Since updating, my finder is running at 100%, all the time, Safari 5.4, Mail 1.3. Who is my finder communicating with, what the **** is it doing. Itz noticably robbing time from Safari and Photoshop. Is it the Mac app store? How do I down grade and get rid off the Mac app store or block it communications? I have the firewall almost to max block!

That is precisely my point: if I want to know about a latest version, I will check into it. I do not want anyone or anything to keep tabs and annoy me with a (pop-up?) notification. Others may appreciate such a function - I abhor it. I routinely untick any/every "automatically check for updates" option and Software Update only runs when I decide to run it.
So, there should be an option to enable/disable the Storeagent.
After spending almost 90 minutes with Apple (the last part talking to a Senior Advisor) this afternoon, I don't have answers to my two questions yet -
re. the Storeagent app: because it does run in the background upon startup, he was not sure and is sending a note to their engineers to find out if/how it can be disabled or deleted, and
re. the new SLA for the App Store vs. the regular SLA's for software purchases: he is sending a note to another dept (legal team??) to check on and suggest clarifications on some of the points which appear to be contradictory/conflicting/not at all clear. He actually was of the opinion that there was a limit on downloads (much like iTunes) until I pointed out to him that it says you can download/use it on as many Macs as you own.

I upgraded to iLife 08 from 06 (bad move). I couldn't install iMovie because my Mac is too old (must be Intel-based or comparable). iDVD didn't work--the document window was always black, even with a theme selected. The Virtual Band function in GarageBand did nothing whatsoever. I trashed the '08 applications, moved all Preferences files to my desktop, reinstalled iLife '06. Now, iDVD won't launch--just flashes the menu bar and exits back to the Finder. So, I have several DVD projects on my system that I cannot finish because I cannot reinstall iLife '06 (like the originator of this problem, "How can I uninstall iDVD '08 and install iDVD '06?") I hope someone has an answer as this is frustrating and costly to my small business.

What you CAN do is to get a copy of the Quicktime Player.app file from QuickTime 6.5 (ONLY THE APP FILE, NOT ANY OF THE FRAMEWORKS!) and install that on your machine. Be sure to give it a unique name (such as "Quicktime Player 6.app"). You can open the prefs on that and enable the pro features in QuickTime 6, but not in QuickTime 7, using your QT-6 registration code. QT-6 will then be running on the QT-7 framework. It does seem to work in Tiger; I don't have Leopard to test it with, but thanks to some BUGS! in QT-7, this is the configuration I have to use for a CATV video playback channel application I am working on.
Thanks to Quicktime Kirk for pointing out that this is possible. Sorry, you're on your own to find a working copy of the QuickTime 6.5.3 app. Note that you need ONLY the application package; everything else on your system should remain QT-7.

Forgive me, But this problem is really getting out of hand (apple………) I will now copy/paste my post from three weeks ago. It worked for one person, it should work for others as well. I agree with the windows installer cleanup utility. I have posted this twice in the last two weeks. I found the "windows installer cleanup utility" on Major Geeks. My norton internet security cleared the program as "safe". Download the program and use it to uninstall "bonjour" ONLY. Once this is done, try to go to your Itunes program and attempt to download the latest update. This should work, because the program might see that Bonjour is not available and it will download a new "clean" version of Bonjour. It seems that in the last month, many people have had problems with Bonjour getting some sort of bug................ REMEMBER ONLY DELETE THE BONJOUR PROGRAM WITH THE WINDOWS INSTALLER CLEANUP UTILITY!. Let us know how it works. It only took me about twenty minutes to install the program, use it and get the updated version of itunes from apple! Good Luck!

Do you mean MoreiChatEffects ?
This is "known" to have some issues as the Quartz files that are used are from and older version of Quartz Composer and some will not play in later versions of the OS.
This installs the Quartz files in the "wrong" place.
The Apple ones are in Hard Drive Name/System/Library/Compositions
Ones to be used by all Users should be place in Hard Drive Name/Library/Compositions
Ones for the User only should be put in Hard Drive name/Users/(Account name)/Library/Compositions.
The MoreiChatEffects ones get put in the System/Library/Compositions getting mixed up with the Apple ones.
There should be an "Uninstall" option if you re-run the Installer.
Support Messages on the Site list an issues trying to run in 64 bit mode but end in 2009
iChatFX is something similar but expands on what Quartz can really do.
It takes what ChatFX did and updates it for later versions.
ChatFX (second of those two links) worked up until OS X 10.4.9 At OS X 10.4.10 Apple changed the way the video was produced for iChat (and PhotoBooth) which meant the access part of the Quartz files did not work.
iChatFX (Note the leading "i") was produced by a different company.
The Demo does not have all the 200 options but does have many (with Demo written all over them).
However these also have been caught out by changes in the way Apple grabs the Video from the Camera.
iChatFX also puts files in the "Apple" System/Library/Compositions folder instead of the "All Users" /Library/Compositions folder.
The Good News
IN the Hard Drive Name/System/Library/Compositions folder there is also a file called "DefaultOrder.plist" which can be opened on QuickLook and/or made to Open With TextEdit and lists all the Apple ones that Should be in the folder.

