 tried to update to 25 says install pending and will not update.

Apparently on 11/10/13 at 1:31:34 firefox did a security update from version 24 to version 25. At that time my system may have been doing a backup to a usb drive. In checking other problems on my system that has to do with video hesitation I looked at the version of firefox. When I go to about help section is says I am on version 24. When I click the look for updates, it says a newer version is available. I click to download and it fails. No error message. When I go to the troubleshooting information page and look at the update history. It says that version 25 was installed and is pending installation. How can I get the new version installed? I have a lot saved bookmarks and am afraid to just install the new complete version. Any ideas on what i can do? Appreciate the help.

Greetings. Firstly firefox failing to properly update, and not have and sort of resolution is nothing new. Mozilla, and Netscape has had a long history of dodgy update, poor page rendering, and being as slow (or slower) than glacier on tar- hence it's nickname 'nutscrape'

I can pove this is unique to firefox for at least 'update 26'- Those webpages for sure will with seamonkey.
You can also prove it by way of using something from around V22.
If you can: Us a previus version of firefox. I don't know for sure if that'll messup your set-up. Up to 20 you could have two different versions of firefox installed on the same computer without any conflicts.

I did find a post on a different forum that mentioned that it might be to do with the carrier and they names O2 as being one. I've just come off the phone with Orange who is my carrier and he said that EE (not even Orange which is a subsiduary) is the only carrier that will allow the three way/multi-person call feature on iphones!

If you can't install on top of the current installation then you need to delete or rename the current Firefox program folder to do a clean install.

The D610 didn't get out-of-the-box RAW support until Photoshop CC.
You can either upgrade to CC or use the DNG Converter to convert and open your DNGs in CS5.

It happened to me also but it is installed successfully in the second attempt with my iPhone5.

HT2513 My iCalendar wont open after a OS 10.8.2 update failed to install.

I noticed there was an update for OS10.8.2 so I ran it. The computer needed a restart so I did it but aftwerwards it gave me an error message saying update failed. I restarted and it loaded the OX but the update didnt load and the iMac no longer shows an update needed. Current version is OS10.8.1 and now my iCal wont load and keeps giving me an error message telling me to reinstall with compatiable OSX. OK, now what?

When I go to iTunes and select my iPhone, then Photos, it gives me the option to sync photos from my Mac to my iPhone but not the other way around.
You use iTunes to upload photos to your iDevices, but you can only use it to download photos from the device, if you have iPhoto installed on your computer and your iPhone, and have "Documents & Data" enabled in the iCloud Preferences on your Mac.

If you do not have iPhone installed, use either the PhotoStream or connect the device directly to your Mac to an USB port and and import from the device. This way you can import all photos that are in the camera roll on the device.

But what do you want to do? Sync photos back, or backup your iPhone?
To sync photos back, you use "import", either in iPhoto on your Mac or "ImageCapture", but to back up the iPhone, you use iTunes. But backing up the device will not allow you to access the photos on your mac, see: iTunes 10 for Mac: Back up your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad

I have downloded and saved the file,
and then clicked on SETUP.EXE then an error appears:
it says "C:\PROGRA~1\Symantec\s32EVNT1.DLL. The initialisation of DLL for an installable virtual driver failed."
What should I do now?
Also, is it possible to buy an upgrade for 5.0.? I used to work with CS3 a bit some years ago, and I really MISS the history funktion where all the single steps can be seen & deleted if neccessary. Now I only can press "UNDO" for one time, that's it... if I made 2 mistakes, I can only undo 1 mistake

Any error message? What OS are you running. Just double-checking this is Photoshop CS 5 we are talking about not Photoshop 5.0 correct?

When Firefox tries to do auto update at start I get an error message saying update failed, be sure no other Firefox programs are running. Since none are running I am not sure what to look for. What can I do to eliminate this error?

As I start Firefox the automatic update tells me that Firefox will open after updete finishes. I then receive an error message that tells me the update failed. It also says to be sure there are no other versions ov Firefox running. There are no other instances of Firefox running so the error must be generating from some other issue. Need some hints so I can look further. THis happens on two of 4 computers: a desktop running W7 Ultimate and this web book running W7 Home Premium.

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder:

*C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updates
*Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
*Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer. Do not remove personal data when uninstalling.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

It is probably broken. You can try restoring it using Recovery Mode, but if that fails its time for a new phone. After all, it is 4 generations out of date. See: Recovery Mode
