10.8.5 and Latest iOS aTV update
I can not get my mac to Airplay to ANY of my 3gen aTV. I can see them on my network, but when I try and connect it "pin wheels" the my monitor switches resoltution for about 10 seconds... then goes back and nothing happens... This didnt happen till I updated mt aTV's to the latest update... help or thoughts on fixing this?
Reset my router, computer and all 3 of my aTv's... cant connect to the aTV's since updating from all the latest updates dating back from a month ago... nothing is jail broken... my iphone, running the latest iOS and all softwares updated can connect to all of my aTV's

I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1. I updated to iOS 5.1.1 on a Windows XP Home Edition with the Service Pack 3 installed on the Windows XP (which I believe is the latest version). After updating, I unplugged my iPod from the computer. I saw that all my photos and videos were on my iPod, but there were no apps. A window popped up and told me to enter a passcode for my iPod. I entered a passcode. I then locked my iPod and entered what I thought to be the correct passcode, but my iPod remained unlocked. Desperate, I tried many passcodes with failure. After a while, my iPod became disabled for a long time. I decided to reset my iPod. After I reseted it, I chose to reset from my earlier back up. After reseting, my computer loaded on all my apps. But, when I started using my iPod, I realized all my photos, videos, music, app data (like game saves and high scores), etc. were gone! I have no idea what to do and I am very stressed about this! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET ALL MY STUFF BACK!!!!!!
Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup. -
I just updated my 3gs to the latest iOS 5 update and now I am unable to text certain numbers. I keep getting the error code 1121611611 invalid number, even though the number I have in my contacts is a 10 digit number. Any suggestions on fixing this?

Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it. -

Is this happening with one particular network or with all? Make sure iOS is updated on the device.
Try this:
Reboot ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. Then try to connect to network.
Go to settings, Toggle airplane mode on/off. Make sure bluetooth is off. Turn on wif (airplane mode off). Try to connect.
Reset Network Settings
Go to settings/general/reset/reset network settings. Then try to connect to network.
If its your home router, then reboot router by unplugging for 5-10min. (do this while you're resetting network settings).
If problem persists, then check for firmware updates on your router.(you check router manufacturer support website for downloads and instructions). -
Someone stole my Ipod and the IOS isnt updated!
Someone stole my ipod and the IOS is not updated so when i look into my icloud to findmyipod, i does not appear.
Is there another way that i can find my device with just my serial number?

No app on the iOS device is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the erase (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 or later on the device. With iOS 7 or later, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

I need more space on my iPhone to update the iOS 7 To do this easily it appears I can delete all my music. That would give more than enough space. After update, will I be able to use sync to put some music back on iPhone? I don't need all my music on iPhone, so earlier did this except for the part restoring some music from MAC to iPhone
Will it work by syncing,Yes. You may not be able to restore all of it, depending on how much storage memory is left after the update. You can make more space on your phone by importing photos and videos to your compluter.

See if your iOS device, computer, and wireless plan all meet the system requirements for Personal Hotspot.
Make sure Personal Hotspot is on: Tap Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot.

If one connection type doesn't work, try another. For example, instead of connecting using Wi-Fi, use USB or Bluetooth.

So I am struggling to get an email to send from inside the pages application. An error prompt of cannot send or save message appears when I try to sends a document via email. Latest ios 8 update through itunes freezes product
Seriously Apple, we should not have to reset our products to factory defaults the get the newest update to work when updating through itunes. My son's ipod updated fine through the ipod (5th) itself but my ipad (2)and my daughters ipod (5th)both encounter an error when updating through itunes. What a way to waste a day.

Why does my Facebook newsfeed not work following the latest iOS software update?

I've just upgraded the software on my iPad mini but I can no longer get my Facebook newsfeed. All it tells me is to add friends!! I can still view my timeline, friends pages and groups etc!
It's just my newsfeed I can't see.
I don't have the same problem on my iPhone though!!!

