10.6 Open RIP 2000

Since we have updated all our Macs to 10.6 we are having problems with printing communications to our Windows NT computer running Open RIP 2000 - we print using agfa accuset 1000 ppd.
We are create file in Illustrator CS3 (we have CS4 as well) we hit print and send it to that computer, all is well. The problems lies in the fact the when we reboot the pc in the morning the jobs reappear to be printing (although they were already processed) - the jobs get sent to open rip twice? -but not right away. We never had this problem on any other of the Mac OSX operating systems.
All our computers are networked.
Any suggestions?

Try to deactivate IPV6 on the SL Client and SL Server and then try it again.
This work for me. Already had the same issue under Leopard Server.

  • Report created in SAP/ BEx 7.1 with Excel 2007 can't be opened by 2000/2003

    Hi
    We're currently in the process of migrating to Office 2007 from both 2000 & 2003 and we're finding in testing that staff who use BEx Analyser with SAP 7.1 to create queries and send embedded in reports to others can not be opened by recipients who are still on Excel 2000 or 2003.    Staff who already using Excel 2007 can open the reports however not on earlier versions.  We are ensuring the excel file is saved as the file type .xls so there's no reason we can see why it shouldn't open successfully.
    Has anyone else experienced this?
    Many thanks

  • Cannot open access 2000 MDB into Access 2007

    Hello Team,
    Please find the error message I am getting if I try to open a MDB file Access 2007 ,

    Error Message :
    Your Microsoft Office Access Database or project contains a missing or broken reference to  the file 'BCGDateTime.ocx version 1.0
    If you have any idea on how to open it or alternative way to convert the DB in to readable form in Access 2007.
    Please mail me if you have any solutions @[email protected]

    I use Windows 7 and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.  There is a button in Outlook 2007 that converts either one message or a folder to PDF and then you can save that on your computer and delete the folder/email from your Outlook.  When you save them, you can go to the location where you saved them and click on it and it should open in Adobe. Unfortunately, mine give me the error that I stated above.

  • I can not open Excel (97, 2000, or 2003) spreadsheet in Win98 OS PC using LabVIEW 7.0 Runtime Engine

    Hi,
    I have a problem opening an Excel spreadsheet by a LabVIEW application that is using Runtime Engine 7.0 in a Windows 98 OS environment .
    I tried LabVIEW 7.1, it will not install on Win98. Meanwhile, I installed  Excel 97 and 2000 (Excel 2003 does not install on Win98) and tried to open the spreadsheet, no luck with any combination.
    Same code can open the spreadsheet in a WinXP OS, RTE 7.0, Excel 2000/2003 environment.
    What can I do? Any advise?
    Regards,
    LVLV

    Hi,
    I did some experiment, I found out that Run-Time Engine 7.0 running executable generated at LabVIEW 7.0 environment (code written in LabVIEW 7.1 but save as 7.0) cannot open Excel 2000 files. If I replace Excel 2000 with Excel 2003 application on my pc, the executable code will open the Excel file (Run-Time Engine 7.0 works with Excel 2003).
    Is the Excel 2003 and higher versions will only work with Run-Time Engine 7.0 and higher code?
    How can I make executables using Run-Time Engine 7.0 work with Excel 2000 (Windows 98 operating system)??? (I cannot change Excel and Run-Time Engine and OS versions due to limitations, how can I work with what I have?).
    Thanks for your help.

    Generally when creating a Word file from either a Mac or Win7 pc and opening it on two different machines (either one first) it always prompts that the file is open and will be opened as read only.
    However opening a CSS file does not prompt that it is already open on or from any machine which is causing code edits to be lost.
    What we found from out testing:
    - The file can be saved from one user to the server and WILL NOT PROMPT on other machines until the saving machine has the Dreamweaver program closed completely
    - The file can be closed and  Dreamweaver minimised to the launch bar but it still will not register on other machines that it has been changed.
    - Also, until the  Dreamweaver program is closed on the machines, it will continue to open it's saved version of the file.
    Example Scenario:
    - User 1 opens test.css (which is 2000 lines) and adds some code to the end of the file to bring it up to 2500 lines
    - Meanwhile User 2 opens test.css as well (opens as 2000 lines as User 1’s edits have not yet been saved) and adds in code to bring it to 2300 lines
    - User 1 saves his file and closes it - but  Dreamweaver is still open.
    - User 2 also saves his file and leaves  Dreamweaver  open.
    - The server will report the size and last edit of the file the same as User 2 as he was the last person to save it (and if you open from the Win7 Machine it will show as User 2’s 2300 line version)
    - If User 1 then open's the file again (from either the 'recent' in Dreamweaver OR clicking on the file directly in Finder...which version opens.... The version that User 1 saved! Not the true version on the server, but the version that User 1 edited and saved with 2500 lines in it.
    - Same for User 2, he will open 'his' version with 2300 lines in.
    Other information:
    - Files are opened directly from the server
    - Sometimes the users will save incrementally and re-open
    - Most of the time users will save incrementally and keep the files open
    - The users will never not save incrementally and just save when closing the file once finished
    - The users are usually working on the files all day
    - It is always the bottom lines of code that are lost. It could be a case of the two versions being mixed up and cutting off the newly added lines based on the line count (possibly).
    It is as if Dreamweaver is holding a cache of the version locally and then only properly looking back to the server when it has been completely closed. It is very difficult to see how the server is causing such an impact on these files, there are very few logs which are giving any indication to the root cause of the problems.
    Anyone know if this is a known issue?
    Is there a way that there can be a featured implemented on the server that doesn't allow another user to open a file if it is already open on another machine?
    Thanks