HT4759 How to Completely Uninstall iCloud? Office 2007 Save As Crashes

I can no longer use "Save As" in Office 2007 since I enabled ICloud. Word and Excel Crash. And Outlook does not seem to be about to send more than one email at a time. I have to select the Send/Receive button right after I create a new email. If I wait and create a second email, the first email in the outbox changes status from ready to send to cannot send. And even if I open it and try to send it, it will not send. I have to re-create it.
I want to know how to thoroughly uninstall ICloud. Other posters on Microsoft (Girish M) and Apple (SkinnyNick) have indicated that the problem is related to ICloud. And I can confirm that I started having problems right after enabling ICloud. Here are the references:

I spent a lot of time trying to trouble shoot this problem. I ran the Office install to repair. This did not work. I uninstalled all Office 2007 related products. I then manually purged all directories relating to office including the Common Shared Directories. Then, I ran Microsoft's FixIt to uninstall Office to make sure everything was uninstalled. Then, I reinstalled Office 2007 and it still failed. I thought about installing Office 2010, but the second post (above SkinnyNick) indicates that this would not work.
So, I am looking for a way to uninstall iCloud including that parts that is causing this problem. Now, the second post (above) from
SkinnyNick) says that he tried to uninstall iCloud but this did not fix the problem. He finally reconfigured iCloud by de-selecting Outlook, but I would rather completely remove iCloud.
Can anyone provide instructions on how to completely remove iCloud so that my Office 2007 products will function again using Save As?

As a Windows Application Developer who has more than 28 years of professional development experience, I can tell you that anything is possible in terms of how developers implement their applications. I have seen just about everything under the sun, and it would not surprise me if Apple's iCloud not only places files in key Windows directories, but it may use configuration information in a file as opposed to the Window Registry to control how their application behaves. And this would prevent “System Restore" from fixing the problem. Configuration information can be stored in many places. And, even if you do use the Windows Registry to control how your application works, you can key off of new files (like a user profile file) to control how your application to behaves. I recently downloaded the app because I was curious about using it. Now I'm having issues on my print files (end of file) and the stability of Photoshop CC when I do things like adding layer masks and vector masks. When I look at the dump for output it's indicating that I'm using an unsupported layer type due to Reflow.
How can I uninstall Edge Reflow CC? I have an uninstaller for Edge Animate CC, but not one for Edge Reflow CC.

I said dump, I meant log. I didn't get a screenshot of the message. It said something to the effect of Generator had and error and close Photoshop. When I tried to save my files I received unexpected end of file encountered upon reopening the files upon restarting Photoshop. The first time I received a message was on creation of a layer mask from a vector path. The second time was in a different file, I was converting the vector path to a vector mask. Luckily I saved the original file. It's just a jpg. I was eventually able to edit the file (3 attempts).

You can install CC on two computers and use them both (even different OS if needed)
You can also sign out with your Adobe Creative Cloud application on one computer and log in on another computer, the max of active systems is 2 but it should be possible to have them on multiple systems with signing in and out.

Mozilla needs to make their products more user friendly. There is a multitude of people out there
who are "NOT" very computer literate. Older people like myself, for example, who are old
school, have a difficult time being dragged kicking and screaming into the electronic generation.
My grandchildren are better at this kind of stuff than I am; yet we really don't have much choice
but to try and make the transition, because I have found that there are a lot of types of business
that you cannot get done unless you are willing to do it with a computer, going online.
My problem is not with Firefox (I don't use it because it is too slow) , because I use the Seamonkey browser. The problem I now have is that when I try to download some software, I get a message that says I must first uninstall a certain “add on” file, (npfdm.dll.), a "Free Download Manager" file. When I get the list of add ons through the “help” drop down menu, there is “NO” link or any way I can see that will allow me to uninstall this file from the add on list. Therefore, Seamonkey becomes useless to me. Someone please help me with this. Thank you.