I have heard that SiteAdvisor 3.4 is now available, which should fix all FireFox 5.0 issues. It is available from siteadvisor.com . Not sure why McAfee isn't doing an automatic update for their users. -
Airplay not working on ios7 and latest apple TV update
I have upgraded to ios7 on my 3rd gen iPad and iPhone 5 and updated my 3rd gen apple TV today. I now can't see the airplay icon on the iPhone or the iPad when I bring up the command centre. They were there on ios6. Airplay is switched on, on apple TV and they're all on the same wifi network. Any ideas on whats going on? I have looked at the similar posts and the fixes dont work for me.
CheersAfter several hours to back up and restore my ipad 3 the airplay is working. It may have been there all the time. The first Apple rep tried to help thinking it was bluetooth connection. I did everything she told me to to including starting the ipad as a new ipad. Second rep tried going thru some of the same things. Then when I insisted that my Bose was an airplay...not bluetooth he told me to swipe up to get the command center and there it was. They moved the airplay to the command center instead of the upper left hand corner of the screen where it appeared in ios6.
I still don't have airplay on my iphone 4s but the leaving that alone until I check my husbands phone that has not been upgraded to ios7.
I give Apple Support and A for effort but a C for knowing the new platform. -
I have 2nd Generation iPod touch and latest iOS release for it is 4.2.1. Most of the Apps on iTunes now require iOS 4.3 at minimum. Isn't it outrageous that Apple is not supporting such iOS update for older iPod? Is there plan to discontinue such support?
I have a 2nd generation iPod Touch too and I currently have 24 Apps that I cannot update. Unlike you however, I hold the App developers responsible for the fact that they (the App developers) are not supporting iOS 4.2.1.
It is the App devloper who decides to modify their App so that it then requires a particular version of the iOS. Since a developer can have a free and a paid version of an App, it begs the question why don't they have the older and newer versions.
I now check the requirements for an App before I click on update. If it still only requires iOS 4.2.1, then I can update. If it requires a higher iOS, the I simply don't update it. One good thing is that by now, most of the older Apps are quite stable and bug free, so the update is usually to give something extra. Since I cannot update the App, I simply forgo the "extras". -
Battery failure on 4S after uploading latest ios update
Updated the latest IOS software update yesterday and this morning my battery was completely dead. Went to the Apple store and they could not charge it and told me I would have to buy a new phone or a new battery. Anyone else have this problem?
It is horrible ! my wife is kicking and screaming because I convinced her to upgrade to IOS 7 and happens to be that she just doesn't like the os but I have a major issue with the battery, I have closed all location services period ! turned off my wi-fi completely, not using my bluetooth at all, basically turned every option that makes it a smartphone and still I am only able to get 3.5 hours on a 100% charged battery to phone going dead. If I put it on airplane mode then It seems to be ok. That tells me that there is still some setting that i have not turned off that is draining my battery. The phone does get warm when it is off the airplane mode. I have turned off the background app refresh, all location services, all notifications, all of the so far posted recommended fixes but no result, apple can not hold our devices hostage like this. Need a fix ASAP !.

IOS Software Update - No Notification or Automatic Download
As of today, it has been 11 days since iOS 8.2 has been released and I still have not received an iOS Software Update Notification on my iPhone 6 Plus nor has iOS 8.2 automatically downloaded like it had on my other iOS devices. I knew iOS 8.2 was out, but, I like to wait a bit to install just in case bugs are revealed by early adopters. I had to manually check for the iOS 8.2 Update on my 6 Plus.
So, I'm curious why I did not receive an iOS Software Update Notification/Automatic Download? I have noticed previously, on other iOS devices, that the number of days between and an iOS release and the iOS Software Update Notification/Automatic Download is not consistent. I understand that you have to be connected to a power source and on wifi for this feature, which obviously is one variable, but, 11 days??? The 6 plus battery life IS AWESOME, but, not that awesome. I have definitely charged my phone and have been on wifi a couple of times since the iOS 8.2 release.
Any ideas? Just curious.