    Your server file handling has nothing, and really nothing to do with Adobe software. If files don't get locked for (over-)writing and/or lose connection to the program opening them, then your server is misconfigured. It's as plain and simple and that. Anything from "known file types"/ file associations not being set correctly, MIME types being botched, crooked user privileges and file permissions, missing Mac server extensions, delayed file writing on the server, generic network timeout issues and what have you. Either way, you have written a longwinded post with no real value since you haven't bothered to provide any proper technical info, most notably about the alleged server. Either way, the only way you can "fix" it is by straightening out your server and network configuration, not some magic switch in Adobe's software.

  • Open Qty Field in Outbound Delivery

    Hi All,
    I would appreciate any assistance that you could offer on this issue.
    It is concerning the little known 'Open Qty' field in the outbound delivery.
    The business process here is to create outbound deliveries, which are then continually added to as and when stock becomes available.
    The Open Qty field should display the open qty from the sales order line, which includes the qty just delivered.
    So for example, a user attempts to add several lines to an existing outbound delivery (ie outbound delivery > deliver sales order).
    The user would then compare the qty delivered against the Open Qty - if they match then ok.  If the qty delivered is less than the open qty, then the user would delete this line as they are only interested in delivering the full qty.
    However the 'Open Qty' is not working as expected.  Eg if open qty on sales order is 2000.  But qty delivered is only 1500, the open qty would = 1500.  This is incorrect.  After the user saves the deliver and then re-checks he would see qty delivered = 1500 and Open Qty = 2000, so then he would know that the full qty was not delivered.
    This business has just migrated from 4.6c (where this field behaved correctly) to ECC 6.0.
    Thanks for any advice.
    Regards
    Guy

    Delivery qty - LIPS-LFIMG.
    You cannot get open quantity directly.
    use this way.
    Delivery qty   - LIPS-LFIMG.
    order qty       - VBAP-KWMENG.
    open qty = delivery qty - order qty.

  • Opening and closing balance values at storage location level

    Dear all,
    I want to know opening and closing balance values and receipts and issue values at storage location level for certain period.
    I tried with MB5B, it is not giving value at storage location level, it is giving quantities at storage location level and values at plant level. But requirement is: please see below example:
    All values are in USD
    Storage location:      1001     1002
    Opening Balance:      2000     3000
    Receipts:                           1000      2000
    Issues:                            2000     3000
    Closing Balance:      1000     2000
    Please help in this regard (I want value of the stock only, not qty)

    vlauation is at plant level (MBEW table) the storage location level does not carry values (table MARD).
    You may have to develope your own ZMB5B  program and calculate yourself what is not stored in SAP.

  • JPEG 2000 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 9

    I've recently switched from APE5 to APE9 and noticed that my .JP2 files wouldn't open in APE9. I also noticed that a JPEG 2000 file extension wasn't available as one of the File Type options that APE9 could open or save to. Am I missing something? Is there a trick to get APE9 to recognize JPEG 2000 file types? Is there a plug-in I need to download? If there isn't anyway to get APE9 to open JPEG 2000 files, any recommendations on software out to that can do this for me? Freeware preferred.
    Jay

    There is no plug-in. Adobe dropped support for jpeg 2000 in PSE 8. If you have a mac, you can use Preview to save in another format. For windows, try Imagemagick (www.imagemacick.org), which is free.

  • Fresh Install, Now Illustrator won't open any DWG/DXF files???

    Hey whats up guys, been having alot of issued with Illustrator (CS2) lately so I did a fresh reinstall.
    Everything seemed to be in working order until I tried to open a 2000 DXF file and got the "Unknown format and cannot be opened" dialog.
    I was sure that the CAD must be a 2004 or something so I expoted again and got the same issue. Then I looked a bit further and noticed that the File > Open menu doesn't even have an option for DXF/DWG.
    What could've caused this feature to get stripped out of a new install? Is there any way to fix this?
    Ryan

    What's up guys, quick update on the situation.
    After some more tinkering around I discovered that Illustrator couldn't even print any documents, as well as discovering some additional errors with the updates and Adobe Bridge.
    So somewhere along the line my "Adobe Suite" got all screwed up, I was even starting to get random error messages in Photoshop.
    In the end my solution was to uninstall Illustrator & Photoshop, then reinstall them both (PS first.)
    That seemed to reinstall a few Shared componenets (like Bridge) which got everything up and running again...glad it worked, but go figure.

  • After 7.3 update I get an error in outlook 2000 and it doesn't work anymore

    I upgraded itunes 7.2 to 7.3 and now when I open outlook 2000 I get a microsoft error outlook has to close. Everything was working fine before the itunes & quicktime update? Everything points to the itunes update??? I do a system restore to before the update and everything works again??

    First man up and admit, that itunes does not suggest, but tells you that update is available and you made a
    decision to download and update. Once you man up - think if you still under warranty. If that is not security
    software according to the link provided, it is hardware. So second try another network, may be your network
    has additional security or firewall. And third decide if it worth to you pay 149 for that phone or get it replaced.
    Unless your 3gs under warranty.

  • Problem printing out to a parallelport printer

    Hello, I am using the javax.comm.*; package and I am having problems
    printing to the parallelport.
    Well, it prints out the string but the problem is that the light for paper feed
    starts blinking eventhough there is paper , once I click the paper feed button
    the printer then prints out the string.
    So, basically, everything is ok, apart from that I have to press the paper feed
    button for each time I want to print something.
    There is an error in my code somewhere, but as I am new to port communications I cannot understand what to do.
    Below is my code, please help.
    Thanks!
    public void print(String s){
    Enumeration ports;
    CommPortIdentifier portId;
         try{
              portId = CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifier("LPT1");
             addPort(portId,s);
         }catch (NoSuchPortException e){
                     e.printStackTrace();
    public static void addPort(CommPortIdentifier portId,String s){
         try{
              ParallelPort port = (ParallelPort)portId.open("LPT1",2000);
            /*port.notifyOnError(true);
            port.notifyOnBuffer(true);
            port.addEventListener(new ParallelPortEventListener(){
                   public void parallelEvent(ParallelPortEvent ppe){
                           System.out.println(ppe.toString());
                           System.out.println("An event has occured");
              try{
                   OutputStream os = port.getOutputStream();
                   if(os == null){
                        System.out.println("Os is null");
                   else{
                          os.write(s.getBytes());
                   //os.flush();
              catch(Exception eis){
                   eis.printStackTrace();
              port.close();
         catch(PortInUseException e){
              System.out.println(e.currentOwner);
              e.printStackTrace();
         catch(Exception ecl){
              ecl.printStackTrace();
    }Of course this class imports :
    import java.util.Enumeration;
    import javax.comm.*;
    import javax.comm.CommPort;
    import javax.comm.CommPortIdentifier;
    import javax.comm.ParallelPort;
    import javax.comm.NoSuchPortException;
    import javax.comm.PortInUseException;
    import java.io.*;

    Wow - I wonder how the OP thought that the

    This logic often leads to obscure questions also, sadly.

  • Writing to serial port

    I currently send ASCII characters to a serial port. I have not errors reported back. Everything appears to be error free, except that the device that I am trying to control does nothing. The device being controlled does not send anything back to the pc. The connection is strictly a one way connection. Do you have to send a carriage return or something to get the ASCII characters to "push" out of the buffer? - Sorry I don't have access to my code at the moment.

    A portion of my code is below. What does the 'flush'
    do? I thought it just emptied out the buffer.
    while (portList.hasMoreElements()) {
    portId = (CommPortIdentifier)
    tIdentifier) portList.nextElement();
    if (portId.getPortType() ==
    ortType() == CommPortIdentifier.PORT_SERIAL) {
    if (portId.getName().equals("COM1"))
    .equals("COM1")) {
    try {
    serialPort = (SerialPort)
    portId.open("SimpleWriteApp",
    d.open("SimpleWriteApp", 2000);
    } catch (PortInUseException e)
    ortInUseException e) {}People get life for this crime!
    try {
    outputStream =
    outputStream =
    tStream = serialPort.getOutputStream();
    } catch (IOException e) {}So you now have two life sentences to serve.
    try {
    serialPort.setSerialPortParams(9600,
    SerialPort.DATABITS_8,
    SerialPort.STOPBITS_1,
    SerialPort.PARITY_NONE);
    } catch
    } catch
    } catch (UnsupportedCommOperationException e) {}Sorry, three life sentences to serve.
    try {
    outputStream.write(rightString.getBytes());
    } catch (IOException e) {}You get the prize! Four life sentences from a short bit of code.
    }P.S. You should really use the COMM api for writing to serial ports.
